  1. Is that even possible? They’re a lot like vegans

  3. You (and anyone else with an almost 10 yr old ford hybrid) should read this: https://www.fordfusionforum.com/topic/19361-my-instructions-on-restoring-the-hybrid-ev-function-on-the-ford-fusion-hybrid-approaching-the-89-years-mark/

  4. If you can’t produce quality products under your current contract maybe you don’t deserve a new contract. Just sayin’.........

  5. From Autoline Daily. Range will be about 600 kilometers, or 370 miles using the European testing protocol. Probably about 330 miles using the EPA testing protocol. Go to the 2:26 mark. http://www.autoline.tv/journal/?p=63673

  6. Tesla has limited capital to invest. They don’t have an F-Series profit-machine to prop all the other lines. 3 and Y take priority because they’re the most important for the mission. If Tesla has wanted to be a bit player, the could have stayed S and X only and been profitable and only worry about 1 platform. However, the goal was to push EV adoption, and you can’t do that selling $100k vehicles. Obviously the next gen tech in the Roadster, S, and X will be out late next year, as Tesla starts selling $200-250k Roadsters and $150k Plaid S and Plaid X models, again, according to Musk. So, it will be hard to classify them as ancient, as they’ll be carrying the most advanced tech and performance available.

  8. Congrats... Expeditions are awesome and you won't regret it. We put 160K trouble free miles on our '98 1st Gen and traded it for our current 2nd Gen. Great vacation vehicle for long road trips!! I got the 3K Expy only personel cash offer also and thought hard about getting a 3rd Gen instead of ordering an Aviator, but couldn't locate a '19 equipped like we wanted.

  10. Bill Ford makes a point of driving competing products on his drive to the office. I do know he drove some sort of Tesla for awhile.

  11. Musk seems to be easily distracted. The Model S is older than the Fusion, but Musk has essentially said they’re going to Crown Vic it. The S and X should be getting replaced, but they’re not going to do that. Now he’s distracted by the Y, then it’ll be the truck, then the roadster and at that point the S, X and 3 will be ancient.

  12. Tesla has a lot of irons in the fire. Building vehicles is one of them.

  13. No, the large lead in performance and efficiency accounts for that. Peruse the Taycan range calculator. We’re talking for the regular $153k Turbo, which is essentially Model 3 sized on the inside, with a 95kWh battery, and the same 0-60 of 3.2sec will have an EPA range of about 220mi. Porsche & VAG aren’t short of engineers or R&D investment and can barely outrun a $56k Model 3, while getting shorter range and weighing half a ton more. I’m pulling for Ford, but also recognize (I own one), Tesla has a real demonstrable lead in tech. https://www.porsche.com/uk/models/taycan/taycan-models/taycan-turbo/

  15. So would people rather wait 2 years for failures to pile up, then get pissed when Ford has to recall millions of them? "Oh, Ford knew this problem existed 2 years ago and did nothing about it." It's a new model. There will be issues. Ford is on it immediately. Get over it. If you're not comfortable with that, then wait 2 years after production before buying a new model.

  16. Thanks @twintornados, I didn't see your reply until just a little bit ago. Sorry for the delay. I appreciate your input, though. Well, an update: I was gifted an 18" (23" total length) Cherry Bomb Glasspack from a member of my church this past Wednesday. I got it installed with a 12" turndown coming out of it. In addition to this forum, I had posted this question to the guys at f150forum.com and they were able to help me out. Pictures of the final outcome, and the progress leading up to it are in thread. https://www.f150forum.com/f4/exhaust-setup-muffler-options-2005-f-150-4-6l-455398/ Thanks!

  19. They did the exact opposite to Edsel 1 in the movie Harley and the Davidson’s by portraying him as a tough as nails business prick. Anyone who has even a passing knowledge of Edsel Ford knows that is a complete betrayal of the man he really was.

  21. I used to like the company, Elon's personality issues. The constant overpromising while underdelivering and not knowing whether the company will still exist in 5 years have made me rethink owning a tesla in the near future.
