Hello, my father was a long time retired Ford Talbotville employee, where we were able to access to the AZ plan. He has since passed and I've only been able to access the X plan even though I was resistered and had received 2 pins previously for the AZ plan. I recently ran into a long time retired committee man who said I should have access for the rest of my life. Can anyone confirm that is correct here in Canada. Thank you.

I kept it for awhile... but they eventually caught up with me. I was literally 3 months short of the required 10 years to keeping it, but frankly I was done. Thankfully, my brother in law is now an employee... should I ever desire to buy another new vehicle.

Is any Ford Retiree have problems with the transition of the Ford Benefits Center website/content/employee responses since Jan 1st this year? My wife and I are both retirees now and we are both having issues getting almost any request handled correctly and in a timely manner by the new Alight Solutions call center!!

I called Ford for information for pension for salaried employees to see if there is a survivor benefit after an employees death. He was retired in the 90’s and just passed away. Trying to find out some info because the person I talked to couldn’t tell me anything , I’d have to wait 60-90 days. Seems unreasonable. I just want to know if there’s a benefit or not. He would not have been in UAW.

Here we are in December and nothing. So we’ve been calling every day and requesting a call back.... nothing. So now we’re on hold, and it’s been almost 4 F***ING hours!!! What the hell is going on at NESC?!

Does it not say a retired employee may lump sum 1 yr of benefit payments at the start of each year the employee can make a election of monthly or the year its a reduction for the whole year up front but it clearly states this n yet the benefit rep is saying it don't say that when it clearly does the language has been carried since 2007 agreement. Has anyone did a year up front? On retirement

	Salary Employee.

Long time coming, but it was the right time for me to go. A most interesting career around some most interesting projects.

	Some of the highlights

	Started Jan '99 as contract

Worked on the development of 2002 Thunderbird complete vehicle, developed a successful process for tracking engineering progression.

Worked on Ford 500, setting up a project support team for the CNE. Saw one person go from FCG directly to LL6. She was all about face time, and no substance. Luckily she didn't last.

Short stint on minivan again for CNE

2005 Mustang, was there for the BATTLE over independent rear suspension, interim PMT lead as a contract engineer.

Worked for CNE on Flex/MLT - side note, CNE was on my extremely short list of high quality manager types.

Laid off in Jan '09 as contract, in the last wave to hit in that era.

Went back to school, picked up Masters in project management and MBA.

Starting back as contract Jan '11

Don't recall the 1st project, it never got off 1st base

Went into transmission working on superduty transmission, it was short term project

Went on to body project management on large body stamping dies. Worked for one of the most flamboyant chief engineers in my entire career. Watched him throw reams of paper up in the air during a director level meeting.

Jan '13, hired into transmission on superduty as project engineer.

Moved to Hybrid transmissions, and kind of found a niche that was good for Ford and myself.

While up to my eyeballs in project management on hybrid transmissions, given a special project to manage that IMO was the pinnacle of my career. I did the electric rear drive proof of concept attached to a hybrid vehicle.. Essentially given 2 months to do a forecasted 6 month long project. Not only was project finished on time, was actually finished a week or two early. It was so successful, mgt decided to skip an entire phase (or two) of prototypes. I received an award from Lincoln director of engineering for that project. Had a panic just before mgt drive, and we had to do an emergency shipment back to allen park from MI UP. It arrived and before I could even get down to allen park, the very minor issue was repaired and back on the truck to UP. Literally it was a 45 minute repair.

Finished up on HF55 and BEV managing prototype builds.

It was a lot of fun, and stressful. My supv said in a recent review, I have no idea what you do, I know things are getting done, and nobody is complaining, so I guess you're doing ok Basically, give me a goal, give me the resources and help when I ask for it, other than that, just let me manage the projects. Most supervisors were good with that. The one I struggled with the most... well, he wasn't a fan favorite, even at the director level. Long list of industry credentials, and performance awards. Three awards stood out, one mentioned above, second was VP of engineering for navigating through covid shutdowns and not missing one single delivery to program, and lastly was from a LL6 for solving a problem that had them stymied.

I worked with some incredibly talented and highly intelligent people. Without their direct and indirect support, I wouldn't have been 1/10 as successful. Finished up working for a great LL6 and LL4 (who should be a LL2), and the LL2

Already on to my next life stage, dragging a 5th wheel around the country.

I retired July 1, 2022. I was originally going to retire on May 1 but my UAW benefits rep suggested I stay through May to receive the $1500 bonus. I did. Soon after I retired I was locked out of the area where I could view my pay stubs so there were a couple I never received. I tried to make sense of things by monitoring my bank direct deposits but that doesn't show your gross payments etc to tell if you have been shorted (guessing game). The problem is that I did not receive the bonus payment and don't know who to talk to. My UAW chairman said he would get on it but as of almost 2 months I still have no record of payment. Any suggestions on who I should contact? I worked out of local 245 Research and Engineering Michigan.

Does anyone know if there is any reason to choose a particular month or number of years before retiring early (essentially quitting as I’m not retirement age)? For example would it make a big difference if you chose after an anniversary? This is for those choosing to retire before 30 years anniversary (so not eligible for full retiree benefits)

I know I can get a lump sum if I leave early, invest it on my own and put a family member down as a beneficiary. If I stay until 30 years, I can’t lists. Beneficiary until I retire

I wonder if anyone else is in this situation?

A few months ago I got a 85 page summary plan description specifically for deferred vested benefits. This means I am owed benefits on retirement but am not of that age yet, and am no longer an active employee. I was salaried during my time at Ford.

I'm an ex-employee with 16 years of service. When I left I had the option of medical benefits to choose from on retirement like FMP, CMP, HAP etc etc.

This plan summary appears to change that, in one sentence it says "you are not considered a retiree for coverage under other company sponsored benefit programs (such as healthcare and life insurance)"

So this seems to say I can no longer get my healthcare benefits that I have earned and were previously eligible for?

I understand Ford has the right to change benefits at any time with BOD approval, but can they just remove this and not compensate somehow? I would call NESC but I'm sure they have been coached to avoid answering as usual. Anyone know anything? Thanks.
