  1. I wish we would've seen the Lincoln. Sounds like it'd have been awesome. You know, that R1-S looks an awful lot like the Flex..........it'd be neat if Ford brought it back as a BEV. hehe.

  2. Biden has said he wants to ban fracking and wants to kill the oil industry. Crude oil occurs naturally and is an excellent base for lubricants, fuel, plastics, etc. Does the UAW that endorsed him or the people working at automotive companies that produce cars and trucks that use oil know Biden is legislating opposite our jobs and industry? If they do how stupid can a person be?

  3. Report it to the better business bureau and maybe your local news station. Report it to Ford too. They can’t do much but I bet they can cut their gt500 and other allocations.

  4. I still think there's a lot of reasons to wait if you don't need a car right away, and no x-plan seals the deal for me. The 2021 already looks amazing... so just think what's around the corner with Warthog and who knows what else ford can come up with in the next 3 years? New options and features, more paint choices, white tops maybe? And by then the aftermarket should be churning out some really cool stuff too.

  5. Alex D -- We have redeemed thousands of dollars in rewards since inception of the Ford Pass Reward program. The current tire rebate program offers a $70 prepaid credit card or $150 in Ford Pass Rewards points; the majority of our customers are opting for the Ford Pass Rewards points (as a bonus, they also earn points for the tire purchase). The Ford Pass app and the Ford Pass Rewards systems can be buggy (Ford has the worst IT in existence) but the redemption process has been excellent to date. When it works, it really is a wonderful loyalty program.

  6. I understand why the Lincoln halo model was cancelled (or hopefully shelved) but I wish they went through with it. Lincoln needs a Halo vehicle. I could see the Ford model being a bronco Excursion or something.

  7. If I were to guess...if not Lincoln, it will likely by a "Transit family" vehicle.

  8. Bend points or a Ford pension have requirements to receive full monthly payments. If you are hourly in the Ford system you being 40ish will put you in line for an age penalty or as it’s stated reduced benefits. There is not contractual language that allows for a full pension benefit prior to age 62. It would take me a few minutes to give specific percentages but off the top of this old head I’m thinking you’d be reduced by 25 or 26 percent of your monthly income benefit. No matter how many years invested in the pension. If you are thinking about taking an incentive to sign on the dotted line be very careful and realize that 30 years in vested only gives full benefits at age 62. Good luck and get everything you can in the way of information.

  9. Well, doesn't that just suck! You'd think I would get something extra as a shareholder....

  10. At it's price point, limited garage space is not an issue to its target demographic.

  11. That's after 2025. The Mid sized Ford and Lincoln BEVs are supposed to be coming from Avon Lake inside two years

  12. Democrats want you to forget that relative oil price stability and the reduction in coal consumption came from extra oil and gas from fracking and other non conventional means. Those who have launched a product or two understand the difficulty of producing vehicles with entirely new powertrains. Those who have worked with energy companies, can only start to understand the complexity of the energy infrastructure of the USA. Permits and construction of all of this will require the better part of 10 years. In the interim, China will produce goods with coal fueled power. The OPEC members will be in control of prices as they will again have sufficient leverage to determine energy prices.

  13. The A/X/Z plan website hasn't been updated since March. The word is Bronco still qualifies for A/Z/D plan, just not X.

  14. There is supposed to be a Ford/Lincoln BEV crossover coming in about 2 years (I *think*) on a new skateboard chassis. There is differing news about whether they will be build in Ohio or OAC.

  15. Don't let those pesky additional facts get in the way: My goodness, Ford is right on GM's tail, yet to hear you tell it, GM has it all over Ford in electrification. By your own metric stated above, that position doesn't hold water. And then there's this: Please, give the hyperbole a rest. It gets old. https://www.cnbc.com/2020/10/23/gm-and-ford-stock-are-outpacing-high-momentum-tesla-shares-this-month.html https://www.investors.com/research/gm-stock-buy-now/

  16. Curious why you think stock F600-F750's is such a rare thing. I have worked for and/or with many Ford dealers over the years and many of them stock a lot of F600-F750 trucks. Here are some examples: https://www.truckpaper.com/listings/trucks/for-sale/195835213/2021-ford-f750-sd https://www.truckpaper.com/listings/trucks/for-sale/197741581/2021-ford-f750 https://www.truckpaper.com/listings/trucks/for-sale/194805915/2021-ford-f750 https://www.truckpaper.com/listings/trucks/for-sale/196524707/2021-ford-f750 https://www.truckpaper.com/listings/trucks/for-sale/28632733/2019-ford-f750-sd https://www.truckpaper.com/listings/trucks/for-sale/190170903/2021-ford-f750

  17. Bob, I have to be careful what I say these days, the info is commercially sensitive, even hinting at the source can be bad. F-600, F-650 & F-750 are normally built to order, not dealer stock. It looks like F-650 has recovered and F-600 is still small sales numbers maybe 10% of that.

  18. Don't mean to be negative here but given how many times Ford has changed plans in the past few years, maybe Ford is not sure what exact types of BEVs it wants to build. I can imagine a situation where Ford scopes a product envelope and develops the chassis, motor and drive, battery modules while leaving the top hat structure as generic modules until a decision is made.

  19. Nice, informative post, WillSD! For my first oil change yesterday, the dealer simply deducted the points on their computer -- upon checking out of the service department, and that's all she wrote. It really was free of charge!

  20. And that right there proves my point. There’s a reason 7.3L powered vehicles are so much more expensive than 6.0/6.4 vehicles

  21. I do believe I have posted a shot of my youngest sons EB, so on a related note, a friend of his who is very active in the EB community here in New England was contacted by an ad agency looking for an EB with the right "patina". He put the guy in touch with my son and here is the finished product. My son conditioned it that his pal would be the only one doing the driving. EB's seem to be a favorite these days of the advertising guys. https://www.facebook.com/sparkslawoffices/videos/2932313720377987/?vh=e&extid=0

  22. The first step is to download the Ford Pass app. My points appeared in the app after a couple of weeks after the car purchase. I'm getting my first service today and will attempt to redeem points. I'll follow up with how that process goes.

  23. So did the Bronco!!!! Hummer has a lot of brand equity and recognition, just like Bronco-no surprise they revived both nameplates.

  24. I think the UAW is brain dead, I want my dues back that the thieves stole, I believe we should get back the last increase they took out of our pay. What do they do to earn it (NOTHING) I'm also sick of getting all the stupid waste of money flyers they send to support another thief and liar. (I DON"T WORK FOR YOU BIDEN) Drain the UAW swamp. TRUMP 2020 KEEP AMERICA GREAT
