  1. What was shown here: Is said to be the same vehicle as this: It was posted by Borg over on GMI that he has confirmed that the spy photo above is the new Ford 3 row EV, "Targeting 350 miles of range with 100kwh battery, efficiency is paramount in design. The back-end is going to be very controversial, it’s recessed with a razor edge wrapping around the body. Very futuristic looking vehicle with the same sort of wraparound HUD dashboard first seen in the new Nautilus. Ford may not be branding this Explorer afterall. Thunderbird is now being considered. The design is weird, not loved by many who see it." Would love to get some feedback from ExplorerDude as to whether or not this has any accuracy or not.

  2. This is exactly why, per my post above, it's advisable that dealership service departments run the VIN number in Ford's system for all retail or stock vehicles when they arrive to check for any New Vehicle Demonstration/Delivery holds and/or outstanding recall notices. Delivering a vehicle with outstanding holds or recalls violates Ford policy in addition to federal regulations and subjects the dealership to substantial fines.

  4. Checked with our Sales Manager yesterday and it is applicable to specific VIN's, not all Escape PHEV's. We are fortunate in that DW's is not on the list, so we are taking delivery on the 15th. Your dealer should also have the information available and can check your VIN to see if it is included.

  5. We aren’t running any OT though. Every time they try it ends in cutting hours short by the end of the week.

  6. So much for ramping up production! Let's rebuild MAP, re-introduce Ranger, add the Bronco, make a complete mess of the Bronco introduction, prioritize Bronco production to fulfill unanticipated demand backlog, prepare to introduce the next-generation Ranger, yet plant production constrained indefinitely and primarily by lack of a third shift. And even adding a third shift at some point in the future, it's unlikely that there won't be enough production capacity to meet demand. What's wrong with this picture? A lot of Ford failures in planning, anticipating and making adjustments as needed to maximize plant utilization and profits.

  7. Saying this is a "Ford" is like saying all Chinese made Fords are "Ford"s. JV Fords are still Fords.
