  1. This will be the last ICE Mustang coupe/convertible of history. It needs to be a great car.

  2. Hah! This may have posted before, I did a quick search and didn't see it (though we have so many threads I am sure I I might not have search far enough back). Take Two is YouTube before YouTube! Hah!!! My wife sent this to me earlier this afternoon.

  3. Honestly it's not really bothering me at all, I know it's going to be replaced at some point. I'm making noise about it here and elsewhere to keep pressure up for a proper fix. The question, of course, is what becomes a proper remedy? I don't think it's realistic at this point to think that Webasto can manufacture these with the expected quality. Could another supplier? I'm not sure, the design seems to have some fundamental flaws. So now you're going to have 25,000-35,000 MIC hard top 2021 Broncos running around with faulty roofs. What happens when they start flexing and cracking? Keep putting new bad roofs on? There isn't an obvious solution but the clock is ticking for them to figured it out. In the meantime, I'm having a blast in my rig.

  8. https://twitchy.com/gregp-3534/2021/07/22/those-are-just-facts-mary-katharine-ham-drops-absolute-truth-bombs-on-cnn-about-fauci/ Check out the facial reactions on the Controlled News Network when Mary Katharine just takes control and just won`t stop kicking them in the gut with the fact. And she stated she would be gentle.... "Mary Katharine Ham was on CNN this morning where she dropped some ABSOLUTE TRUTH BOMBS on libs and the media over their “fangirling” of Dr. Anthony Fauci. Well, I don’t think it’s entirely a game. I think it’s that Fauci is a very powerful public official who deserves and rarely gets tough questioning in almost any realm. He gets frankly a lot of fangirling and a lot of just sort of forum for his ideas and he doesn’t get a lot of pushback. Senator Paul understood the assignment here. He’s asking about a tough subject that admittedly none of us are experts on, but I would like to know a lot more about. And despite his protestations, tough questions for Dr. Anthony Fauci are not attacks on science itself. This is something we should talk about." "Further, Fauci has something to do with the numbers on his own level of trustworthiness. He has at least twice — and I will be gentle — in saying, at least shaded the truth about his Covid pronouncements based on his own judgment on what the public can handle. Now, you might think those shadings of the truth were noble, for instance saying that masks were not particularly efficient for helping protection back in the beginning of the pandemic so that they can be in greater supply for health workers that the end result was okay. But it did seed distrust of him with good reason. He also has admitted saying that when it came to herd immunity, he looked at polling to base his statements on much herd immunity would be the threshold we needed." "These two instances are just facts. [crosstalk] Hold on, those are just facts. And it is an issue that a very powerful public figure was found to be shading the truth about these things. And it is a reason people have come to distrust him." https://twitter.com/TwitchyTeam/status/1418203118890803200?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1418206692534276097%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es3_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Ftwitchy.com%2Fgregp-3534%2F2021%2F07%2F22%2Fthose-are-just-facts-mary-katharine-ham-drops-absolute-truth-bombs-on-cnn-about-fauci%2F YOU BEEN BUSTED TONY!!!!!

  9. Yes fmccap very interesting, very. I agree completely there is a clear sense of panic among the demolitioncrats. The demolitioncrats have to many crazies pulling and pushing their singular interests. The socialists in the gang are pulling the bernie boys apart like scared kids. The squad has went off the deep end with their we are the only ones right on every issue and situation. The moderates are unnaturally quite or just plain scared to say a dam thing. The Obamaster is to worried about how the shit ain`t working out with just about anything he put in place from his pick of the memory care patient to the states he said would deliver and are just flat failures with the highest crime and murder numbers and car jackings etc etc etc.... (here in Chitown Larry was offered all types of help, like the other loser leaders but...Larry had to say "I don`t need your help bad orange man", but now send the cavalry memory care patient...fast!!!!) 2022 is coming fast and the demolitioncrats are screwing up so much that the time to rework what these self centered soiled brats have put in place and all the money they have wasted will go down in history and take four or more years just to get us back to even close to what the bad orange man`s crew had us pointed in the right direction with an economy that had more group`s in profitable businesses than ever before, lowest unemployment number then in so long, oil and gas independence, that the demolition gang completely screwed up. 2022 will be a wake up call for the sheepies. Wait maybe the sheepies still don`t see the cliff ???

  13. My thought is that since the reason Ford's chip shortage is because the head decision makers thought COVID was going to keep them from seller vehicles. They then canceled their orders for chips, but continued to advertise their new vehicles. Knowing that Ford did not have enough chips to make those vehicles. So now vehicles sit in open uncovered parking lots collecting rust and not being stored in accordance to Ford's long term storage guidance in their manual. So I would say that giving an extended warranty should not be a big deal if they stand behind their product.

  14. The 7th Gen S650 Mustang is expected to be a '23MY vehicle so, in theory, the car would be going into production at some point late in 2022. That would mean it's like to be revealed (either at a show or online) around 6 months prior to that, so lets say Summer 2022. So, we're potentially 12 months away from seeing it in all its glory. Is it too early to expect to see camo'd prototypes? The nearest we've seen is what we assume are very early S550-based mules with a new brake setup. That was over 6 months ago, and we've seen nothing since.

  15. @ice-capadesor @akirby Can you confirm that the process is that dealers have to opt-in to receive these trucks? My sales guy told me he isn't sure if my truck has all the chips. I told him that I was tracking that dealers needed to opt-in to receive incomplete trucks, but he told me my information was incorrect.

  19. We ordered an F450 end of March, confirmation email April 2nd, scheduled for production week of August 16th. I have seen several people say their F450s were ordered after ours and scheduled before ours, so maybe you'll be surprised!

  21. Just wanted to thank you directly for all your help because I’m treating like I’m bothering my dealer when I call them. Also treated like I’m annoying them. I did put a $1000 deposit on my truck and deleted Adaptive steering that I did want but can’t take the chance of it not getting scheduled for months. I ordered a F350 platinum fully loaded with almost every option available. Also they are accepting x plan and I have a $3000 incentive offer locked into deal and first responder rebate so to start over isn’t in the cards !!!!

  24. What was received in the mail appearing to come from your dealer is likely NOT from your dealer at all, but is junk sent by people whom monitor new car registrations at the DMV and make it appear as dealer provided. There is no Ford plan called “Axiom Revolution Bundle”. Look into Ziegler, Flood, or ANDERSON & Koch (Jeremy Klund) online for actual Ford/Lincoln warranties and maintenance plans. We bought a 0 deductible 100,000 mile warranty and 8 year maintenance plan from Jeremy Klund at ANDERSON & Koch. They were reasonably priced and he was very helpful.

  25. Maybe I'm just impatient Hopefully we'll see those fully camo'd prototypes by the end of the year. As a Mustang nerd, I'm keen to start learning as much as I can about S650, even if it's just initial assumptions from the spy shots

  26. Watching what looked like a night at a memory care facility in Cincinnati..... all I can think of is "they believe their own bullshit". I needed a little giggle after the repeating of off topic words by a facility resident, stuttering and babbling on about trickle down, so as always the good doctor wrote a prescription.... 27. Tucson is the same size class as the Escape (and 38 vs 41 is close enough to be in the same ballpark TBH). Santa Fe is larger (comparable to the Edge / Grand Cherokee / Blazer).

  28. I guess with all the supplier leaks on new product recently, Ford are coming down hard. I guess testing at night and on the proving grounds, makes sense. I'm still desperate to see a prototype though!

  29. IIRC the last time the Mustang was updated, we didn't see spy shots for a long time due to them running them at night.

  30. As I understand it, it's still called S650, but it certainly changed direction during development. I was due to be based on CD6, but Hackett cancelled those plans and, as you say, the car is now expected to be a heavily modified S550 with elements of CD6. So, I guess it would be very easy or them to test the engineering side of things in S550 cars, but at some point production intent prototypes with production ready styling will need to be tested. And that will require the heavy camo. Those are the prototypes I'm talking about. Perhaps its still to early for that.

  31. The S650 was cancelled in favour of heavily modified S550 that uses some CD6 modules that permit hybrid. So hybrid Mustang is probably hiding in plain sight as it’s no so obvious like the picture above…..

  34. Would really like to see improvements on the rear seat of the 2 door Bronco. Either make it easy to remove, have it lay FLAT to the rear storage area or simply offer a rear seat delete option. Also, take the carpet off the back for the Marine Grade Interior.

  38. Looking at the Ford Performance crate engines, I can certainly see them making it available, whether it's a baby Godzilla or a performance mill--heck, the Godzilla is first on the crate engine page right now.

  39. GM has a propensity for over compensating with performance and handling and missing other features that would make those vehicles more livable in day to day driving. I know that’s sacrilege to the ears of performance oriented buyers but for many buyers, they want the whole package. The C8 had a few development issues and I’m sure that Ford will be looking at those and whether the package delivers the right balance I spoke of…….maybe there is an opportunity to do better and deliver a sports car that better suits the 2020s.

  40. I would think a Taycan would be a more apt comparison to a thunderbird ev. Maybe it’s for something that will house the 6.8L v8.
    1 point
  41. It depends on what the 6.8 turns out to be. If, as some here have speculated, it's going to be a performance mill, yeah, it's a no-brainer. If, however, it's just an "economy" 7.3 to replace the 6.2 in the Super Duties, that's not really going to be an improvement over the Coyote (or the 5.2), so there'd be no point to it as a "big v8 choice."
    1 point
  42. Hey, it may well be, all the Boss would need is Siamese bores like the 7.3, either iron or aluminium. if indeed the 6.8 is the replacement for the 5.2, an alloy block for lighter weigh would be justifiable.
    1 point
  43. I am still holding out hope the 6.8 is an all aluminum variation of the old 777 Boss
    1 point
  44. And that’s one of the possibilities because we know that Ford loves to reuse engines when it can (6.8 V10 in MD). aAso all the development work that went into the 7.0 Boss might be an easy solution / money already spent. The way Ford can mix and match parts these days, it could do anything on either architecture.
    1 point
  45. More than likely. Take the 7.3s 4.22in bore diameter combined with the 6.2s 3.74in stroke and you get a 418ci 6.8. Godzilla and Boss share bore spacing.
