  2. Yes Thanks. I ordered sedona orange back in March, but for whatever reason Ford ended that paint color. So I ordered it in velocity blue, and then the factory shut down. Luckily, the dealer had this metallic white tricoat in stock. I say luckily because I ordered the blue one without the premium package. Mistake, because I love the premium package and well worth it now that I have it. I still prefer the blue, but the tricoat white has grown on me. The metal flake pops in the sun.

  3. JUNK!! Trade it in for a <insert favorite luxury marque here> and curse Lincoln daily.

  4. So I'm new here and this is my first post. I'm a Bronco fan who can't wait for the new one and July 13th. Also love most Ford trucks in general. Anyway, here's a potential small update on the Ranger Raptor and Bronco: https://www.carexpert.com.au/news/ford-ranger-raptor-and-bronco-to-get-turbo-v6-raptor-heading-to-usa/ Happy Fourth to everyone, stay healthy and safe, and God bless!

  5. That's to be expected, right? I mean, the PowerStroke does have 120% more torque than the gasser. Considering the 7.3 tows 60% of the weight while having only 45% of the torque says a lot about the gasser.

  6. FWIW... rehearsals for the 13th are underway. You're going to get to know *most* of the good stuff. There will be a couple things mentioned a bit vaguely. Pay attention to those. This is really exciting for all involved, but they're not spilling all the goods.

  7. I converted my Mach E reservation to an order. Premium trim, Extended range battery, AWD and Infinite Blue Metallic with space gray interior. Now it remains to be seen how Ford will set production order. First Edition will be among the first produced and Premium trim prioritized over Select trim. How will they schedule higher reservation numbers who order early vs a lower reservation number who waits to convert his reservation to an order? Also where in the schedule will they make the European model? I have a 331xx (higher) reservation number so do not know if that means late 2020 or early 2021. The Cuautitlan plant should be able to produce the 50,000 cars in much less than 12 months if batteries and parts can be supplied in a timely manner. The plant is rumored to start full production in August. I'm starting to get excited!

  8. Or you could just do one V6 with two tunes.... No more for now.

  9. There is no question both Ranger and Bronco get the 2.7L.

  10. My salesman once told me that the Edge has never leased as well as Escape or Explorer.

  11. Exactly. You’d have to divert resources from other existing products and/or the new stuff still in development as well as factory resources. People don’t seem to understand that it’s a zero sum game. You can’t bring out a lot of new stuff without dropping some existing stuff.

  12. It’s not just the cost to redesign them (though that is part of it) but also where do you build them? Would flat rock have enough capacity to be the lone Mustang/Fusion/MkZ/Continental plant? Without adding capacity Ford could not continue Fusion/Focus and bring us Ranger/Bronco/Bronco Sport/Maverick. Adding capacity is risky.

  13. Opportunity cost. The amount of money and effort needed to redesign Ford and Lincoln sedans in the U.S. market to make them competitive with sedans from German, Japanese, and Korean companies, and to repair Ford's damaged reputation in the sedan marketplace, would never pay off. They're past the point of no return. Ford is wisely putting its capital investments toward other product and service categories.

  14. The Lincoln Division has been poorly managed for decades. The last time it was distinctive was back in the '70's and '80's with the iconic waterfall grille on the Mark IV/V series and the Town Cars. They were unmistakable on the road and you could spot them a half mile away. Then they started changing the design language but never did anything that had the same impact and they kept changing the look every few years. The one thing that's been consistent is the inconsistent commitment to the Lincoln brand. In the past 10 years the company has been pouring billions of dollars into the brand to try to save/revitalize the brand and it's image. At least now all the Lincoln models have a unified appearance. The new models may be very good regarding quality, etc. The big problem is that there's nothing distinctive about a Lincoln and you can easily pass by one and not even realize it.

  15. My 2017 Z only has 35K on it and I love it, but I'm tempted to step up to a Connie. There are probably deals on them.

  17. On that note, I'm seeing more and more in the parking lot at work. If employees are buying them that should speak volumes.

  19. I think the piano black grill on my Escape looks fine.....blends in well with the other black accents including the black inserts on the wheels. Both grills have the same general shape

  20. I think there's an emergency refresh coming for Explorer in model year 2021. That should help too.

  23. Yes sir, I test drove a 2020 Escape SE FWD at Autonation Ford several months ago while taking care of maintenance for my Ranger. Engine NVH was every bit as horrible as professional reviewers claimed. My salesman to his credit recommended the SE Sport Hybrid version, which I also test drove and was much much better. Hopefully Ford can get supply chain issues for hybrid HV batteries sorted out as FordBuyer mentioned so that it can produce more Escape Hybrid models for the U.S.

  24. It appears in some circles that the Edge and Escape's future is predicated on the Bronco Sport.

  25. What lie is that? That 2020 Escape is an unqualified success?

  26. Good suggestion FordBuyer sir. The 1.5L 3-cylinder Ecoboost engine delivers adequate power and fuel economy. But its NVH characteristics are awful. Bad enough to be a deal breaker, even for Ford loyalists.

  27. I guess it depends on the size of the fleet or company. My brother’s fleet has the following types of vehicles: E150 F150 F250 Ranger (old model) Transit Connect He’s keeps every vehicle for over 200,000 miles.
