It's amazing how time flies. I was just looking at the title for the Bronco and was shocked to see that I bought this thing 17 years ago! I was even more shocked by the current prices of 1st gen Broncos for sale on the 'net. I finished the outside of the passenger side door today. I still need to find a missing clip for the lock cylinder before I can put the interior trim on the door. That's pretty much it for the body for now. I added Autometer fuel level and battery voltage gauges under the dash but I haven't wired them yet. It already had matching Autometer tach, oil pressure and water temp gauges. I plan to change the oil in the next couple of days so hopefully I can fire it up and get that Holley carb functioning properly again.2 points

I've had this '75 Bronco for several years now. With the way the value of these things has increased recently I thought it was time to drag it out of the mothballs. The biggest changes I've made to it so far have been to the drivetrain. When I got it it still had the old 302/3-speed stick combo. I replaced that with a stroked 351W (393 ci) and a New Venture NV-3550 5-speed manual transmission. I'm now starting to do some bodywork as the old girl has started to show some of the typical rust issues. I had already replaced some of the inner sheet metal like a section of the floor and parts of the front inner fenders a few years ago. Overall though the original body tub is in pretty good shape which is not very common for these old Broncos, especially in the Northeast. The problem now is that I am starting to see the typical rust at the rear quarter panel seams. The 1st gen Broncos used an unusual construction which I assume is similar to the '67 - '72 F-series. The upper section of the quarter panel includes the lower inner body panel (or inner bedside in the case of the trucks) that has the wheel well housing attached to it. The lower section of the outer quarter panel is a separate piece which is spot welded to a flange on the upper section. Bad idea as the resulting exposed horizontal seam is a prime location for rust. Several years ago I found a pair of one piece fiberglass quarter panels made by a CA company (KAL Offroad Racing). So far, after removing the rusted lower quarter panel section and trimming away most of the corner cap where the taillight mounts, I have trial fit the new passenger side fiberglass quarter. It actually fits over top of the original rust-free upper quarter panel section which means I am not losing any structural integrity. Still a lot of work to get it right but at least I have proven that I can make it work. The Bronco already had 'glass front fenders when I got it and I have another set of nearly perfect OEM steel doors. The doors that are on it now have way too much Bondo in them which is starting to crack. I also have a full convertible top with a folding frame which means I can finally get rid of that heavy-assed steel top. The only steel left on the outer body will be the doors, hood and tailgate and I am considering replacing the hood with a fiberglass one as well. The hoods on this gen Bronco extend from the grill all the way back to the base of the windshield and must weigh over 50 lbs. They are also held up by a prop rod. With a 3.5" suspension lift, 2" body lift and sitting on 35" tires getting the heavy steel hood lifted high enough to slide the prop rod in place is quite an exercise. I'm 5'-10 and the tops of the front fenders are chest high. James Duff makes a gas strut conversion kit for the steel hood and that may be an option as well.1 point

https://hotair.com/archives/jazz-shaw/2020/12/21/child-rapist-receive-taxpayer-funded-transgender-surgery-prison/ I get all the "open mindedness"... "its a mixed up world.. boy`s will be girls and girls will be boy`s" and all the Do Da Do Da Doo`s Lou sang about. But, when will this type of mixed up crap be understood for what it truely is? I`ve got some suggestions on how to reduce prison population, reduce tax payers costs for housing, food, internet connections, clothing and sex changes... None involve a pat on the shoulder and two hundred bucks of cash...but the results would help cut tax payer sending. Real Fast Results.1 point

At least we have different shades of neutral odors now instead of just plain white and black. Cactus grey and Luxe Metallic (replaced by Iced Mocha) are really nice. Even black has different versions with different metallics.1 point

The "whites" of the palette have made an amazing run. The metallic variants and particularly tri coats have added excitement to what was once "plain vanilla". Interestingly it has become almost impossible to do kitchen appliances in all but basic models in white. The other, less reported item is the stranglehold of black for interior colors. Many years ago there were many more colorful choices. With a nod to assembly complexity, choices are greatly reduced. Thankfully paint systems are still about 10- 15 per plant with choices depending on exact model. Specialty vehicles for fleet or police have an even wider palette including muddy browns and greys, as well as bright colors not seen on regular vehicles in decades.1 point

Well kinda, maybe but not meant as such. In the repost from another site, I took it as kind of an inlightenment type of statement, like so many are seeing and/or may see, depending on the level of sheepness. The last four word`s of the post (I was very wrong) was in it`s self another statement that on more occasions that I can recall will come from members of the herd that forgot the results from 4 years ago, well kinda little or no results. But the media did it again, the most recent feeding where the sheepies got herded up and made to eat up what the media put out for them from their media feed buckets. cecil it is going to be very interesting to see how this plays out. Some of the media are already letting things transfer from the filling of the feed buckets with the last four years of strange at times feed for the herd to eat up, ummm lets see maybe defund this or that was not a good call or the squad isn`t as cool (useable) as they were over the last four years. Or hey what's this?? Jobama`s families been doin what? Will a larger group of sheepies become UnWoke? Will the high rent district white people, Cali elitist`s or hug a tree for me groups be able to even say they understand the problems faced so by many of these groups they feel so sorry for and pretend they can relate too, will anyone be listening? Is there anyway the herd will realize maybe just maybe that was bullshit in their feed buckets? Me... I`d say I`ll miss the cold hard facts that... countless needless regulations were repealed, tax cuts for everyone, unthinkably low unemployment, a booming economy could fall back to the way things were four years ago. Maybe if the economy starts slipping Jobama can give Iran a call and ask for help starting a little something to jump start the economy? Then there`s always the other friend Jobama has, maybe a son or family member could get the friend to agree on selling Taiwan to wipe off the books a few trillion worth of dept.? Maybe some take out too or a few million in a brown paper bag... Comical? not so much.1 point

Comical was "ISIS is the JV team" or thinking its a good idea to deliver pallets of cash to a terrorist nation. Hey, what could possibly go wrong ?1 point

Thanks for the clarification. We learned our lesson about meager early model-year incentives when we ordered our Expedition the week the order banks opened...but sometimes you buy the exact vehicle you want at the time you need it and you take whatever discounts there are. We have specific wants, but we don't need a new vehicle yet, now so time is on our side. Lastly, the valuable information provided by members such as yourself, enables us to know more about the product than a typical salesperson usually does.1 point

As it always is, things take to much time to iron out. But, MTPwife you will be ok and the kindala will be just fine insurance wise. I have looked into continuing current Doctors, procedures, therapy as prescribed, meds that are in place and even possible experimental therapy and meds will be covered if documentation is in place with the requests. Will you have the typical paperwork issues here and there and stress... most likely but, hopefully the length of time taken for confirmation of benefits won`t slow any medical or therapy progress. It should not. Good luck and Shabbat Shalom (may the peace of the Sabbath be with you always) (Oh, I grew up hearing and being referred too as kindala when I asked Mom and Gramma they said kindala is you. So for years we all understood kindala meant us kids or children. well becoming older and finding out that a broken english ascent transformed kinder to kindala. So to honor those broken engish bi-lingual grown ups we just went along with the program. I believe your kindala (kinder) with be with the people and services they will need to go with the program the best they can.)1 point
