  1. Ford insider here. They are 100% off on the F150 Sync screen, its nothing like explorer. It's actually a huge horizontal screen thats impeded in the IP. There will be a digital cluster. Ive actually seen all versions of the production version F150 and the interior is best in class luxury and tech.

  3. Hopefully they use a strong sturdy material like Fiberglass, secure it with dozens of hex bolts, and integrate a permanant third brake light for safety. It should also require 3-4 people to lift and remove so you know it's tough.

  4. A few years ago, I had a Ram QuadCab as a company vehicle, and built a simple, plywood platform to create a flat floor for the Lab,,, Pretty simple to take in & out when I needed to use the seats. HRG

  7. Can I just say comments on these stories are beyond ridiculous. "I can get a German SUV for that price." With the same options? "The Kia Pallisade is cheaper and kills the Lincoln" Not in the same segment, not even close in build quality or materials "The Lincoln isn't as fast as the BMW and has less prestige so it should be 10 grand cheaper" SMH I am totally convinced that certain manufactures pay people to comment. I know Tesla does. That doesn't account for roughly half that are just trolls or are just idiots.

  8. Ford saw how well the Hellcat and Demon did, so now they're jumping on the bandwagon with the Ford Bronco Non-Believer edition.

  11. White99GT is 100% correct. It blows my mind that Ford enthusiasts even a moderator on this forum can't comprehend and have never read about or seen any evidence that Koenigsegg designed, and built their own engines ever! Christian Von Koenigsegg is a engine design patent thief! All of the engines that have ever been in any Koenigsegg have the same exact architecture as the original Ford Mod Motors he began using from the beginning! The article he wrote on his website, and the first thing you see attempting to convince anyone that goes there that his cars have all Koenigsegg design, and built engines. Even though he claims that because they changed enough of "our" original engine's design (referring to the Ford Mod Motor) therefore they feel comfortable enough to call them all Koenigsegg designed, and built engines proves that he is a engine design patent thief! He refers to patented catalytic converters, a dry-sump oiling systems, a crankcase evacuation systems, as some of the things that he changed on the original engine design which have nothing to do with engine design! It's insane how many Automotive enthusiast, and Automotive journalists can't see what is a clear act of engine design patent theft it's crazy! Many other low production boutique auto manufacturers that have made supercars have properly made agreements with other auto manufacturing companies to use their high performance engines like the AMG V12 (Pagani Zonda, and Huayra), BMW M1 V12 (McLaren F1), the Brabham BT62 produced in the last year resulted in an agreement with Ford Motor company to use their 5.4L Mod Motors. Ford has allowed them to call it a bespoke Brabham engine. Instead of what Christian Von Koenigsegg did by copying Ford's all aluminum 32 valve DOHC Ford Mod Motor which has been used in racing applications to produce up to 3500+ HP by ACCUFAB Racing John Mihovetz (4.6L 281ci Teksid '93-'98 block, Ford GT heads CNC'd, and up to 3000 HP using the stock steel Kellogg Ford crankshaft with twin turbos on methanol) just like many other American engine builders. Which has allowed him to run 5.88 @ 255+ MPH in his 1998 Ford Mustang Pro-Mod for 5 years now, and 2300-3500 HP for 20 years without ever having a single engine failure for him or any of his customers at ACCUFAB Racing. L&M Racing Engines is just another example who have the same capabilities as ACCUFAB Racing when building Ford Mod Motors for racing/street applications using the original OEM Ford Mod Motor production blocks, cranks, and cylinder heads (4.6L, 5.0L, 5.2L, 5.4L, and 5.8L DOHC engines). Why Christian Von Koenigsegg has never been called out on it by the automotive media is mind-boggling! Designing a pneumatic operated system to open the valves or making intakes, valve covers, and front engine timing chain covers out of carbon fiber have nothing to do with changing into design either LoL! And comments made on this forum defending Koenigsegg are absolutely ridiculous, and idiotic! Every Ford enthusiast that visits to blueovalforms.com should be furious!

L x W x H // WB Edge 5 seat: 188.8" x 75.9" x 68.3" // 112.2" <I expect Bronco 5 door to slide in here between the two Edge> Edge 7 seat: 192" x 75.9" x 69.7" // 112.2" Everest: 192.6" x 73.6" x 72.3" // 112.2" Explorer: 198.8" x 78.9" x 69.9" // 119.1" Expedition: 210" x 79.9" x 76.6" // 122.5" Expedition Max: 221.9" x 79.9" x 76.4" // 131.6" For reference purpose, competing Toyota models (because Toyota is the only global competitor with similar spread of lineup as Ford): Fortuner: 188.8" x 73" x 72.2" // 108.1" - about the size of the 5 seat Edge 4Runner: 190.2" x 75.8" x 71.5" // 109.8" - basically the size of what I think Bronco will be Highlander: 192.5" x 75.8" x 68.1" // 109.8" - identical in size to Edge 7 seat Prado: 189.7" x 74.2" x 74.4" // 109.8" without external spare; the length is 196.7" with external spare - so the body is shorter than Everest but almost as long as Explorer with the external spare Landcruiser 200: 194.9" x 78" x 74" // 112.2" - much smaller than Explorer, almost the same size as Everest but mainly because it is just old so now it appears small compare to other newer SUVs Sequoia: 205.1" x 79.9" x 77" // 122" - 5" shorter than Expedition

  19. This pic has been discussed quite a bit on several Ford tech pages. This is the 2nd truck the customer has broken like this. Previous was an F350. You can't see it from this pic, but the tongue on the trailer is VERY long to clear the slide in camper. Pure abuse, not defect.

  20. Mach E is in LA. I would guess Bronco Sport is in Chicago or NY. Bronco is definitely Detroit. It is Ford's centerpiece and is built in Detroit metro.

  21. I haven't heard anything at all about when it's going to be shown, but I suspect it's either going to be it's own event sometime in spring 2020 or the centerpiece of the 2020 NAIAS.

  22. To me, this whole thing is playing out like this... 1. Gotta go on strike to prove that the UAW is relevant even though there is corruption. 2. GM breaks tradition and goes to the media with the 2% raises and bonuses and also leaks that they wanted hourly to pay 15% health care. But, in reality, the UAW and GM both want that out there so everyone will believe the UAW "fought" for 3% raises and untouched health care. 3. UAW and GM both want the strike to be long enough so when the tentative agreement is announced, everyone will be chomping at the bit to get back to work. Another reason the strike will not be over until there is a "yes" vote. 4. There will be some path for temporary workers to become permanent though it will require many hoops and time along with very vague language. This is evident by the picket signs that have been seen lately that say "Path to permanent employment." UAW isn't gonna print that on their signs unless it's already a done deal. Not normally a conspiracy theory kinda guy but this was probably a done deal awhile ago. Both the company and the union knew that because of the corruption, members were probably going to vote no on the first offer no matter what. Set the bar low with the "leaked" original offer, show them how much they need the UAW by striking, get them behind on some car and house payments, show them something that looks better than what they read in the paper, and presto, a yes vote. And by the way, Ford and Chrysler, you just better vote yes too unless you want to go out for a month and end up with the same offer.
