  1. Ford does the same thing in case you haven’t noticed.

  3. Man this throws things for a loop for me-been wanting a Bronco, but after hearing some intel one of the options I wanted isn't most likely going to be in my price range...a Mach E would be perfect for me 85% of the time, since I drive 15 miles to work and only take a long trip a few times a year where I could steal my wifes car for...decisions decisions...

  4. 2-3 years behind Ford? Sounds about right. Why does GM start so many things but then either abandon them or never finish them? It's like they have no corporate strategy just a bunch of independent vehicle developers. First electric vehicle - abandoned. First mild hybrids. Never did full hybrids. Volt - 50 mile plug in hybrid. Never expanded tech to other vehicles except for ELR which was a disaster. Bolt - 200 mile BEV. Never expanded tech to other vehicles (until now). Wouldn't surprise me if the new stuff is totally different and Bolt was just abandoned anyway. Bankruptcy never changed that mindset for some reason.

  6. No doubt. I could see taking short road trips but I wouldn’t be the type to take a route that includes charging stops on a 250+ mile road trip. I will just drive the shortest/fastest route in our 18mpg F150 for 600 miles before stopping for fuel.

  7. Heads up regarding the E...unveiling next month as we know...but don't expect to see the vehicle for at least a year,,,,, deposits will be being taken of course,,,but 12 months ???? thats too long IMO.

  8. He says he doesn’t like Ford’s in the video and never really has, after that I wonder if he’ll be allowed to drive another press vehicle.

  9. I bet you could find a complete rear end out of a junk yard for those cheap and easily.

  10. Frontier number 2? That ought to add a sale.

  11. This must be an old render, many of the details are wrong, especially the headlights and door handles (there are none). But that's roughly it anyway. It definitely looks better than this. The taillights are also better looking than these, but very similar with the horizontal element and c-shape segments. There are amber indicators in the rear lights btw.

  12. That guy is a complete waste of time. “listen to the transmission shift....” Yet the shifts are smooth and non intrusive. Passenger guy says “Tacoma is more reliable”... Huh?

  13. I saw that and thought what an ass! Such a typical response when someone does not like what you had to say. I love Savage Geese and think he has some of the best reviews out there. He just did one on a Mustang Bullett and it was fantastic-he praised it where it did well and was point on in the vehicle's shortcomings. The Ranger is an "ok" product in today's market and is obviously dated and should be judged accordingly. I don't fault Ford for bringing it to the market and actually like some of the things about the truck but expect the next effort to be greatly improved-until then, it is what it is.

  16. Seems like a great way to get his video shared and make more money on the Ads, how he makes $$$. A glowing review would get 1/100 of the views.

  17. Don’t be a jerk....who expects a brand new vehicle would have water pouring through the roof? Great quality control. How would anyone know to anticipate this in a Lincoln? Would you have confidence in the dealer’s fix? Especially when I read about a similar incident elsewhere!

  18. The teaser's line profile is accurate. The awful chops the magazines have been selling for months... are not. This thing will change long-established perceptions of Ford's place in the industry. I'm glad they had the stones to do it right.

  20. I took delivery on Friday 10/10 and have put close to 500 miles on my car. AWD Diamond Blue Reserve 1 (201A) Trailer hitch Full 2nd row seat Overall Impressions Coming from an Audi Q7, I wanted something that was a bit more plush. The new Audis seem a lot more stripped down inside and a bit too harsh looking outside. The lines and feel of the Aviator are much more refined than the German design. Seats: I have the standard seats and I feel these are more comfortable than what i'm used to. My wife loves them and was the main criteria for the car since she mostly sits in the passenger seat. The 30-way seats seemed too tight on my sides - i'm a trim guy, but felt that the higher-end seats were too constricting (even at the most "open" setting") Standard seats are comfortable and feel great. I will say that they have very agressive lumbars - it took a few days to get used to, but now I don't notice it. Drive: The car drives well, very smooth and super quiet. No rattles I can make out while going over rough roads. I'm not pushing it hard (yet) but the few times i've gunned it - to pass someone, i was shocked at how much power it has. Coming from the 2.7 Audi Q7 this thing is a beast. Adaptive Cruise Control: Having driven some newer Audi's as loaners, the Adaptive cruise control is really good. One indication is how it handles cars shifting infront of you. The car does really well adapting to all sorts of conditions. I felt really comfortable using it for 60-70 miles on Long Island, NY trafffic. Sound System: (14-speaker system) Sounds great. Great bass and really full sound. Sync3 system: Works well, Nav is good, CarPlay is preferred, Voice control works well. Touch screen is OK, doesn't react like an iPhone, but does the job Auto Start/Stop: Very fast restarts. Not a fan, but the car is so quiet, sometimes you can't tell it's even turned off. Parking assist: Haven't tried it yet Let me know some other questions and I'll add to this post.

  21. Thats why that car will never have a/c again as long as I own it. I'm not pulling the dash and I'm not paying a shop $1200 to do it.

  22. Something the Mach-E has particular fun with is the proportions afforded by the long wheelbase with that lengthened hood. They were able to get those RWD proportions instead of that typical EV wedge shape.

  24. Lane Departure also works full-time (on Lincolns anyway), but it only reacts when it sees that your'e crossing the line, often way too late. Lane Centering is more imperceptible and is always running and steering ever so subtly. Ford's Lane Departure system is one of the worst I've experienced however, but Lane Centering is a big improvement. It's definitely far from Tesla, but it also works full-time while Tesla only works when you're in Auto-Pilot. The Lane Centering camera is pretty interesting, it's a substantial piece of hardware with its own heating element on the windshield.

  25. How about negotiating a deal to trade the EV for a nice ICE vehicle that doesn’t force you to waste half a day charging every time you want to get 150 miles down the road?

  26. I'll look into this, but I'm pretty sure the dealer is mistaken, dealers have a habit of spreading bad info. The Nautilus is all-new for Model Year 2023, there are no further investments coming for this generation. I just bought a 2019 Nautilus Black Label and the only thing I regret about the car is that it didn't get the new Lincoln interior, but unfortunately interiors no longer receive mid-cycle overhauls at Ford or Lincoln. I am a big fan of the instrument panel upgrades and the new steering wheel and drivetrain improvements, not to mention Lane Centering. I'm really happy at this size so I'll be ready for either the new Nautilus or the Lincoln Midsize BEV. I was planning to get the Aviator, but the perfect Black Label Nautilus presented itself so I claimed it before it hit the ground (they sell out quickly here).

  27. Tesla does a good job selecting sites for Superchargers that are near restaurants, shopping centers, resorts, hotels, theaters, casinos, etc. For example, the Supercharger location in Fort Worth is right next to Angelo's BBQ.?

  28. Way to beat your chest. “Obnoxiously sluggish”...interesting. So you are the guy in the electric car that acts like it’s the Indy 500. Your vision of the future with BEVs may happen but I highly doubt in the time frame you think it will. Add another 20 years. And while you’re at it ban straws too
