Slap a variation of the Focus’ front Fascia on the Escape, and it would do wonders for cleaning up the Escape’s looks. I think the Focus looks sharp. Throw in the ST powertrain while their at it for some real fun.4 points

I like it better than the current version. It's a shame we can't have it here. I understand the logic, so not trying to reignite that debate.3 points

2022 Ford Focus Facelift Revealed With SYNC 4 And Mean Green ST After giving the Fiesta an update last month, Ford is refreshing the Focus with many revisions inside and out. All trims get redesigned standard LED headlights with built-in fog lights for a cleaner front fascia. At an extra cost, pixel LED headlights work with a front camera to shut off parts of the headlight to avoid blinding oncoming drivers. The upper-spec lights also use the camera to read the road ahead and illuminate the inside of a curve. A major change has been made inside the cabin where the 2022 Focus switches to Ford's latest SYNC 4 infotainment system. It features a larger 13.2-inch touchscreen with support for over-the-air updates as well as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. The bigger display has swallowed the physical controls for the climate settings to create a less cluttered center console, although we're positive some will miss the traditional buttons and knobs. https://www.motor1.com/news/540515/2022-ford-focus-facelift-specs-photos/2 points

I'm sure our Ranger will continue to have the separate front bumper too, whereas this looks to be a global one with the integrated plastic version.2 points

This seems like a big ruling. I also love the FACT that Southwest isn't afraid to speak out against this considering the way things are now. Federal Judge Halts United Airlines’ Enforcement of Employee Vaccine Mandate2 points

Lack of RHD is always an issue - which is why lots of vehicles that would sell in Australia like newer Explorer, Expedition, Bronco or F-150 never made it to Australia. Looking back, it seems Hackett's plan was to use the Jiangling Ford models to sell in LHD middle income markets (mainly China, Russia, and South America) and Mahindra Ford models to sell in RHD middle income markets (mainly India and sub-Saharan Africa). We'll never know how it would have worked out but it was a fairly expedient and low cost way to ensure Ford remained a volume player in these emerging/growth markets. With Farley, he doesn't want to be a volume player in these markets which is why he pulled the plug on Brazil and India (as well as Russia/CIS which was less publicized)1 point

The pedestrian alert on the Corsair GT is audible inside the vehicle but it isn't that overbearing Toyota noise. Obviously, somebody didn't listen to the sound when they approved that. LOL1 point

My next planned long trip won't be until December. I know the cold will affect the range. I'll be traveling around 600 miles each way.1 point

My trucks have arrived! I'll certainly miss the highs and lows of this forum! I feel like a lottery winner advising all of you to 'keep playing1! One day this could be you! Good luck guys. Here is a recap of my experience... Ordered F450 Platinum on May 4, 2021 Ordered F350 Platinum on May 14, 2021 Both almost fully loaded but WITHOUT Adaptive Steering (got lucky on that one; no idea at the time it was a delay causing feature) Originally scheduled for Sept 13 build. It was interesting that both vehicles were scheduled for the same day even though they weren't ordered the same day. Went "In Production' on Sept 25th. Shipped on Oct 2nd. Arrived at the dealership on Oct 11th. Picking them both up today, Oct 14th. I am keeping the F350 and selling the F450. Reach out if you're interested in buying the F450. matthewsmith@3csoftware.com 770-757-2353 cell1 point

Man I guess I’m not scheduled again if the emails went out. Funny that my dealer told me weeks ago that I couldn’t change the order because I was “next”. I guess not next but next or next to next.1 point

AS must not be a problem any longer!!!! Got my email from Ford today (dealer emailed literally 2 minutes after I got the one from Ford) saying my build week is 11/22/21 (Thanksgiving week...oh boy). F250 Limited, SRW, AS, engine block heater, heavy service front suspension, roof clearance lights, FX4, 3.31 ELA, in Atlas Blue. Got x-plan pricing, AND got a $3,500 PCO that requires me to take delivery by 1/3/22. Ordered 6/14/21 Email Confirmation 6/15/21 Notified of build week on 10/14/21 (build week of 11/22/21)1 point

Archaic regulations are what’s holding a lot of that out of our market. A shit-ton of them date back to the 70s at latest.1 point

Yeah, really tired of these Ford statements on new products like Evos...."for China or Europe only." I guess North America is only seen as a bunch of pickup driving Yahoos.1 point

I'm sad to say that it's been a common theme, at least since the 80's, for U.S. Ford fans to wonder why they give Europe (and formerly, Australia) vehicles that we can't get over here. I've seen those explanations/arguments for most of my life, now, and it always seems to go their way. We get the Mustang and trucks, but they got so many vehicles/tech that we were flatly denied over the years....1 point

Thank you for sharing. I wonder if any of the U.S. products, Escape specifically, will get these kind of updates, or will Ford instead kill it with neglect ala Fusion until its EV replacement comes online later this decade.1 point

That’s what I do on my F350 SRW also. No use running excess pressure in rear tires if your not carrying near max load.1 point

With the Ecosport leaving soon and no replacement in site, the BS then becomes Ford's smallest CUV. I wouldn't be surprised to see Ford offer a BS base level trim with manual and fwd. Subaru does it with the Crosstrek except for AWD being standard. Ford will need a CUV priced in the low $20,000 range that is smaller than the Escape. So BS is only one that fits the bill. Maverick fits the bill in some ways, but it's not a CUV.1 point

Bear in mind that the official rated EV range and the projected range on your screen is always an estimate and will vary wildly depending on your driving conditions, outside temperature, use of climate control, etc. My Aviator GT has an official rated EV range of 34km (21miles). I normally average about 35-40km on a full charge with normal city driving; but I've stretched that to as high as 67km in ideal conditions and driving on hilly roads where you can get lots of regen braking. But in the winter when it is cold and you are using cabin heat the range will drop significantly to about 20-22km from both the temperature extreme which affects the battery and even worse if you're heating the cabin electrically. Curious to see how you make out with the Corsair GT, please update your experience after you've driven it for a while.1 point

That is hilarious! My company just recently leased two 2021 Toyota RAV4 Primes (PHEV) back in February and I could not agree more! The "pedestrian alert" EV noise when you put it in reverse is awful and ridiculously loud. I don't know what engineer at Toyota came up with their stupid EV noise but it could definitely be improved and lower the volume as well. There is no way to disable it and I've can't seem to find a fuse for it to pull out either. Thankfully the EV noise on my 2020 Aviator GT is much more subtle and soothing. How is it on your new Corsair GT? I would think they probably used the same speaker and sound as the Aviator.1 point

2018 F-150 with 57K on the odometer. I use it to tow a boat (~7500#-8000#). Haven't had a single issue out of it, runs just as good as the day it was new.1 point

I have a 2017 with 47k on it. I put 5k on it in the last two weeks n a trip out west. I guess I don't drive it enough. I was bummed that I had to put a starter in it last fall. Other than that no issues.1 point

I've got a 2018 xlt 3.5 crew cab with the 6.5' bed. Currently at 73,000. No issues to date with the motor. It spends the summers towing a 28' 5th wheel and the winters towing a 25' enclosed snowmobile trailer.1 point
