Explorers coming off the line with missing parts? Thats just Hackett decontenting parts you won’t miss....7 points

Yeah I think I’d prefer in the middle to be honest. I drive automatics so I don’t need a tach anyways.2 points

Bronco is going to be a different mix of features and priorities to the Wrangler, it is after all a Bronco, not a Wrangler copy.2 points

All these renders are nailing individual elements, but completely losing scale and interaction. I don't envision too much protesting around here come May... or sooner.2 points

Subaru Forester Ultimate Customised Kit Special Not directly from Subaru. I guess they will get some press out of it.1 point

So if I hit a pothole and it pops the tire, bends the wheel and damages the front suspension you think Ford is going to cover that under warranty? Seriously?1 point

https://jalopnik.com/hummer-is-coming-back-as-an-electric-off-road-pickup-by-1840935587 jalopnik says it won’t be its own brand but it will be a gmc truck called hummer. They also say it will be shown during the Super Bowl with lebron as the spokesman.1 point

Well, it's news to me that wear items (presumably wipers, etc) are covered. And also this is the first I've ever heard of someone doing damage to their vehicle (not their own fault, but still damage) and having it covered under a warranty.1 point
-
If it's defective, yes, but if you hit a large pothole going 40 mph and break something that's not a defective part that's a collision.1 point
-
If you hit a pothole so hard that it breaks something, that is not the manufacturer's responsibility. If you got a dealer to cover it, great, but that's not part of the warranty.1 point
-
Because the vehicle should be able to handle potholes. Dont show the vehicles off road if you can't drive on what has become normal city streets full of potholes. Dont carefully it is the city or highway, it should be able to absorb and handle that type of situation. A pothole is not owner abuse, its everyday normal use unfortunately.1 point

Why would the vehicle warranty pay for damage caused by a pothole or anything else you hit? That’s insurance.1 point

MAP is supposed to be the only source globally for Bronco, and word is its no longer a global program.1 point

Yep, I understand your point, and I lobbied very hard. I showed her the Aviator and how IMO it was significantly better, but she refused to consider it. I’m not sure if she associates it as being an old persons car (we aren’t exactly young) or what, but it was quite frustrating. The QX80 was a very meh vehicle, and I wasn’t sad to see if go. With that said I’m not appreciating these issues, that I feel are fairly significant. The Lincoln’s are definitely a step up from Infinity I think.1 point

Thank goodness I'm not the only one who wants "utility" in a CUV/SUV. Last weekend, I needed to bring home a 29" tall x 30" x 34" box from Costco, these "sloping" roof lines really limit what can be loaded-in thru the hatch. HRG1 point

Baby Bronco should have more ground clearance, bigger tires, more sophisticated AWD with some off road capabilities - just like Cherokee but with an edgier body more like Renegade. It's the styling and the look that's going to hook people. If it's something they can't get elsewhere then they will pay a small premium for it. More importantly it won't have much direct competition.1 point

Check your owner.ford.com account. My 2013 has an outstanding Field Service Action to replace the APIM if it fails.1 point

Found the problem-it looks like they are using the Wrangler as a starting point for their renders or are screwing up the wheel base according to the Bronco R. If they moved the Wheels in a bit using the Bronco R, it would be more accurate.1 point
-
what makes me mad is that the baby bronco is what the real escape should have been. It’s basically a continuation of the 2nd gen escape, yet now they want to slap the bronco name on it and charge me a premium. I wonder what kind of premium ford thinks it can charge. As I mentioned in the other thread, I wouldn’t pay anywhere near the MSRP of 29k for the escape se I drove (can’t comment on sel or titanium, maybe they are worth the extra money). If ford thinks it can charge that for a basic escape, I’d hate to see what they think they can get for the baby bronco. on a side note, I was hopeful the real bronco would start in the low 30’s for an XL or whatever they call the trims, but I don’t think that gonna happen based off of the escape pricing.1 point
-
Or apparently Ford So I wonder if Ford will be dragged kicking and screaming back to pricing reality with Escape and baby Bronco for that matter..1 point
-
Even when both of my cars were manuals, I went more by sound and feel than I did the tach, but there's something I like about actually being able to see what’s going on with the engine rather than just hearing it.1 point
-
I guess I'm not understanding what you are saying. In your scenario wouldn't that be the end user's responsibility anyway? Holy cow. I know the quality was bad but not this bad. Couldn't pay me to own one...1 point

Because Ford is gearing up for a run at the 2019 Baja 1000, which will mark the 50th anniversary of the Bronco taking on the 1969 race and winning it outright with driver Rod Hall at the wheel. Hence the "2069" number on the side of the Bronco R, which is a nod to the truck's race class (20) and the year (1969) of Hall's win.1 point

I always buy from and have my vehicles serviced at Five Star in Lewisville. They always wash it for me when they are done, even if just getting an oil change, and I have never had an issue getting a loaner when in for service. They have no problem getting me right over to Enterprise and paying for a rental if they don't have any loaners available.1 point

Nope, more like Everest ~112" for four door. It gives it a noticeably different look to Wrangler1 point

lol ok there bud. There's stuff going on at other locals that's been widely publicized.1 point

Bronco is going to have a much shorter wheelbase than the Wrangler, that means the rear door is going to go over the rear wheel dogleg. If that feature is not right, then the rest of the CGI gets messed up.1 point

This rendering looks kind of boring to me. Sort of reminds me of a Toyota F J. I hope it has more dramatic styling than this does.1 point

Ford has the solution in the 2.5 engine that is the base motor in the current Fusion and LG Escape. It’s still a great engine even though it has not been updated since it was introduced in the 2010 Fusion and Escape. It seems crazy that Ford doesn’t upgrade it as it should be capable of 200 hp and significantly improved mileage. It would be a great base motor for the Escape, Baby Bronco, and NG Fusion (whatever that turns out to be).1 point

Since the GMC Wrangler/Bronco fighter didn't make it off the drawing board, they might as well bring back Hummer...1 point

An occasional troublesome vehicle out of millions is plausible, but you would have had more credibility here if you didn't make it into a Toyota commercial. America was not built on the backs of foreign trucks. I think there's millions of Ford trucks out there working every day with several hundred thousand miles on each of them. Ford has nothing to prove to a Toyota fanboy.1 point
