2 new colors (Eruption Green and Glacier Gray), while Space White and Carbonized Gray were deleted.  Only really significant change is that the panoramic roof on the Premium is now optional.

Following multiple rounds of price increases, the Ford Mustang Mach-E received a new lithium-iron phosphate battery pack for 2023 standard range models, which corresponded with a round of price cuts for the EV crossover. Since then, production of the Mach-E has ramped up significantly, which – coupled with a drop in demand – has led to a bit of an inventory glut. Thus, it was no surprise to see the Ford Mustang Mach-E get a round of discounts last month, and now, even dealer staff are receiving incentives if they purchase one as well, according to a memo recently seen by CarsDirect.

This new incentive applies to dealer employees that are eligible for the company’s D-Plan, which is a form of Ford Plan Pricing that offers some of the very best discounts available. As part of this new promotion, those employees can score a four percent MSRP discount on the Ford Mustang Mach-E, as well as a $2,500 cash incentive – otherwise known as “AZD RCL Cash” (A, Z, and D-Plan Pricing, plus Red Carpet Lease incentives) – now through September 4^th, 2023.

The only catch is that employees wanting to take advantage of this offer will have to pay a $375 fee, but otherwise, it seems like a fairly attractive deal. Opting for a fully-loaded Mach-E GT Performance Edition with its $70k MSRP would give eligible employees a discount of around $2,800 – plus the $2,500 bonus cash for a total of $5,300 off sticker.

Those eligible for the $3,750 federal tax credit could potentially save even more money when buying a new Ford Mustang Mach-E, not to mention those that live in states like California, which offer their own clean energy credits, which could save them thousands more off the purchase of a new EV crossover, too.

They definitely need to be replaced - but I am curious as to make/style/etc. given that they are run-out at 25K!!

DEARBORN, Mich., May 2, 2023 – Ford is re-opening its order banks for the all-electric Mustang Mach-E on Wednesday as completed plant upgrades support production ramp in the second half of 2023, with feature improvements on the way – including increased range for standard range battery models to a targeted EPA-estimated range of 250 miles for RWD and 226 miles for eAWD. 

The production increase for Mustang Mach-E in the second half of this year is part of Ford’s plan to scale electric vehicles and make them more accessible and affordable for customers.

Earlier today, Shelby American revealed that it would soon be unveiling its own unique version of the Ford Mustang Mach-E, some time after a one-off variant of the EV crossover was introduced at the 2021 SEMA Show. Now, that new, special model – which the long-time tuner calls the Shelby Mustang Mach-E GT – has officially been revealed with an array of upgrades and unique touches, though it’s only available in Europe.

The Shelby Mustang Mach-E GT is the iconic company’s very first production EV, though it’s limited to just 100 packages, which can be used to retrofit 2021-2023 model year crossovers or added to a new one by Shelby American dealers in Europe. That package consists of modifications designed to reduce weight and improve handling, and include an array of carbon fiber parts such as the hood splitter, custom lightweight wheels, mirror caps, and door trim.

Additionally, the Shelby Mustang Mach-E GT features a special handling package that lowers the vehicle, Shelby badging inside and out, racing stripes, and Shelby floor mats, along with an official identification number. The final piece of the puzzle is the new Borla Performance Sound System, giving the otherwise silent all-electric crossover a proper ICE soundtrack. Each Shelby Mustang Mach-E GT also includes a paid membership in Team Shelby, and is be eligible for documentation in the official Shelby Registry. Expected to launch in July, this special package retails for €24,900 ($27,483 USD), not including the cost of the donor vehicle.

Drove past my local Ford dealer this morning on the way to work, noticed the GT in the lot.  Got to work, pulled up the dealer site, check the window sticker - lo and behold, it's a GTPE!  Price listed as "Please Call," naturally.  I text my service guy (we have 4 Fords, so we're on a first-name basis) and jokingly ask what the markup is, estimating $10K.  To my surprise, he writes back, "$10K, but for you...sticker."  He's said this before every time I drool over a limited-edition car - GT350, GT500, Mach 1, etc.  So I laugh it off.  Decide to stop by after work, and he wasn't bluffing!  I've never bought a vehicle from them, but with the amount of service I've done there over the past 15 years, I guess that earned me some small benefit.  Did a deal at MSRP and a decent trade-in on our 2020 Escape Hybrid - not quite what CarMax was offering, but the trade-in savings on sales tax more than made up the difference.

I've been tempted to order a Mach-E on and off since announced, and when I obsessively build-and-price my dream car, it matched this vehicle exactly: GTPE, Cyber Orange, Co-Pilot360 Active + Glass Roof, Interior Protection Package.  It was fate!

I've already ordered the Michelin Pilot Sport All-Season 4 tires (commuting to work in 30-something-degree weather the next few days will be...interesting), and need to call an electrician to wire up a 240V plug in the garage, because 3 miles of charge per hour is not gonna get me to work and back!

Farewell to my beloved Escape Hybrid - after 2 years and 27K miles, she served me well and will be missed.

If you are still waiting for a build date, check with your dealer to make sure they update your order to remove Active Park Assist 2.0.  There will be a $325 credit on the invoice.

"Ford Motor Co. has temporarily stopped selling its home electric vehicle chargers and is directing dealers to third-party sites such as Amazon for generic versions of a key accessory as sales of its Mustang Mach-E ramp up.

The automaker issued a stop sale for its $799 Ford-branded wall boxes on Feb. 24 after it discovered some weren't working properly, a spokesman told Automotive News. It's unclear how long the hold will last, although the spokesman said Ford was "working hard to alleviate the matter with all parties involved."

While the delay isn't a deal-breaker for most customers — many don't purchase the Ford-branded charger and instead use the free but less-efficient mobile cord or a third-party wall box — it's another bump in the launch of one of Ford's highest-profile new vehicles and a growing pain for an automaker looking to raise its electric vehicle credibility. It's also a frustration for dealers looking to cash in on a major in-house accessory."
