  2. Funny how different the garage looks in the 3rd pic. All about perspective. Lol. Looks great, about time!

  3. Here are a couple of 2022 F-150 Lightning Window Stickers. 1FTVW1EL1NWG00138_WS.pdf 1FT6W1EV3NWG00003_WS.pdf Ford is generating F-150 Lightning orders for the FCTP (Ford Courtesy Transportation Program) so that Dealers will have vehicles available for demonstration. Ford is creating the orders, not the Dealers.

  4. Absolutely. The original plan was for 15,000 Lightnings in 2022 but I suspect that Ford is pushing to get 20,000 built and sold this year but we’ll see..GM’s slow progress with its EVs makes me wonder if all the talk is just window dressing to cover difficulty in ramping up the volumes expected by Barra. Rivian getting funding from Georgia will be a big boost and should be good news for stock prices (held by Ford) and yes, 25,000 builds from Rivian is exactly what’s needed…

  7. So true. I pick up my F-450 KRU with Moonroof, 5th wheel prep and massaging seats tomorrow morning.

  8. They are still making commodity constrained trucks. My limited is off the rail, awaiting the last leg of the journey to the dealer. AS. Spray in liner, wheel liners, massage seats, and 5th prep.

  11. Apparently there are other manufacturers that think ICE models are still important. I recognize I’m making a lot of inferences on Ford’s plans based on Ford’s recent actions, but I have an uneasy feeling about the situation. This combined with their support of California’s higher fuel mileage standards which is consistent with a major shift for the company. I can understand this support for from a long term planning perspective, but what goes in California does not necessarily work for the rest of the country. I’m just hoping they don’t loose focus on their ICE models during this long term transition to BEVs. https://fordauthority.com/2022/05/ford-reorganization-plan-will-not-be-emulated-by-mercedes-or-vw/

  14. As a current King Ranch F-150 owner I use the active motion everyday on my drive to work. I really wanted to order a fully loaded lariat with the BAP but decided to order a platinum instead because I wanted the active motion seats. It’s defined not a corny vibration style massage, but produces more a slow firm rolling sensation over your back and butt. It alternates sides and location that it “massages.” I think the big advantage is if you are like me and your legs fall asleep on long rides this helps to stimulate blood flow and prevent that pins and needles sensation. It feels sort of similar to how the pneumatic compression stocking in the hospital work I think.

  15. Ford has not yet released the schedule for the 2023MY Super Duty. The USOB (Unscheduled Order Bank) Opening Date, Scheduling Start Date & Job #1 Date information is provided via the FDNB (Fleet Distribution News Bulletin) which is published each Friday and available between late Friday and Monday morning. The release of Friday's FDNB has been delayed due to work on the FMCDealer.com portal. When the 2023MY Super Duty information is available, it will by posted in the 2023MY Super Duty Production Information forum.

  16. Think about what a redesigned Lightning means in terms optimising usable space, maybe all the things you desire are part of Ford’s new design…

  17. I agree with you. I think that a viable and reliable charging infrastructure is decades away. Biden and his corporate klingons were banking on Build Back Better and its 500K charging stations. Well BBB is dead. Who's going to foot the bill now? And sorry, people are not going to magically flock to EVs en masse even if our f'ed up government tries to shove it down their throat.

  18. I hope it’s not just a half assed job, but yet another carry over powertrain suggests that might be the case. Could this be yet another victim of Ford’s BEV push?

  19. I suspect that the TE1 Lightning’s proportions will be altered in a pleasant way that’s different to what most expect. If you look at the changes made to BEV Silverado and Hummer, they have a shorter nose because no engine required in the space now occupied by the Frunk. Most of the other body styling and structure will be similar to T3 as a way of keeping most truck buyers interested as well as differentiation from the Cybertruck. In essence, the proportions of the Cybertruck but with a more traditional F Series styled body and when people see that familiarity, it will be love at first sight.

  20. Maybe it's because I grew up with them, but I actually like the 97-03 aero F-150s.....especially the flare side models (that's what my dad had).

  21. Ford is doing that with some vehicles like Explorer where the exhaust exits down and the tips are decorative.

  22. But you also have to consider the efficiency of how that electricity was generated which can vary a lot.

  23. I think it’s total crap to get rid of edge nautilus. I hope whatever they replace them with they can make up for the void. I don’t know if any explorer or aviator EV is an adequate replacement.

  24. Watch that E-Transit number... Ford sold 975 units of E-Transit out of total 8,567 Transit or around 11% in April. Can't compare the YTD numbers because E-Transit has been on sale for only 2 months. I think this explains the question I asked last month on why there was no typical big spring fleet delivery of Transit to fleet customers this year. A lot of them must have reduced their ICE Transit order and waiting for their EV order to be delivered. I predict the mix of ICE vs. EV Transit will reach 50/50 pretty fast. Perhaps even by the end of this year. Edge is enjoying a reversal of fortune lately. I think supply shortage of Explorer is really boosting Edge. Ranger sales seems to have hit a rough patch... not sure if it is supply related (Ford building more Bronco and less Ranger) or demand related (Nissan Frontier is new and Toyota is pushing Tacoma aggressively)

  25. And if they wanted to further that, they could always do a “classic” model - I.e. carry on with the current more traditional Lightning while also having the more modern/unique one

  26. Mine tried to do this also. Luckily I had a signed offer by the same sales manager. I don't care what kind of deal they have with Ford, I had a signed deal with them and they ended up honoring it. Of course, I probably still got hosed on the extended warranty but that is for another post. ?

  30. ??. Same two tire options for me as well. I saw a Dodge the other day that had running boards that had a power step fold out of them. They were pretty slick if you had a decent lift or a short wife. No idea how they perform though. Similar to these, or could possibly be them.
