  1. Ordered 31 Mar and now it has finally arrived! I'm out of town so It'll be ready for me when I get back next week. Can't wait!

  2. Correct, a lot of the guys that worked on CD6 Taurus came across from Ford Australia, this is clearly an evolution/ amalgamation of Mondeo with Taurus to make one good vehicle. I’m betting that the hip and shoulder room is line ball with Falcon (tweeter size) but again Ford does this crazy “China Only” thing……. It’s such a shame that the Mach E electric frame couldn’t be used under this beautiful car…

  3. Welp, I'm the surprised proud owner of a 2021 Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition in Cyber Orange Metallic Tri-Coat. Drove past my local Ford dealer this morning on the way to work, noticed the GT in the lot. Got to work, pulled up the dealer site, check the window sticker - lo and behold, it's a GTPE! Price listed as "Please Call," naturally. I text my service guy (we have 4 Fords, so we're on a first-name basis) and jokingly ask what the markup is, estimating $10K. To my surprise, he writes back, "$10K, but for you...sticker." He's said this before every time I drool over a limited-edition car - GT350, GT500, Mach 1, etc. So I laugh it off. Decide to stop by after work, and he wasn't bluffing! I've never bought a vehicle from them, but with the amount of service I've done there over the past 15 years, I guess that earned me some small benefit. Did a deal at MSRP and a decent trade-in on our 2020 Escape Hybrid - not quite what CarMax was offering, but the trade-in savings on sales tax more than made up the difference. I've been tempted to order a Mach-E on and off since announced, and when I obsessively build-and-price my dream car, it matched this vehicle exactly: GTPE, Cyber Orange, Co-Pilot360 Active + Glass Roof, Interior Protection Package. It was fate! I've already ordered the Michelin Pilot Sport All-Season 4 tires (commuting to work in 30-something-degree weather the next few days will be...interesting), and need to call an electrician to wire up a 240V plug in the garage, because 3 miles of charge per hour is not gonna get me to work and back! Farewell to my beloved Escape Hybrid - after 2 years and 27K miles, she served me well and will be missed.

  4. While the GM letter does mention selling vehicles in excess of MSRP it doesn’t actually prohibit it and dealers have been selling corvettes above MSRP for years. What they are actually prohibiting is the same as Ford - charging additional reservation fees or increasing the price after the order is placed. The ADM warning is a bluff. If the customer agrees to pay $20k over MSRP up front and that’s what they are charged then GM has no say and neither does Ford. You may not like it but it’s not illegal, unethical or against the franchise agreement.

  6. This is the bumper I'm going to order for my truck if it ever gets scheduled. It's made by steel craft. And I called steelcraft and they said all the bumpers come with a adapter now to fit the new led style fog lights. I live on the river. So I have deer on my road and backyard often. I've hit a few deer and never needed anything but a car wash. https://www.peacemakerbumpers.com/2017-2022-super-duty.html

  7. Can’t argue with that. I can tell you that in ROW markets, the word discount hasn’t existed in Ford vocabulary for quite a while.

  8. Welcome to the forum. May want to consider dropping the tonneau cover, as they are easily installed once you get the truck.

  10. Recently deleted the Ford spray-in bedliner in hopes it will help my truck get scheduled (still holding out for the 5th wheel prep package). In checking out the price on the Line-X products with a local dealer, they now offer a color-match bedliner product based on the truck's paint codes. For an F350 CCSB, Line-X regular with lifetime runs $550.00, Line-X + with top coat runs $650.00, and the paint code product runs a little over $1k. Anyone out there have any experience with the color-match bedliner (or the top-coat product) that could help with my decision? Leaning toward the top-coat version at present, but it looks like I have time to make a decision. Thanks in advance - Toe Truck

  11. First real plowing with my 2022 King was awesome. I've been plowing with a 8 1/2 ft Fisher V for almost 20 years with 3 other F350's. By far this is the nicest to plow with. With the selective drive modes I've found the deep snow/sand keeps the rev's at a nice level to push some significant amount of snow. I do my parking lot and push 300 ft distances piling the snow high with the scoop mode. This tranny is always in the correct gear and rev's better than my 2015 King did. Also this truck backs up crazy fast with the 4.10 rear end and the Godzilla motor. Winner for sure.

  12. As I remember, my LineX color match was like 150 or 200 over regular. They gave me a hard time both trucks needing to know the exact color paint code. I just told them the Caribou brown on one and the reddish color ( i forget ) on the 2nd truck. I would do it on my 2022 but with white??? I have to say, the Ford Bed Liner is very nice. Love the Ford logo in the front. PS The pic on my 2015 was after 6 years, did beat it up with concrete, sheep ( all alive ) and tons of other stuff.

  13. There were some recent price increases but your order is protected and won’t cost the dealer any more. Don’t let them change the price on you - tell the it’s price protected based on your order date.

  16. No? From what I have been told by a reliable contact, out of Dearborn. Aside from Lightning coming up in a few months, F-150 sees nothing next year (MY2023), except MCA in Q4 '23, which has already been locked in. It's not a full model change like the others you listed. Maybe Super Duty, worst case scenario in Q1 2023? That is Q4 2022 at the moment I hear. The next generation "P736", is 2026. The all-new Lightning will beat it to market on TE1, allegedly by 1 year. Haven't been told the name of T3 architecture replacement for ICE trucks, but I'm thinking Ford might hold onto T3 longer than expected. T1 was utilized was used for two generations only. First in earlier form on the P221 F-150 from 2003 to 2008, heavily revised in 2006 for the 2007 Expy and Navi, adding in December 2008 the P415 F150. Super Duty was on its own from 1998 to 2016. T1 got phased out from Dec 2014 to Nov 2017, via T3 forming the P552 '15 F-150, P558 '17 SD, and '18 U55x Expy/Navi. Second generation of T3 is already here since Dec 2020, on P702 F-150 and upcoming U55x MCA & P708 SD, so I'm curious what replaces it for ICE? Straight move to TE1 and uncharacteristically recycle T3 for the 3rd time on ICE offerings? Or New T4/T5 for ICE P736 and 2029 SD? As for thr 8th generation Mustang, it's being studied, but pre-planning aspect and not an official program yet. Advanced Engineering and Design maybe.

  17. Ford doesn’t care if you buy 2 trucks or 20 trucks. They might question the dealer to make sure he’s not gaming the system but nothing you need to worry about.

  18. I’m sure your original dealer would be happy to resell the first order to someone else - you just need to follow up with them to cancel the order and get your deposit back if possible. You don’t have to wait to place the second order - they are 2 separate and distinct transactions.

  21. If the 2022MY > 2023MY Super Duty doesn't happen until the summer (July), per usual, you won't see the 2023 Super Duty Order Guide until mid-March with scheduling starting late May or early June. Until Ford releases the 2023MY Super Duty schedule and releases the order guide, everything is just speculation.

  28. Orders are submitted through the WBDO (Web Based Dealer Ordering) system and are not submitted "through" the COVP program. While not specifically mentioned in the COVP announcements, the Raptor should be considered excluded from COVP program as specialty vehicles are not part of the program. Raptor scheduling has always been done manually at the regional office, subject to specific Raptor allocation and commodity restraints.

  30. This is probably way more likely than the 5.0 V8 Ranger. Although in practice, Ford can just turn up the boost on 3.0 EB if it wants to make more power instead of engineering yet another engine drivetrain combo. That's the whole point of turbo... power on demand.

  33. https://www.autoblog.com/2022/01/18/2023-ford-bronco-raptor-interior-spy-shots/ Bronco Raptor interior spied. Gets the usual changes - red accents (stitching, air vent knobs, grab handles, etc), metal shift paddles on the steering wheel, additional buttons on the steering wheel (presumably for exhaust/steering wheel settings), but the big news is what appears to be a digital gauge cluster, or at the very least it's different than the regular models (unless regular ones will get this setup going forward).

  36. I would think that the CUV/SUV segment is covered by Ford from top to bottom in just about every price range and Maverick covers the bottom. So if Ford is looking at any other segments that offer opportunity, then the Evos concept would be it. Best of both sedan and CUV segments being attractive and functional/practical. Fits those who don't want a sedan or generic CUV. There is room for the Evos. Cool name also...21st Century. I'm talking North America here, not Europe or China.

  37. Ford previously said it is getting out of the midsize sedan market in Europe. The wagon version (there is another thread here on the wagon spy photo) will probably be in Valencia but too early to say. About 70% of Mondeo sold in Europe was wagon and 25% was hatchback. Sedan only accounted for roughly 5% of Mondeo sales in EU so not a surprise it won't come back. Just this month, VW also announced it will end production and sales of Passat sedan in Germany but the wagon will continue.

  40. If this were for me only, this list would have some wildcards in it. However, since it’s me, my special needs son, and his gear ( stroller/wheelchair and such) I need more utility. I’ve outgrown the Fusion for sure. I’m almost thinking the BS maybe too small. In regards to the Fusion, it ended up being an external transmission cable that needed to be replaced. Since it was outside of the transmission, it was not covered by the powertrain warranty. $555 with labor and tax. Not horrible but more than I wanted to pay. As it gets older, I expect certain things to wear out. It’s a gamble the longer you own a car and precisely why I’m eyeing a new one possibly in 2023.

  41. Is it unethical to take a big discount or big rebates when supply is far greater than demand? My F150 was over $10K below MSRP. Was that unethical? Can’t have it both ways.

  43. I put a Westin HDX grille gaurd on mine. One piece all welded, I talked to a guy that hit 2 deer with his and could not tell, they bolt to the frame in 4 spots and seem very solid. they have them in stainless or black powder coated, after this picture I re adjust it so it followed the body lines better. I also put a rough country 2" leveling kit, and Good year kevlar Adventure tires in 34" and color matched cap.
