  4. I wish that I could say the more GM screws the pooch, the more Ford will succeed, but Toyota and Honda look to be the winners. Americans are conservative, hybrids are the way to go.

  5. Typically 93 octane fuels don't have ethanol mixed in which will also lower your MPG's.

  6. It’s even worse with Ford having 15 or 20 modules from different mfrs that have to communicate. This is why they’re going to software defined vehicles with fewer similar modules. I think this is why they’re delayed the next F150. Potential for big improvements.

Problem is the automation, not the employees- USPS top management has closed lots of regional sorting centers so now a package going 5 miles between towns goes 500 miles to a massive sorting center and back. Get a misscan somewhere in there and the package can take a cross country detour. Worked for USPS for 15 years and the workers had to do a lot of workarounds to avoid these mail detours, for example we would manually route mail directly between those adjoining towns so time critical stuff like notices, church bulletins, and ads for local businesses made it to local mailboxes before the event.

  8. You know who knows the ROI potential and ROI of other potential products? Ford. So if they’ve decided to go ahead with it there are good reasons. We’ve already discussed ad nauseum the reasons why a 4 door Mustang makes sense: offsets the coupe for CAFE purposes. Utilizes spare factory capacity. Utilizes existing platform and powertrains and styling elements. Furthers the Mustang sub brand, It’s by far the cheapest new vehicle to create. There is a void in the market. It literally makes no sense to build anything else RIGHT NOW. Things were different in the past.
