The order was officially placed on 9/27 I finally got the email that it has been scheduled. Build date is week of Feb 20th Fingers crossed! oh. They have assigned a VIN and there appears to be tracking on the https://shop.ford.com/vehicleordertracking ?

  5. VW might have spilt the beans by saying that there will be an EV Amorok by 2026, the Ranger based Amorok is about to go on sale in ROW early next year. Either VW is doing their own EV or they’ve just said something that reveals Ford’s plans…. sorry, edited for auto text typo

  6. I mean, I'm not arguing against it and I see it could be useful in certain situations.. but I'm like 5'6 and I can reach anything I need to by stepping to the side and stretching a little or just closing the gait and stepping on the bumper. Seems excessive to me, but I thought that about the man step before I started using it so ... maybe it'll change my mind when I actually use it.

  8. its 2022. Solutions like stepping to the side aren’t enough lol. being closer definitely helps with heavier objects though.

  9. I just step to the side of the tailgate and reach in. Being able to open it with my trailers that have the tongue jack too close to open the gate when hooked up sounds like a nice perk though.

  10. Auto Forecast spreadsheet shows Cherokee coming back in mid 2025 on STLA Large platform in Toluca, Mexico where EV Jeeps Recon and Wagoneer S will also be made. My understanding is STLA large can be ICE RWD/AWD or BEV FWD, AWD, or RWD, so I don't know if it means Cherokee comes back as EV or RWD/AWD ICE vehicle closer to the old Jeep Liberty. Also, Cherokee was almost same size as Compass, except for longer front section needed to accommodate the V6. Compass is being improved with standard 2.0L turbo and AWD. Auto Forecast spreadsheet shows Compass moving to STLA Medium platform in late 2025 and will be made at Canadian plant now making LX cars.

  11. Here’s the link https://ordertrack.app It isn’t all-inclusive, but it gives some good info. I don’t have answers to your other questions. My order isn’t as far along as yours.

  13. LOL! 4 Months! LOL! I waited 14 months for my Super Duty. It was worth it though! Stop changing the order and just have patience. Get what you want and just know that when you get it, it will be that much sweeter!

  14. At the risk of sounding like an old guy, this seems gimmicky and just more stuff to not work right when the trucks get some miles on them. But Ford usually proves me wrong when I start thinking like that, so we'll see I guess.

  15. Excuse the laughter but some folks have been waiting over a year on Superduty trucks and other vehicles. How many Expeditions ahead of you in your dealers order queue? If you’re next in line based on priority and order date then you just have to wait. With luck it won’t be more than a couple more mo this unless you have a lot of other orders ahead of you.
