The last trip through the car wash I opened the liftgate and kept it open while I dried my vehicle and vacuumed the floor.  After I shut the liftgate, water continued to pour out.  I even took the vacuum at the carwash and stuck it on the corners where the water was running out.  This didn't stop it from running.  I drove 5 minutes to the grocery store and had to wipe down the area again.  I drove home and parked it in the garage and wiped it down again.

Several hours later when we were leaving to go out for the night I had to wipe off the area again where water had ran out and dried.

I'm thinking there is some sealer missing or something is wrong with the spoiler.

Looking to buy my next vehicle.  I was going to move to Lexus and get the 350NX Hybrid.  However, there are no cars to be had and Lexus has stopped production due to the chip shortage.

Lexus is also marking up vehicles $2-$5k.  So a loaded Lexus NX would cost me the same (if not more) than a loaded 2022 Corsair GT

There is a loaded GT near me.  $62k.  Approx. $65k with taxes and fees. Supposedly, the dealership is negotiating prices and NOT marking up the vehicle. 

I already know Lincoln is a great brand to drive.  Not happy with the depreciation on them, but times are tough right now and if I can get a 2022 Corsair GT with no markup that might be a good thing.

Any thoughts on the 2022 Corsair?  Would it be a dependable, enjoyable car that I could own for the next 8-10 years?

2025 Lincoln Corsair Order Guide.pdf

    In October bought a used 2023 Corsair Reserve with a 201A package & a Pano roof, only 0005079 km. It worked fine until Tuesday Nov 26 when suddenly the intelligent access works only on the driver's door. The Intelligent Access IS enabled in settings. Also, when I get in to start it, the indicator light on the Park shift key is flashing, when started the instrument cluster displays what it wants to not as I had it set, when I turn the engine OFF, the touch screen displays the "turning off to conserve battery, please press the ignition to turn off" notification.

   Any ideas why this started happening? I have searched and gone through the owners manual to no avail.

The dash error message said something like "Get service soon" with a wrench icon. The phone app showed "Powertrain malfunction/reduced speed." It also showed a second fault was "service engine soon." After shutting off and restarting, I switched to Excite mode and it seemed to run the engine and drive, so I headed back home on surface streets, having the relative at the airport rent a car.

After driving a few minutes of the now-90-minute trip home, the failure happened again, slowing me to maybe 15-20mph. I managed to get to a small park parking lot and tried to get a Lincoln concierge tow. The app indicated they would arrive at 1030pm (5 hours!). Fortunately my daughter has AAA and got a tow truck in 40 minutes, and we got an uber quickly for the 40 minute freeway trip home. AAA dropped my Corsair at my Lincoln dealer which happenef to be pretty close by.

So what the heck happened with my car? A loaner isn't available for a month! The failure wsrning detail is "powertrain or AWD/4WD drive fault. Contact dealer asap." The service engine warning detail was "...issue with engine will cause reduced power. If not repaired soon may damage engine." This sounds like a catastrophic failure. Could have been even worse if I hadnt been able to get off the freeway safely.

Any one else have this issue and more importantly a sulution?

The Lincoln Corsair – which was just treated to a mid-cycle refresh for the 2023 model year – continues to rack up accolades as a favorite in the compact luxury crossover space. Most recently, that includes making the cut on Consumer Reports‘ list of the 10 best luxury SUVs on sale right now, as well as one of the most satisfying models in its segment as well. Thus, it should probably come as no surprise to learn that the Lincoln Corsair also ranked among Consumer Reports‘ most satisfying luxury SUVs of 2024, too.

As is always the case, CR‘s list of the most satisfying vehicles comes straight from its owner surveys, and more specifically, one particular question – “given the opportunity, would you buy or lease this vehicle again?” The percentage of owners that respond with a “definitely yes” are what constitutes a vehicle’s overall score. When determining this most recent set of rankings for 2024, Consumer Reports limited eligible vehicles to include only compact and compact luxury SUVs/crossovers, which were then divided up by segment.

In the compact luxury SUV space, the Lincoln Corsair ranked fifth with an overall score of 72 out of 100 possible points, placing it behind the Lexus NX450h+, the BMW X3, the Lexus NX350h, and the Mini Cooper Countryman. In addition to being popular among owners, Consumer Reports also gave the Corsair a solid road test score, coupled with average predicted reliability and owner satisfaction scores.

The consumer organization praised the Lincoln Corsair for its copious amounts of power, the availability of the plug-in hybrid Grand Touring model, its responsive handling, comfortable ride, and quiet cabin. It wasn’t as big a fan of the lack of front seat bottom support for longer drives, however, as well as the “unintuitive” gear selector, but did praise the crossover’s fit and finish inside the cabin.
