  1. I wasn't aware GM Truck Month stopped since it started 5 years ago....

  2. Ended up getting Ring cameras with solar panels. They're working great.

  3. Don't forget, our labor cost only accounts for about 10% of the price of a vehicle. Don't fall for the usual old song and dance ritual, it's a con.

  4. The people that generally buy Porches generally aren't worried about "affordability" and for those that are, there's the Boxter.

  5. What's next, somebody using this on a BEV? HRG

  6. The fact they are using the Turbo badging just seems ridiculous on an electric engine. As I said on Twitter, might as well just call it HEMI or DOHC.

  7. My point exactly. It's actually harder to build a PHEV. Ford is not behind in the technology or intellectual property needed to build a BEV, they just waited until it had a chance to be profitable.

  8. You forgot a step. I fixed it: No no no, you got it all wrong..... this is all part of GM's master plan, 1. Build ugly Silverados 2. Force GM buyers into better looking and more expensive Sierras 3. in the meantime, $10K-$15K on the hood should clear up any misconceptions.... 4. Import Opels 5. ??? 6. PROFIT!

  10. All of what you posted shows that building a PHEV is more complicated than building a straight BEV Credits aside, Ford’s experience with hybrids and PHEVs means that the progression to BEVs is much easier as all the body construction and mass production experience comes across. We should not mistake Ford’s lack of a BEV as any indication of lack of capability. They’re timing their run to happen after Tesla does all the heavy lifting of credibility and charging network and battery development Then like a thief in the night, Ford (and GM) will be there to steal Tesla’s patch.

  11. Hyundai and Kia are making strides to try and break into the psuedo-luxury segment that Lincoln is trying to break out of. My wife and I test drove a Hyundai palisade and honestly the quality seemed the same as the aviator that was in our local dealer showroom. Sure the power isn't there and the ride is a little more unrefined but most people buy up so the improvement over their current daily will be noticeable.

So far, Ford and FCA have been completely duped and outmaneuvered...... All designed to distract form recent plant closures and massive increase in Mexican production (and before anyone jumps in to correct me, I'm taking sarcasm to another level...)

  15. I love my 2012 Escape, because it looks like a mini mashed up version of an Explorer and Expediton. I don't understand why Ford can't continue to take the styling cues of the Explorer and Expedition and continue to make a mini mashed up version into the Escape.

  17. Very surprised the used dual quad TBI instead of PFI ! I would like to see the horsepower and torque curves of that engine vs a "built" 460 or a KAASE Boss 460.

  18. Yes and sorry if it sounded like I or others were dismissing you, the 7.0 liter Boss and Rouch 777 Racing program has been mentioned on BON many times in the past, Rousch ended up developing a 460 CID engine based on the 6.2 Enjoy article and youtube from 2012 : HERE
