  1. FWIW, I ordered my F-350 from Long Lewis in Hoover May 17. Built on 9/1, shipped on 9/4, arrived in Birmingham rail yard on 9/7. From there, it sat until 9/14, and delivered to Long Lewis that morning, picked up that afternoon.

  3. If you were to put our Ford system next to our Federal government system it might be hard to determine which is which. You can’t fire anyone for not being able to do their job, not wanting to do their job, not coming to do their job or being on FMLA more than being on their job…you can’t fire anyone. Senior Process Coaches don’t have to be able to run a zone, LL6’s don’t have to have a working knowledge of their department, ME’s don’t have to be engineers, LL5’s well some were spoke of in the same realm as Einstein but, nothing changes from the same complete confusion because you can’t make anyone accountable for the title they were given. VOME’s that have liberal arts degrees, PVT that just put training material on the W drive too? Train PVT members on “how” to be a PVT. Once again, you can’t fire anyone for not being able to do the job they have been given. General’s that work with China to give them a heads up, Secretary of State that negotiated with terrorists, Press Secretary with a tendency to speak of lies at the same time using lies to back up the lies or a Vice President on extended leave of absence. Then there’s the leader/CEO of our freedom corporation/government that lets military members get killed, drone civilians, negotiate with terrorists, give terrorists military grade equipment, open the door to many hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens, instead of making NATO members pay their fair share of being a member, just piss NATO members off by undermining them, expand Russia’s crud oil business, mandate even as if the freedom of choice isn’t in the constitution. But you can’t fire anyone for not being able to do their job.

  5. In the world we live in, there seems to be a never ending stream of complaints and disappointment everywhere. This letter is neither. In March of this year, I made a decision to come back to Ford and buy what I have wanted for several decades, but never quiet saw the design or end product that met my needs. When Ford introduced the last year of the fourth generation Superduty (2022), I knew this was when I needed to buy. Sadly, the chip shortage was about to hit with full force and want and need were about to meet supply chain issues. Hoping that this was not going to be as bad as it has become, I traded in my truck and ordered my 350. To me this wasn't any 350, but one that captures what I have always wanted. I ordered an F350 Lariat Crew Cab Dually with the 7.3 gas motor. From the day I heard Ford was going to introduce this motor, there was a course set out for my having this truck. I picked all my options that I could possible want, got the color and interior I had hoped for and executed the contract. Gone was my old truck and now we waited. Time ticked by and with each week the supply chain faced new issues after new issues... but my dealer kept me updated and we kept our fingers crossed. Finally a production notice was given and my truck had a build date. My truck was built on the second day of production of the new 2022s...5 weeks later I had my truck. Since that day, I have been amazed at every aspect of the truck, its quality, comfort, design and execution. Like anything, there will be those who have issues and toss stones at Ford. I have not seen one of those with this truck. I am amazed at the power, torque, fuel economy and overall performance this truck delivers. I have alway been someone who finds things to modify, upgrade or change to gain just that much more performance out of my rigs. This truck is a first in 40+ years... there is absolutely nothing I want to change on it at all. Ford truly knocked it out of the ballpark. Why would people dream of changing the billet wheels? Why lift it, level it or do anything that changes it from how it looks or performs? Many have their own reasons and it makes them happy... but for me, Ford found perfection and everyday I drive my truck, every road trip we take or adventure we have had in this truck. We just can't help commenting on how much we love our truck. This letter is simply my way of saying thank you for making and delivering a perfect truck to our home.

  6. I'm not buying a Camaro SS, Mustang GT, Challenger SRT, etc. I'm buying a truck. I would not be interested in installing a supercharger until more are available and the tuning is worked out. Nationwide, I bet less than 50 have been installed on 7.3 trucks and I wouldn't be surprised if it was only 10. If I want race car power, I'll drive my race cars. If I want to modify a truck, I'll do it when I want to. I did the same with prior cars and trucks - when I wanted to and how I wanted to. For some reason, I guess this doesn't make sense.

  7. I know, it's just the Tundra crowd are basically the exact same people who claimed the f-150 wasn't durable because it utilized turbocharged engines. Now their beloved Tundra only has turbocharged engines, it's hilarious.

  9. From what I understand there will be none with AS until further notice. Check each weeks scheduling for any change. Good luck.

  10. “I’ll just supercharge it later.” -Every single person that purchased a Camaro SS, Mustang GT, or Challenger SRT and wish they got a ZL1, GT500, or Hellcat, and ultimately never installed a blower. I’m not trying to bust balls, but I will make an argument for spending that money up front if you think you will need/want the power, and getting it OEM and under warranty.

  11. Because In Production doesn’t mean it’s actually on the assembly line. There are also delays waiting for some things that get added offsite.

  12. There are many who continue to do things that are against the norm, some to a level that is given a category label as "serial". Serial Haters, Serial Criminals, Serial Murderers and the Serial Failures. As for the serial failures one can fine a sprinkling of them on the Corporate Websites (Ford) across the business spectrum. Then there is one example of a career serial failure that stands behind a podium, likes his basement and goes to the beach to sniff hair. Is there anyway around these situations caused by the serial failures?

  16. Guys-what am I missing? We are not talking about anything overly complicated.....Air brakes! All the stuff is readily available. Somehow, Ford has a problem because the 7.3 runs hotter than a 6.8 V-10?? or a 6.7 Power Stroke? OR ANY OF THE CUMMINS/CAT OPTIONS THAT WERE AVAILABLE ON THE OLD 650/750 Cautilan Fords or the Bluediamond Fords?? Glad these guys aren't working on a space capsule? Oh and 7m- you might be right on an air braked 650. I think the bigger market now is a properly specced 33,000 lb 750 that carries a derated plate to 26,000 (25,999?) to avoid hiring a cdl driver. Its all about the cost-and availability -of a CDL driver.

  17. Usually get the window sticker 5-7 days before your build day. I got my window sticker 9/9 and truck has production day of 9/16. Window sticker will be on either the ford tracker site or the Mach-e tracker

  18. From the time you get a build week notification/date, how long till the window sticker is available. Also where will the window sticker be to view? Will that show up in the same location on the Ford tracking site?

  21. FordPass Connect/Lincoln Way Upgrade SUMMARY The FordPass Connect/Lincoln Way Modem Activation Dashboard (MAD) will be frozen and not updated from September 18th - September 25th, 2021. This data freeze also impacts the flow of modem activation data to both the Ford & Lincoln Commitment Program websites. There is no impact to the FordPass Connect/Lincoln Way network or the modem activation process. This scheduled upgrade for Ford Motor Company’s main database warehouse fixes many longstanding concerns around data latency, resiliency, accuracy and delivery. Once the update is complete the Modem Activation Dashboard will run faster, help improve refresh times and eliminate historical data inaccuracies. Once the update is complete, reporting will go live on the dashboard on Sunday, September 26th. The Ford & Lincoln Commitment Program websites will then update on Monday, September 27th and the cadence of daily data refreshes will continue.

  22. Not sure how I feel about that. Wasn't digging it at all when they initially revealed it, but it's growing on me. That grill certainly takes inspiration from the evos. My issue is that while I think that shape works well on crossovers, it looks too bulky on cars. Hopefully the s650 doesn't get that grille treatment.

  23. I miss the Fiesta hatchback. Had one a couple times as a rental, and loved it. Too bad about the funky dual clutch trans. I still remember driving it on the switchbacks from Flagstaf to Sedona, and the trans was very erratic. Very roomy and fuel mileage was exceptional. Don't miss the Focus. The Fiesta hatchback was the one.
