  1. Please don't bring the stupid here - if folks want to read that crap, they can go find it at the source.

  2. Also looks like frameless door glass, ala mustang.

  3. Isn't the baby bronco to be built on the Escape platform? There's no way in hell you'll see a solid front axle on that rig. Besides, aren't you looking for a regular cab/bucket seats w/console SD? HRG

  4. Good lawd that dash looks straight out of a 1979 full sized car.

  5. lol oh you guys. It's nothing under embargo but I want to be really careful just in case. I don't need a trip to HR right now.

  6. A lot of people today have no imagination, they cannot visualise in the abstract and that’s why they don’t understand mules or even how clever camo can be on new vehicles.

  7. I don't need that stupidity in my life...I shared the BroncoG6 article to facebook and someone I know said it looks like Flex on a Ranger platform My wife said it looked like a cross between a Jeep and Mercedes LOL

  8. I don't care if it is considered a sports car, muscle car or pony car. The 2018+ models drive great, handle great, perform great and also make very civilized daily drivers. To my eye, they are also the best looking Mustangs ever produced.

  9. For entertainment go read the comments on Road and Track or Car and Driver Facebook posts. So it's a lifted Flex? If it doesn't look like the Ranger mule I'm not interested. etc. etc

  10. Another neat thing-if you zoom into the Camo, the dots actually spell out Bronco!

  12. I see Infinity QX60. I’m not digging the exterior at all, but the interior is fine. I think comparing it to the Aviator is kind of insulting to the Aviator.

  13. That was my first thought too, but hard to be too judgmental with the images. If there is truth about stock 35s I’m still having faith.

  16. I did... I predicted the B-segment CUV will be a 500k unit segment in the US when Ford made the original decision to not sell the EcoSport in the US and GM went ahead with Encore. I said that was a huge mistake and Ford is going to regret not competing in this segment. And I was roundly ridiculed on these forums for making such an outlandish prediction ? I wasn't arguing for importing EcoSport as is... I was arguing that Ford wasn't prepared to compete. And it is still not ready. Talk about a badly missed product decision...

  18. We are all-electric and we don't have a generator or batteries...very few people around here do. In the 5+ years here at our new house, we've probably been without power a total of an hour or less. Electricity is very reliable here in our area. Induction cooktops are awesome! And I wouldn't trade my geothermal heat for gas heat at all (especially when it comes time to pay the bill).

  19. I've had many a discussion on the street (yes, that street) about Tesla. You really need to differentiate the types of investors to get a clear picture. Professional investors/investment banks, the majority are betting on the future. Those that didn't at first keep getting proven wrong when they predict implosion. Then you have those professionals that short (roughly 20%), who believe that the circus is eventually going to implode. These investors believe that eventually ebita and other financial issues are eventually going to catch up to Tesla. They can only cook the books for so long before, all of these practices start to get exposed. I applaud Tesla's finance team for the creative accounting thus far. Now for the average Joe investors, this is where it gets interesting. You have Tesla/Musk zealots who believe this is the wave of the future and are dumping everything they can into this stock. Let's face it, anything Musk does good/bad is in the news. Musk is a snake oil salesman of the 21st century and he's good at it. Also, the vehicles have the popularity/status symbol to a certain demographic and have a large social media following. In other words, it's a popular stock that people buy without knowing much about stocks. What I find interesting, is that there really isn't a market for electric vehicles right now (in comparison to ICE vehicles). Tesla is the electric vehicle market. That's not sustainable, especially since they aren't making a profit. When will a sustainable electric vehicle market exist? That's the million dollar question. Will this happen before Tesla implodes financially? Can't answer that either.

  21. I love the retro Mustangs.....heck, that's why I have an '05. I'd love for Ford to give us another retro-modern version, more '69/'70 this time..............but I don't see it ever happening again. I do think the '18+ hits the sweet spot in terms of muscle (those hips are more pronounced than any S197!).....and sports car. I expect S650 to be a refining of those looks when it arrives for the '23MY. This render is one of my favourite official ones from Ford. This was one that didn't make it from the initial S550 sketches, but I'd love to see this as S650. It brings back the "hockey stick"/faux side vent, and adds even more flare to those hips.

  24. Let them freak but I bet none of them will miss an update from here in. They know there’s a two door and a four door, Ford is deliberately holding it back Enjoy the agony of drip feed.....

  25. I still think this is it-or at least I hope it is. this has all the components- removal doors, removable top, the rollover bar is built in. what else is missing? Nothing IMO. and love that windshield-almost looks to me like it has "compound curves"-not sure if that is correct term but slight curve side to side as well as slight curve top to bottom?

  26. The doors should be removable, even without external hinges I don't even think the Bronco had external hinges at all in any of its designs...so it wouldn't fit its DNA.

  27. I bought a '19 Ecosport SES 2.0L at the beginning of this year, A plan and cash on the hood and decent rate it was a no brainer. It was bought to replace our MKC lease. It will be taking my daughter to college so lets hope its trouble free! And to be honest. I don't have a ton of seat time in it yet. But the lil 2.0 isnt all that bad.

  31. I'm quite sure they're under there. The fender appears to have foam hiding its contour and there's a 'snake' of foam hiding the whole seam/hinges area hanging from the mirror.

  32. You can see the family resemblance between this and the baby bronco. They both have that little kick up behind the back door, lights are similar, and wheels seem to be very similar as well. I wish the baby broncos windshield was more upright like the bronco broncos.

  36. Who promised? Lincoln did not. They (Lincoln) sent me a package in September, and it said winter of 2020, not 2019. The dealer did not lose 5 special orders, he gained 5 retail assets that he will sell sure as the sun comes up. Finally, if you cancelled your order why are you still on the Aviator forums, some of us still believe in Ford and their employees, your sour grapes add zip to the conversation.

  37. Yeah, it's doing so poorly that sales increased 19% last year and outsold Kicks and C-HR. It's definitely not the ideal product, but let's not act like it's doing extremely poorly.

  40. Current Edge: Wheelbase 112.2 Length 188.8 Width, excluding mirrors 75.9 Width Vehicle height 68.3 Mustang Mach E Wheelbase 117.0 in Length 186.0 in Width 74.0 in (Not sure what the measurement is with or without mirrors) Height 63.0 in In the grand scheme of things, a CUV replacement based on the MME platform isn't very hard to do. I'm still of the option that EVs need about another 10 years or so (mostly in improving recharging times and range) before they replace ICE powered cars wide spread. Until a BEV can go 300-350 miles in any weather conditions and be able to recharge to 80-90% battery in 10-15 minutes, those concerns are going to bother alot of people. I know in my personal case, we can get a MME and use it for 90% of the driving we do, but if we went on a long ride, I'd rather have a gas or hybrid car instead for that.

  42. Nobody said you were negligent. What if the truck in front of you loses its load and you drive over it? Not your fault but should Ford cover that? What about a sinkhole that swallows your car? Should Ford cover that since it wasn’t your fault? Maybe it was a defective part and thats why they replaced it.

  43. Questions Questions..... This may or may not help with one repeated question, "yes" your age will reduce your payable monthly LIB percentage. For a simplified explanation, if a member is calculated to receive $100.00 a month for their LIB and this member is 59 years old. The $100.00 LIB check will be issued for $80.80. The member will only receive a check for $100.00 of the calculated LIB if the member is 62 or older years of age. A member with "85" points and wishes to start receiving LIB payments, the member is 60 years old with 25 years of service which satisfies the 85 point requirement. Being age 60, the member will be reduced to $86.70 for every $100.00 of LIB. If calculated at "my" LIB, 25 years of service will come to $1329.50. With the age reduction this will produce the payable amount to $1152.67. Then there is the bridge benefit of "approximately" $1200.00 a month that will be paid till the member reaches 62 years of age. This will be a total payable monthly benefit of $2352.67. Remember at age 62 the bridge benefit automatically drops. Then if a member applies for S.S. benefits at age 62 or so, the S.S. benefit is reduced because of the age of the member. In most cases the S.S. reduced benefit will not equal the bridge benefit that was dropped. Of course, the $2352.67 is before taxes. For those that were under the impression that any of the rumor`s were true, just do the math and things will look real different from the "I heard" - "they said" accountants. Then one thing for sure the only way a member will receive full calculated LIB is to have "30" years of credited service and be celebrating their "62" birthday. One last thing, "yes" there is a long list of deductions Ford will calculate and... reduce any retirement incentive benefit prior to depositing. With no other deductions then taxes, a $60.000.00 retirement incentive check will look closer to $41,617.52. Hope this helps my friends and members at CAP.
