I keep having this issue  i go to start my truck and i get these messages

Stop safely 

Pedestrian sounder Fault Service Now

And the check engine light comes on and sets a code U3012

Eventually i get it to start by shutting down, opening the door so everything shuts off and waiting a few mins

Sometimes it takes 30 mins to get going again.

after i go through 3 start and stop cycles the check engine light goes off.

Has anyone else seen this happen?

I keep getting a battery saver message on my Ford Pass.

I get it on the SYNC4 screen when i open the door, and the interior lights do not come on either.

Once i start the truck, the lights and Sync4 come on.

I went to the dealer and they tell me there is nothing wrong with the battery. I have a voltmeter coming today from Amazon, and i am going to check the battery myself.

Just a side not, i had the same problem on my 2020 Hybrid, and they changed my battery 3 times, and then refused to change it a 4th time when i got to 36,000 miles.

They spent 5 hours looking at the truck and have no idea what is wrong.

They have a call into the engineers at ford for help.

Has anyone had this problem, and it was NOT the battery?

My second issue is i have a flapping noise coming from the back of the truck.

It only does it when the heat  is OFF, going over 50,  and the windows are closed.

As soon as you turn the heat on, it stops.

I am guessing its some sort of vent that lets the air pressure out of the truck.

Has anyone else had this issue, and found a resolution?

Today as I was driving around taking service calls I decided to pay closer attention to when the symptom was happening so I turned on the "power flow" app on the infotainment screen and now I think I have another part to add in. It seems to only happen when I'm decelerating in electric mode, AND the vehicle is attempting to use all four wheels to regen energy.
When ever the sound was present, the rear wheels were engaged in the drive/deceleration process. When I was able to slow to a stop without the rear wheels being involved, the symptom was absent leading me to believe that it's a solenoid or some part of the regen motor engaging and dis-engaging as part of the slowing process.

Not sure if anyone here would be able to confirm this but thought I'd throw it out there.

I did notice a similar sound when I used to drive my Dad's 2004 Escape AWD Hybrid but when I mentioned it to the mechanic that used to service that vehicle, they told me it was nothing. That vehicle is still on the road today. (my Nephew is now driving that vehicle)

Different gas each time, different speeds (20km/h, 30km/h, 50 km/h). Nothing consistant other than each time was under 50 km/h

Dealer seems to be as confused as I am.

somebody knows or use kit transgo for automatic transmission?

I'm looking for documentation I can provide so I'm not simply complaining because I "think" it should be covered. Deep searching seems to reveal that it often IS covered but seems to be hit or miss. I haven't been able to find any service bulletins or notes pertaining to the Edge specifically (stating that the EVAP purge valve is part of the system of covered components) and hoping someone has gone through this successfully recently with a similar model/year.

She can't register it in our new location without fixing it. We're trying to follow the process to get a waiver to give her more time to figure out the most cost-effective way to repair it, if we ultimately can't get Ford to approve it but I think we should try.

of course, I took it in and all 3 worked fine. 

sometimes on key fob if I hit door lock, unlock then hatch it'll open. 

 sometimes I get in after giving up and hatch open light on dash is on.  then i put in park, hit button on dash and it'll open, then I close it. that's only time my interior button works.  in that scenario. 

any ideas on what problem is?  it has 168,000 miles.  

engine was replaced under warranty due to coolant issue. transmission repaired at 140,000 miles.   Been looking for something (low miles used) new after 5 years of a crap car.

BUT, his shoulder harness didn't latch causing him to impact the steering wheel, plus the steering wheel airbag didn't deploy.  The lower leg airbag did deploy. 

SOUNDS like a major problem here! 

Any TSB noticed about this?

So if you haven't done the recall yet, get it done ASAP.

What's happening right now is our door won't open all the way.  I'd say 75% and something with the arm inside the door stops you.  Other times it's fine.  Just clunks when closing it.  Also, when we brought the window down, it must have hit that arm piece that's broke.  Small scratch in the glass now.  It's up near the mirror where you don't notice it.  But now we don't roll that drivers window down in fear it'll break the window.

This problem has been there since the day I leased the vehicle. I took the vehicle to the dealership twice but they say there is no DTC and therefore there is no problem.

They ignored the fact that the power distribution screen shows the real wheels are always powered.  When the outside temperature goes above 35 degrees, the power distribution screen shows the rear wheels  without any power after the normal distance driven.

Any idea why temperature has an affect on the power going to the rear wheels? Or is it just a bad sensor/programming error somewhere?

My dad's 2023 escape hybrid kept going into sleep mode "12V battery is in power saving mode". You only notice this issue if you use the Ford Pass App. So all those people that do not use the App will never know their car has an issue. I told dealership that 2023 models were having issues were modules to not turn  off and drain the 12V battery when the car is off. Well, they decided just to change the battery but the problem continued. So I did another service appointment for him the next day and did research and found that bulletin. I pretty much did the research for this dealership haha.  Well they followed it and so far so good! They even told my dad, "we did what your daughter told us to do".
