  1. I couldn’t resist attaching a few more photos. Cleaned up and ready to roll!

  2. I've done some house cleaning and consolidation and added in a few new items to take notice of. Please review the items below for changes / updates. 1.) I request that you subscribe to this thread if you haven't already. Click the little button at the top that says "Watch topic". That way I'll get no frantic responses from any of you that don't keep up with this and ask me a million requests when I am gone or on vacation that I have already said I won't be available. You will be automatically notified as long as you have your forum / board settings set up properly. 2.) There are a number of you that have come to this forum for only the purpose of tracking and have in a sense spammed the forums with silly banter in order to fluff up your post count to get in here and demand some tracking action. I would think that if tracking was that important, many of those of you would have read my rules and responded accordingly. I know how you feel ... it is just like Terms of Service agreements or software piracy acknowledgments - you know, those agreements in software programs that scroll on forever that those people ask you to read, but you don't and you just click "agree" anyway to get to quickly click on the next prompt. Humor me and read each and every rule. I ask for a reason and there are so many rule breakers I'm close to my wits end with a lot of you. The rules are here to assist me in helping you - that is it. 3.) If you break a rule, I am no longer going to give you a kind reminder. I am simply just going to ignore your request. If you find you are being ignored, then you did something wrong. Figure it out. Re-read the rules you were supposed to have read in the first place. Then, once you are ready to comply properly, you can re-bump your thread properly. I am not going to respond until you do. 4.) I am sorry, but some of you are taking extreme advantage of my generosity and this free service I offer on my own time. Those that do are ruining it for everyone else. From now on: Absolutely no more than ONE (1) update per tracking thread, per week. I don't care if you are in the process of shipping, or have started production. You plan it out when you want to hear from me, but no more than once per week. I don't care if your lease is expiring and you need to know tracking info so you aren't left without a vehicle. Get a clue - If you are to the point where you need to know where your vehicle is in production because you may/will be left without a vehicle to drive - you have definitely already screwed up and have extremely poor planning that even I can't help you with. 5.) All PMs asking about tracking, information or updates will be deleted no questions asked. I thought this was clear, but apparently it is not. I don't care if you can't figure out how to post in this forum. No PM's about tracking or updates, period! 6.) I am not ignoring you, but at the same time I am not baby sitting your vehicle tracking either. If you want an update, bump your thread. If I haven't gotten to it in a few days, please re-bump - it may have fallen off my list of new updated topics. 7.) If you start to become annoying by wanting timely minute-by-minute updates of any minor thing that happened during your production run or shipment - please stop posting and see your dealer. I am not a service, I do this in what little free time I have because I want to. Please don't make me not want to do this anymore. If you respect my free time, I'll respect your request - it is pretty simple. You don't own me and I don't have to respond. 8.) I have to be at work to do this and I'll typically handle most requests in the morning. Don't ask me for a weekend update because you won't get it. 9.) If I have previously given you an update and in that update there was a specific date listed of something to happen next in the production run, please don't ask me for any more updates until that date has passed. I waste a ton of time with folks wanting updates to production dates I have given you when that date hasn't even happened yet - there won't be any changes. Please be smart about it. 10.) I am not the plant, delivery system, production scheduler or your dealership. Don't ask me to estimate any type of dates or time frame for you, or why things are such and such or taking so long. I can't and won't. There are a million and one variables in what happens with your order - things take as long as they take. 11.) I provide vehicle locator updates - status updates that can be found in your vehicle visibility report. That is it. Don't ask me to provide you with anything other than that, i.e.: no build sheets, no window stickers, no production schedules, no rail car information, no rail car numbers, etc. 12.) Do not make multiple threads for updates. Stick to one thread per VIN / Dealer Code-Order Number for updates. You want to follow a second car you have ordered, make a new thread for that vehicle. Repeat, do not make multiple threads for the same vehicle - even if you've provided incorrect information the first time. Just correct your mis-information in an update to your thread. I will get sick of figuring out which one I need to respond to and just not respond to any of your threads. 13.) I am a human, not an internet robot. I appreciate civility and I enjoy pleases and thank yous. However, please keep the extra chitchat outside of tracking info to a minimum because it helps me sort through threads I haven't upated yet and ones I have. 14.) I do not want anything in return for this. However, after all this work for you, my only payoffs are, 1 - knowing you are happy, and 2 - seeing that final picture of the vehicle I helped you follow for weeks on end. Please don't forget the photo. I love that. 15.) I need a valid VIN, or dealer code and order number to track your order. Please quadruple check the numbers you provide me. I know they are a long string of numbers and letters, but reporting those numbers right the first time will makes us both happier. 16.) When you bump your threads looking for more info, please repost your VIN (or Dealer Codes and Order Number) within your bump. 17.) Do not come here looking for information if you don't have either a VIN or proper, correct Dealer Code AND Order Number. Don't try to give me a Dealer Code with your vehicle description and expect me to find your vehicle. In most cases it is a needle in a haystack. Without both - forget it. If you have your DORA, the Dealer Code and Order Number are both on there, do me a favor and give me both or forget it. Also know this, most dealerships order multiple vehicles -even different types, under the same Order Number, so I will need a description of your vehicle along with your Dealer Code AND Order Number - such as: type, engine, trans, body style, that is it. Don't give me packages or trim levels, those things don't mean squat to me and are not listed in the Visibility Report as trim levels, just a laundry list of options. 18.) I am only a minor admin on this sub-forum, I have no control over how it works and how you get here. I can organize threads and close topics, but I am mostly just a user like the rest of you. Forget all the conspiracy theories of what I am doing to you in why you can't post here or your threads disappearing or whatever related to how the forum works, it is just all B.S.. 19.) If I give you a status and it is Unscheduled-Clean, that means you have a successful order in the system and it isn't currently scheduled for production. When you are in Unscheduled-Clean status I will provide updates no sooner than every two weeks, providing you bump your thread properly. There are a multitude of reasons why something doesn't progress quickly from that status to the line. It has to do with production schedules, plant availability, ordering priority numbers, where you live and that region / dealerships specific allowed allocation segments for that vehicle. I have seen Unscheduled-Clean status stay that way for weeks and weeks on end - even as long as 6 months depending on the availability of what you are ordering and speed of the plant, etc. etc. If you are upset about your vehicle being Unscheduled-Clean for an extended period, you need to work with your salesperson to try to adjust your order priority or find out what period your allocation unit is limited to. 20.) Enjoy yourself. If these updates start making you angry or hostile, or your attitude is making me angry or hostile, please go elsewhere and blow off some steam. Thanks as always. Any comments will be deleted.

  8. F-150 Lightning Order Bank Opening Playbook attached. Page 21 mentions Ford's Ad Covenant Program for F-150 Lightning. Note guideline #4. AD COVENANT PROGRAM GUIDELINES 5 guidelines that must be followed in order to be compliant: (Note: The first three guidelines are the same as Ad Standards) 1. Clearly disclose any stacked incentives in the body of the ad and refrain from stacking multiple conditional offers. 2. Refrain from language that implies the dealer has a Company-supported advantage over other dealers. 3. Must include Destination & Delivery charge (D&D) and all other customer charges in advertised vehicle price. 4. Dealers may not advertise or promote eligible vehicles at a price, payment, or offer that is derived from a starting price that is below MSRP, less available public incentives. – Dealers may derive their price, payment, or offer from the AZ-Plan price only in states where A/Z Plan sales exceed 20% of total sales. The use of A/Z Plan pricing must be clearly disclosed in the body of the ad. – Despite the restriction on advertising, dealers can transact with the customer at any price they choose (at, above, or below MSRP). 5. 12. I was planning on having the beauty rings powder coated, but ended up purchasing the black replacements. My dealer has been fantastic and is submitting the new rings for reimbursement under the “Bronco customer satisfaction funds” program. Should I mention that I’m also acquiring my Bronco at invoice price with no dealer/doc fees? Yeah, excellent dealers still exist ?

  14. While the GM letter does mention selling vehicles in excess of MSRP it doesn’t actually prohibit it and dealers have been selling corvettes above MSRP for years. What they are actually prohibiting is the same as Ford - charging additional reservation fees or increasing the price after the order is placed. The ADM warning is a bluff. If the customer agrees to pay $20k over MSRP up front and that’s what they are charged then GM has no say and neither does Ford. You may not like it but it’s not illegal, unethical or against the franchise agreement.

  16. While waiting on my 22 f250 I have been researching wheels/tires. I already have the carli 2.5 pintop system with deaver rear springs and have not made up my mind on wheels. My current truck a 15 f150 had a 4" lift with maxxis razr at 35x12.5x18 and vision machined wheel. The truck I have on order is the same color as my f150, I plan on putting on bronze wheels. I have come back to this Fuel Covert wheel several times. My plan is to get them in 18x9 and put on 37x12.5 Maxxis RAZR AT. Anyone running these wheels please share some photos. I like the stance of this truck but 40"'s are too big.

  17. 1/5 value trade in, 1/5 down payment and 3/5 low interest finance through Bank of America. It's far more valuable at this time to keep money making money (Stocks, Index Funds, etc) when you can borrow below 3% apr.

  18. Cash for me as well. I paid cash for my current truck so I have that to put toward it. With these crazy values lately it's currently worth more than I paid for it, so that will help reduce the cost to upgrade. I've had many auto loans over the years through my credit union but I'm not eager to take out another one.

  22. Cash baby! 84 months is a long time to finance anything tho. I would try to dial that back if you can. I might finance with PenFed just to hold onto some cash tho. I haven’t decided. It’s going to be a game time decision. Always pay it off early if you can. Make extra principal payments. These trucks aren’t going to stay priced like this for that long.

  23. eTransit is definitely stopgap. I imagine the next gen EV-only replacement will utilize GE2 but that's likely a few more years away. Brightdrop van is class 3-6 so it's a different market segment than Transit which is class 1B-3. But it does illustrate Ford has a potential problem on its hand... it can only milk E-series for probably another 4 or 5 years before more large fleet accounts stop buying ICE (small fleets will probably continue for a while but volume is going to crash). GM is the first OEM to jump in with clean sheet EV design and we know Daimler, Isuzu, and Toyota are all working on this size EV. We haven't heard from Ford at all on what will replace E-series, and the upper end of F-series Super Duty.

  27. Good choice on the wheels. I went with them because they were rated the heaviest in an 18 inch at close to zero offset. The Method HD’s are a plus 18 offset unless you go with a 17 inch wheel like Carli recommends. Mine are a plus 3 offset and it puts them just at the outside of the wheel well opening. They are a little busy but I always detail with a pressure washer so not a problem. Tires are currently 35’s because of a good deal on them but will run 37’s when these run out. Please post pics when you’re truck is here and all set up.

  40. You can’t scalp or gouge somebody when the purchase is 100% voluntary. It’s not like gasoline or food. Let’s say you’re a dealer who normally sells 100 cars a month and you only get 10. And there are 30 people at your door offering you $10k over MSRP to buy them. You’re telling me you’d turn that down? Now changing the price at the last minute is totally different. Also dealers have always decided what prices are because dealers have almost never sold vehicles at MSRP and I bet you’ve never paid MSRP. Tesla raised their MSRP on some vehicles by $9K. Ford could easily raise MSRP by $5K on Mavericks and people would still buy them. So what’s the difference?

  45. In normal times, sure, the system works. But when we are in this "unprecedented time", the system is flawed, and the policies and procedures that Ford has in place creates a uneven playing field. What the majority of us were told back in June/July when we first placed our orders isn't remotely close to whats been played out. Here's the thing, I am just some guy that needs truck, in fact I've needed a truck for months. I am also a person that's been a Ford guy since before I received my DL. So what do I do, I go to the smallest dealership in our new area, ones I prefer, and place my order for the model and options I want, give them a deposit and walk away. As a customer I couldn't tell you how many trucks they've already sold, how many allocations they've used, or what a priority code is. I just order a truck and expect it to be delivered in the time frame they told me. Completely agree, the commodity shortages are real and impacting the industry, there's no doubt about that. But the fact that Ford is still fulfilling orders based on a system that clearly only works during normal times is what most are upset about, myself included. Most ordering systems today operate on the "first in, first out" model, in fact I'd venture to say every single on line order we make day to day is that way, and if something is back ordered it's most likely "first in, first out" when the inventory supply is available. And to be completely honest, it's the system we are all accustomed to, even during these "unprecedented times". But instead, imagine if when you placed an amazon order you order doesn't go though when the item was in sock, because you only spend a $100 a year with them. When your friend next door ordered the exact same thing and got his the next day because he spends $1000 a year with them. How long do you think that business model would last? Would you be happy seeing your neighbor using their new special tool, when you need it just as much, if not more, and ordered it month earlier? The exact thing is happening now with our Ford orders. My order is a 450 as well, and I recently stopped in at a dealership that had a "retail order" PL (with AS, 5th wheel prep, spray in liner) sitting on their lot. So the allocation game worked well for them, and now they're selling a $95.5K truck for "well over MSRP" because they can, and the policies and procedures are in place for them to do so. All the while you and I wait for the exact same truck that's nowhere closer to being built today than it was on the day we wrote our deposit checks. Do you honestly think, we as the customers and end user of the Ford product should've needed to put into account what our dealerships allocations and allotments are? When I selected our dealership, it was based on their treatment of me and the time they took to answer questions and establish a respectful working relationship, NOT a forensic audit of their financial balance sheet, awarded allotments and allocations. This was Ford's second chance with me after a major issue with a brand new special order 2011 F-350. When the dealership opens this morning I am calling to cancel my order with them. I am also not naive to think this action will result in any change, Ford doesn't even know I exist and could care less if I drive home in their truck or not, they've made that abundantly clear these past several months. Today's executives at Ford only care about one thing, and that's making sure the Shareholders are happy, which in turn means the Board of Directors are happy, which in turn means they"ll all get their annual bonuses. The days of Ford executives caring about their vehicle owners is long gone, that was made clear to me in 2010 and yet again today. I honestly wish everyone the best of luck with their unfulfilled orders, and I absolutely wish no ill will towards anyone who might read this that's associated with Ford.
