<p>
	Just today took delivery of a 2022 Expedition Platinum after an 11 month wait. For those of you who have actually taken delivery, is there an actual printed owners manual that comes with the car ?  Would like to know the facts before reporting this to my sales rep.
</p>

<p>
	Thanks in advance. Lots of bells and whistles compared to my 2015.

	In made of some help. I recently purchased a 2012 expedition with the 5.4 l from a neighbor. He stated it had an engine miss and it had been doing it for some time. He said he was told by his daughter that it had started missing a while back but she just continued to drive it.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I ran codes on it and I got the code for multiple cylinder misfires, misfire cylinder 1 2 3 and 4 as well as a O2 sensor code for the upstream sensor on that bank. I replaced all of the spark plugs, all of the coils, both upstream O2 sensors, the catalytic converter on that side which was plugged, the cam phasers and all of the fuel injectors and the problem persists.
</p>

<p>
	I drove the vehicle 40 miles round trip to get the Catalytic converter replaced and when it wasn't running right I rechecked the plugs and they were all carbon fouled. I replaced them again and it still has the same miss. I unplugged two of the coils one at a time on that bank and it made no difference in the way it ran. Is there another sensor that could be making this happen, could the ECM be bad or do I need to start tearing into the loom and looking for wiring issues? It's burning the plugs in all four cylinders and showing a Miss in all four cylinders so I'm stumped.

	Hello everyone. Here is a conundrum I have multiple people sharing in, which has turned into an impossible nightmare.
</p>

<p>
	The driver's side rear directional and brake light goes out on my 2017 Ford Expedition XLT - I get a fast flashing dashboard light.
</p>

<p>
	In EVERY auto I have ever owned, this means the bulb is out, so I replace it.
</p>

<p>
	No good.
</p>

<p>
	I then replace the socket.
</p>

<p>
	Still no good.
</p>

<p>
	I bring it to my dealer who says his technician found a short and it works fine now.
</p>

<p>
	He's right it does.
</p>

<p>
	For two days! Then it starts again - no rear directional or brake light.
</p>

<p>
	Back to the sealer.
</p>

<p>
	NOW he tells me the PCM is shot, as in, it is not functioning properly, and no one can fix it.
</p>

<p>
	THEN he tells me that Ford DOES NOT MAKE A REPLACEMENT PART.
</p>

<p>
	Yikes!
</p>

<p>
	He goes on to tell me I should start searching junkyards.
</p>

<p>
	Before I go that route, i send it to someone who specializes in such modules, down in the state of Georgia. They return it saying the module cannot be repaired.  Thanks.
</p>

<p>
	Has anyone had this problem?
</p>

<p>
	One thought among friends is to rewire the directional and brake lights to the hitch  - because in checking the hitch lights separately from the car's,   they work.
</p>

<p>
	Um...
</p>

<p>
	Thoughts?
</p>

	I ordered a Expedition Platinum Ultimate on 2-27. As of this morning I had heard absolutely nothing from anyone about order status. I called my salesman and he was shocked as the dealership had info on my order. He assumed that I was getting the same info as the dealership. Anyway, my order was confirmed on the day I placed the order and on 3-20 my order was scheduled for build the week of 5-12. Apparently my email address was screwed up somewhere along the line. And yes, I have checked my spam/trash/junk folders. I now have my order number and VIN to do my tracking. I was greatly relieved to learn that my order was actually making progress and not lost in cyberspace. Good luck to any of you that have pending orders.   CJDave.

	My order for a 2025 Expedition Platinum Max has been confirmed October 29th, 2024, (make the order in Canada.)<br />
	<br />
	Lately I’ve been checking inventory and noticed that quite a few 2025 models ordered after mine have already been shipped. I’m wondering—are there others here who ordered around the same or similar time with me but are still stuck in “In Production” status?<br />
	<br />
	Also, aside from the official Ford order tracker, is there any other way to get more detailed updates on the order status?<br />
	<br />
	Any tips or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

	Some Update： I just contacted sales , he said vehicle has been built（FORD CHAT said still IN Production different with sales）, he also provided a screenshot showing "NON SHIPPABLE." What exactly is the current status? So confusing.

	I own a 2021 Ford Expedition and have had the freon replaced 3X and finally found a mechanic that diagnosed the problem which is a defective evaporator core. The owner of the shop has another one in his shop with the same issue (they replace these cores on a regular basis) and though no bulletins have been issued, let alone recalls, he claims that Ford Dealers are aware of this issue but do not cover the cost.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	So my question is simple, do any other owners of F150, Expeditions, Navigators have this issue?
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Thank you!
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	UPDATE--I had to have my a/c evaporator core replaced, and it was clearly leaking which is alarming at only 30,000 miles and cost me almost $5000.00. This requires the entire dash to be removed and another freon charge. Based on several Ford dealer mechanics along with a couple of privately owned shops, this is a very common issue. I'll add pictures since I kept the core. The telltale sign is if your vehicle smells musty inside, you have a leak!

	<span style="background-color:#2b2b2b;color:#d2d2d2;font-size:16px;">Purchased a brand new 2023 ford expedition max limited all blacked out on Feb 2023. From the day I took it off the lot it was clunking, bad fumes coming from the vents brakes squeaking. I didn’t even test drive it because there werent any of this type around my area and this was the only one fully blacked out. Couple months later dealer found it was burning too much oil so the long block was changed on the engine at 16,000 miles. The clunking of the transmission and bad frequent fumes continue. I’ve taken it to the 3 different dealers and non can replicate my issues. I’m taking it Monday to a 4th dealer to try one last time. It has now 35,000 miles. This has been my worst car I’ve ever owned and I paid top dollar for it. I can’t believe ford treats its customers this way. They even hardly gave me a loaner when they were doing the engine work which took approximately 3 weeks. My wife bought a new car as well around the time I bought mine and I won’t mention the make so that you don’t think I’m marketing for them but her dealer treats her very well. They take care of any issues she has and she hasn’t had any issues like mine. Just one time it was at the dealer for something with it not being able to go into drive and the dealer gave her a loaner, diagnosed the issue fix it within reasonable time. Ford on the other had has left me with a transmission that clunks all the time and frequent engine fumes entering the cabin while driving on the highway, small roads and anytime the car feels like giving fumes. I don’t f get it how these people are able to treat customers like this. I’m at my ends and looking to sue them. Anyone has any suggestions on fixing this god dam garbage or lawyers to sue to these scammers? Thx</span>

	Any know or have a guess when this will happen?  Thinking about ordering a Timberline if there is still time. I know it's got to be getting close. Thanks.

<p>
	Hi All. Apologize if this has been discussed (I attempted to search the threads and couldn't find anything too relevant) but wondering if there are any incentives or discounts to custom ordering a Ford Max from local dealer? The process appears pretty straightforward ie. build online and bring into dealer, but wondering if there are any concessions for doing so? If anyone has custom ordered a Max within the past 12 months and has any advice or insight into the process I'd love to hear.

	Thank you.

<p>
	Is the 2024 Expedition Timberline a "Max" or standard length?
