  1. Nothing official. They're doing a bunch of work here in the body shop on the Ranger side during shutdown (hence the extra week) but that's all I know at the moment.

  4. Notice that Zephyr sedan also has no visible tailpipe. I think we’re seeing the next Chinese built Nautilus that will mimic the Zephyr sedan and be imported here. Maybe they could also Import Zephyr?

  5. I’m going to laugh if they install these systems and then in a few years there'll be a CO2 shortage and we’ll have to make more

  6. We're still building at the same ratio we have been since last summer nothing has changed there. I think what’s going on is they’re just not pushing Ranger so we can focus on launching Braptor and Everglades and catching up on bronco orders before we go into launch mode for NG Ranger later this year or early next year.

  11. Well folks, it finally happened - took delivery Tuesday evening, and it’s been a whirlwind since so I haven’t been able to take the time to post some pictures. I’ve already put 90 miles on (it had 11 at delivery so it’s just over 100 now), and it’s awesome. I've gotten several compliments and comments/questions about it both days so far! I’ll make another post about my likes, dislikes, and issues so far, but in the meantime here are some pics!

  12. Here's Our First Look At The Ford Fusion Active, For Real This Time https://fordauthority.com/2022/05/heres-our-first-look-at-the-ford-fusion-active-for-real-this-time/ Over the past couple of years, there have been multiple mules and prototypes purported to be the Ford Fusion Active, The Blue Oval’s upcoming Subaru Outback competitor. However, each time, those prototypes have turned out to be other models. However, these latest photos captured by Ford Authority spies do in fact depict the real Ford Fusion Active, giving us our first look at the more utilitarian version of the sedan that used to bear the Fusion name.

  17. This is definitely a Lincoln. in addition to the grille mesh, look at the taillight shape and design….looks just like the implementation they used on the new Zephyr….

  18. Quite a few of MY22 order banks have already closed or closing very soon. Check the top of each model forum in the next section and it should show 2022 and 2023 order bank information. Expeditions were planned to close mid June with production stopping mid September. Updated to close orders April 29th instead due to backlog of orders.

  19. COVP retail orders qualify for incremental scheduling which is not tied to the larger Thursday scheduling which includes all other order types like fleet and stock. Incremental scheduling with COVP orders means you can get scheduled any day of the week.

  21. As others have mentioned, I think the number is approximately 0. Mavericks are not in stock, you had to have already ordered it to get one delivered. And if you ordered it 6 months ago, you probably were not in the market for a Ranger this month anyway. Again, just my hunch but I think Ford is reducing Ranger production to make room for more Bronco and also not putting a lot of retail or wholesale incentives because it doesn't need to. In the old days, Ford would need to prop up sales near the end of production cycle with rebates but since it can keep the plant operating building Bronco, there is no need to flood the channel with Ranger to keep the plant utilization up. This is why building multiple products with staggered product cycle on the same line makes a lot of sense.

  22. Not to mention the Maverick hybrid is the 2nd most marked up/ADM vehicle according to this: https://www.thedrive.com/news/44997/these-are-the-cars-youll-pay-the-biggest-dealer-markups-on-right-now

  23. For sure ice-capades. The Ford April 2022 sales report said Maverick is "turning on dealer lots in just 4 days". That makes it very difficult for a prospective customer to find a new Maverick in dealer stock and available. For the hybrid models, that task is practically impossible.

  24. Very few. Just try and find a Maverick in stock that's available!

  25. Great looking truck! But your salesman is an idiot telling you antimatter is not available on the 23's. Ford hasn't released any '23 details yet.

  26. It is just physics. An internal combustion engine simply can't match the instant torque of an electric motor, and it is the torque you feel when you stomp on the accelerator.

  27. I’ve often wondered about the CD6 Edge and Ford’s claim that it wasn’t viable due to costs when Edge sells in similar price bracket to the larger Explorer. Maybe Ford has hopes of moving Edge buyers into Fusion Sport or maybe the Explorer at a similar price?

  28. I hope Ford doesn’t over commit everything to electric cars. I have nothing against electric cars, and I recognize the importance of developing them, but I don’t believe that everything is in place for a full transition, and there are plenty of people who simply don’t want them. Is Ford moving to quickly into a position where they won’t service both types of customers and they are going to let ice customers slide to other manufacturers who have the options? I just don’t know how this is going to work out in the long run as I am one of those who doesn’t want to fully commit to electric yet. These thoughts were spurred by the news the base model Lightning has more power than Fords supposed halo truck the Raptor, which I find to be pretty disappointing as a Raptor buyer. I recall when the third Gen Raptor was released being disappointed the motor was a carryover. It makes me wonder if money for engine development was shifted to the Lightning. Most of Farley’s statements are about electrics nowadays, which worries me.

  30. Hi blackboost, Yeah, that’s how I feel too. Two days ago I booked with dealer to have oil change on engine and differential, alignment checked and trailer brake reflash. When I asked why the diff service was so expensive, only wanted oil changed, the girl went away to ask why and came back to relay a snarky condescending explanation from some smart ass tech. Today I cancelled the service visit coz with that episode and the points thing, why should they get more cash off me after giving me a shafting on the purchase price to start with? Never going back there if I can help it.

  31. @tcritch3 I’ve been wondering where you’d been! She looks sweet… now it’s time to go with the 2WD valance and the raptor grill lights to compliment the roof lights. What’s a few more ? ? @Gharri30 fingers crossed here too for ya! Can’t wait to see your rig as well

  32. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again good ole FOMOCO loves to change plans!

  33. Geez, it has to be really frustrated to work at Ford right now. Especially as an engineer or designer. It seems like they keep making plans for future products, developing these vehicles for months or years, and then canceling them. The Lincoln rivian thing which was apparently spectacular looking, the bronco pickup, the fusion active, the next gen edge, and countless other programs we don't know about.

  34. We're launching Bronco Raptor soon so we're not working any OT right now, that's probably what the holdup is. Should pick back up in a few weeks.

  35. It probably depends on the vehicle. I ordered my Escape on 4/1/22 and have a VIN and scheduled production the week of 5/31. I also have a small dealership that placed the order. I'm praying I don't get bumped another week. My production week went from 5/16 to 5/23 in the same day. The following week, they bumped it to week of 5/31. Good luck on your truck.

  36. That vehicle is not the Fusion Active at all. Again, that vehicle hasn’t been seen in the Cycle Plan and I don’t believe is being carried forward. The vehicle in these photos has the Lincoln mesh grille and is most likely the next gen Nautilus. It has a similar shape to this.

  39. Price is Canadian yes. The options are my perfect build, buying on the lot for my last vehicle really made me appreciate having choices. I'll add spray in bedliner and 5th wheel hitch on delivery

  40. I think it’s total crap to get rid of edge nautilus. I hope whatever they replace them with they can make up for the void. I don’t know if any explorer or aviator EV is an adequate replacement.
    1 point
  41. It’s a shame they couldn’t figure out how to keep Edge. Like Fusion it’s the perfect size. Before buying our Nautilus we tried a Corsair and an Aviator which were too small and too large, respectively. But something had to go I guess.

  44. Most of the supply chain issues have nothing to do with China or Biden. Lightnings are sold out because they were super popular. You should have reserved one the day it was announced. The factory fire was last year and it’s already back online. There are 37 different suppliers having issues. It’s a complicated issue. Stop making it political.

  46. I wish I could have given you all more notice - but I didn't have any advanced notice myself either. Of course, that is the way they wanted it. The people they got rid of this time around left just about everyone I know there scratching their heads wondering if even they know just exactly what they are doing. It made no logical sense. In any case - the bright side for me is I won't have to put up with the continued aggravation of having the forum bomb out 4 or 5 times while trying to update 20 odd different orders/threads. That was maddening to deal with.
