  1. Well, it'll give them one less thing to bitch about, anyway. Seems like nobody's happy unless they're bitching about something these days.

  2. BTW the manual Sasquatch package is currently testing.

  3. Yes the US/Canada bailed them out and they build less than 50% of their vehicles here. I've hit the point that I would drive a Toyota or Honda before I would ever drive a GM or Stellantis product.

  7. Ford Motor Co.'s Ranger mid-size pick-up truck is the most "made in America" vehicle in 2020 with 85% total domestic content, according to an index produced by American University's Kogod School of Business. https://www.detroitnews.com/story/business/autos/ford/2020/09/17/ford-ranger-tops-made-america-index/3479781001/

  13. Political reasons, mostly. To go a bit deeper, they're *finally* looking at their external comms efforts as a holistic calendar... plotting things where they feel impact will be maximized. They have a LOT coming in the next 2 years, and getting this information on the radar (enthusiasts notwithstanding) now is a good thing.

  14. Probably to placate Wall Street. GM, and others, have been very aggressive lately in promoting their EV plans. Ford, probably, doesn't want to get left behind.

  16. Ive noticed they’re kinda getting loose with the job 1 designation. Remember, MP1 units can be shipped to dealers for sale when OKTB is given. It happened with Ranger. It seems that the definition of Job 1 has kinda changed a little bit when it comes to all new models and I think that the whole building at full speed thing mentioned earlier is now part of it.

  18. Hi Andrew. You can also try here: https://www.silverstatefordparts.com/v-2017-lincoln-mkz--reserve-hybrid--2-0l-l4-electric-gas/body--interior-trim-rear-body It does seem to show the entire cover as being sold in one piece. However, the price is $308 instead of $500. Not great, I know...but a possible last resort. You can also find other online Ford Parts sellers by Googling 'Online Ford Parts sellers". And have you tried CarParts.com for any used availability? Good luck.

  22. I don't remember what the actual ratio is but it's low enough for you to be able to engage it and never have to touch the clutch once it's engaged.

  24. I don’t see how it would be different than buying a new manual vehicle and putting on bigger tires and increasing the axle ratios (numerically) to compensate which truck and Jeep buyers do all the time.

  34. Today they’re working, not sure if the dealer did something yesterday or what but I checked a couple times over the past couple days and didn’t see them move and based upon my observation, it’s unlikely I missed them so I’m leaning towards the dealer doing something. Regardless, the dealer acknowledged something isn’t right and they want to try to correct the details in whatever systems they’re using to ensure my vehicle is accurately included in future software updates/recalls/etc. At this point I’m wondering what else is wrong as the Titanium with 301a should also have Sirius Travelink for 5 years and Sirius said it only came with a 3 month free trial and that was based on the info sent to them by Ford, trivial but another indication of something not being right in Ford’s systems. Update: I just checked the paperwork from my service yesterday and it states they reprogrammed the headlamp module despite no updates per customer request. That must have enabled them.

  35. The first issue is due to compression over the satellite transmission. It is normal. That's how they get so many channels on a fixed number of satellites. Streaming over the internet does not have the same compression so it sounds better. On the volume controls, try unpairing and repairing your phone. If that doesn't work try a master reset on sync 3.

  36. That could be too, I don't know. I don't talk to my source anymore so I don't keep up on those things like I used to. Probably for the best so I keep myself out of trouble.
