  1. The order number is included on every Window Sticker and included in the "Item #" section. For the example below the "13-R488 O/T A" information decodes as follows: 13 = Ford Region Number R488 = Order Number (4 Digits - Numeric or Alpha-Numeric) O/T = Order Type A = A Plan X = Plan 1 = Retail 2 = Stock B = Demo 5B = Fleet

  3. The Vehicle Visibility Report and Vincent are two entirely different things. The Vehicle Visibility Report includes order history, scheduling, production and shipping related information and status updates. The SMART Vincent program involves finance and incentives for retail and/or lease transactions including Ford Credit retail or lease financing, etc. The SMART Vincent program also has functions to lock in incentives and price protection.

  4. Dealer BS! The Vehicle Visibility Report is created and becomes active the moment the order is submitted to the USOB (Unscheduled Order Bank). The initial report will show the order status and the original order date. The Vehicle Visibility system archives the entire order history and includes all order, scheduling, production and shipping information status updates through the vehicle delivery to the dealership.

  5. My understanding of the process comes from having read the multiple explanations from the moderators and others who work in the system for the past 10 months. Regarding dealer assigned priorities, yes 10 is the best a dealer can assign. However, all dealer USOB are considered as separate entities. The dealer assigned priority codes of 10 - 19 are only to advise Ford, in which order the dealer would like their orders scheduled, discounting commodity and plant restraints. Having your dealer assign every order at priority 19 is no different than assigning them all as 10. If you are priority 10 at one dealer, it doesn't mean you are considered before a priority 11 at other dealers. By assigning all orders priority 10, your dealer isn't effectively managing their USOB and leaves the decision up to Ford, who probably selects the orders that are easiest to build. While I started at priority 19, my dealer did effectively manage the USOB, so my priority dropped as trucks ahead of me were scheduled.

  7. That leaves Saarlouis as the last ICE-only plant in Europe. Cologne: MEB midsize CUV and CUV coupe (replacement for Kuga... Fiesta's fate unknown) Craiova: Ford B-platform EV (Puma and Transit Courier, ICE Puma fate unknown) Valencia: ??? but I'm guessing GE2 (current product: Kuga, Transit Connect, S-Max, Galaxy, all on the chopping block it seems) Saarlouis: ICE Focus (fate unknown but probably will be the last ICE Ford builds/sells in Europe) Otosan: Transit and Transit Custom ICE and EV

  9. Ford used to supply Dealers with a small allocation of brochures at no cost at the beginning of each Model Years. Afterwards, Dealers paid $2.00 or $2.25 per brochure for all additional brochures ordered. I handled the brochure orders for my dealership for 35 years and on average we spent at least $2,500 to $4,000 annually just to make sure we always had brochures in stock for customers. For years, we'd have customers come in and be shocked when they saw all the brochures that we had in display racks in the showroom. Then they'd tell us that they'd been to other dealerships, had been told that Ford no longer produced printed brochures, and then realized that those other dealerships just didn't want to bother spending the money to make them available.

  11. I think people are confusing Allocation with Availability. In the past each dealer got X allocation each week and orders were filled from that allocation. If a dealer had 10 retail orders but no allocation that week nothing got built. This was especially a problem for small dealers. With COVP that changed. Each COVP orders receives incremental allocation so allocation is never a constraint with COVP retail orders. However, Ford has more retail orders than it can build each week, so the 8k or so trucks being scheduled each week (out of 100k+ in the order bank) have to be divvied up between 3000 dealers each week. If a dealer only has 1 or 2 priority 2 orders (COVP) and those have been sitting at priority 2 more than a month or two, it’s a parts issue not allocation.

  20. Expressing the value of stolen goods usually seems to be in street or retail value: $1 million dollars of heroin seized, not xxx kg; $1million dollars of diamonds stolen not xx number or xxx carats etc. Conversely, recalls are the actual number of vehicles, rather than the retail value: 3 million recalled X $41,000 ATP = "$123 Billion Dollar's Worth of Fords Recalled."

  21. Total Dealer BS! Sounds like the Dealer is too lazy and can't even be bothered to look at the Vehicle Visibility Report in order to give an accurate, factual answer to your request.

  22. IF they get around to building them, they'll probably be the mix and match of parts they are currently are now. Sorry, no multi contour seats, BAP on XLT, etc. Get an ugly new grill area though.

  25. But don’t tell anyone it wasn’t designed in America That link fuzzy posted is brilliant explanation of what’s there. I remember talking to one of the engineers when developing T6 Ranger in the early days, some days are great and some days you learn a lot. Bronco is a thoroughly thought out product and you can see why the reason to do it first off next Gen T6 was critical to getting all the small but important features and engineering paths right. The great part is the other two T6s, Ranger and Everest benefit so much from what was done for Bronco. Things that would be hard to justify with one vehicle are made much easier when considered as modules or packages. You guys will never see the diesels but I can tell you they are a big hit in rest of the world where fuel economy is real important.

  26. DonB, I ordered my Ranger on 2/21/22 too, and my dealer told me 3-6 month wait time, I'm in the middle of that but my Ranger should be built in the next few weeks and hopefully I'm driving it by the end of July. Like akirby stated, I would be sitting down with your sales person or the sales manager and get some answers. VVR is the Vehicle Visibility Report and the dealers have 24/7 access to it and it will give you all the info on your truck order.

  29. Huge article from one of the major electric companies in my area stating for customers to expect a 100% increase in electricity costs coming soon. Already submitted to the PUC. Price increases of the MachE coming soon, electric prices doubling coming soon.. Definitely hard to justify going electric.

  31. You must be having a bad day or you’re just an a-hole. Either way, no one is relying on you to explain anything. We DO get it. We are just asking for more communication from the mfg to tell us what’s missing and how long it will take so we can decide to move on if we need to. And we aren’t asking for you in particular. In fact most people would rather you don’t give your input based on your past rude responses. It is a GROUP forum. Didn’t realize it was the akirby ahole forum or I wouldn’t have signed up to be part of this group.

  32. Did you ever receive an email for your order? Ask the dealer to provide you cancelled order number. I'm betting you're going to hear crickets, and it's time to find a better dealer.
    1 point
  33. I suggest you may want to read previous posts to get an understanding of dealer allocations with respect to "Retail" orders. Dealers receive supplemental allocations for verified retail orders. If a truck isn't getting built, it is due to commodity restraints, plant capacity or dealer assigned priority codes.

  34. If a truck does not get built, it is because of supply constraints, not allocation. I will take that bet.

  35. Total BS from the Dealer. Ford does NOT just bump orders to the following Model Year. And since orders can't be placed until the 2023MY USOB (Unscheduled Order Bank) actually opens, it's impossible for ANY 2023MY order to exist. In addition, Ford has not yet released the 2023MY Super Duty schedule, although at this point the model changeover will almost certainly be later than usual due to the backlog of unscheduled 2022MY retail orders. I wouldn't be surprised if the Dealer never even submitted your order and is now just trying to cover their tracks, etc. It would be interesting to see what documentation, including the Vehicle Visibility Report, they can provide showing your order was placed.

  36. You would think they’d have the old software saved somewhere in case something like this happened. Bulletin says fix will be provided by 7/15. Good thing my PCO expires on 7/5 so they can try to screw me out of it.

  37. I am not sure where your understanding originates. Retail orders are effected by allocations. There are supplemental allocations but are not tied directly to retail orders. Each week scheduling is done primarily based on commodity restraints and dealer allocation. How do you think some trucks are built and delivered in 10-12 weeks while identical trucks will sit unscheduled for months and months. Many of those old orders are moved to Priority 2 by Ford but still go unscheduled because the dealer does not have allocation. My order was recently moved to Priority 1 and designated "above dealer allocation" and it finally got scheduled. My dealer puts all retail orders in at Priority 10 which is the best priority the dealer can apply.
