Congrats and welcome. I'm on my 3rd Maverick, for my purposes it does the job. HRG

At some point, things started becoming a lot more tribalistic, and people started having this mentality where they cared more about their side winning than they did about working together, and doing what was best for the country. We need to get back to that sort of mentality. I firmly believe most conservatives and liberals are sensible people, we just need to break away from. The extremism on both sides, and focus more on quality leadership.

Not to get into politics much more than we already have, but I truly believe that most people are pretty middle of the road, and that the loudest voices on both sides have been given the podium, which is only resulting in bigger and bigger pendulum swings back and forth (i.e. new guy comes in and undoes everything from the last guy). I'd love to see someone pretty close down the middle come around, who takes ideas from each side (but not fully what each side wants) and mixes it all together and also that congress/senate would also actually work together for the betterment of the country, not their respective parties and stop this ridiculous back and forth blame game where they can't even agree that water is wet and that the sky is blue because the other side said so. Term limits, lobbying elimination, single item bills (no BS 8,000 page things nobody has read), and no government stock trading would also be great places to start too........ /rant

LOL, he's on his second term so he's done regardless.

I have not been a Ford for a while, but very happy to be a new Ford Maverick owner! I'm looking forward to many years of driving this truck.

Next to Tesla and Rivian, Ford is the brand that's gonna come off the best from all of this. I will say, Toyota might be screwed. A brand for value conscious consumers and some of their most popular products like the Tacoma and RAV4 4 are about to get slammed. I could genuinely see this benefiting the ranger quite a bit. It's already closed the gap with Tacoma, it's a better truck by far, it's gradually developing a better reputation for reliability than the Toyota, and now it's gonna be significantly cheaper as well. If I was in the market for a midsized truck, I wouldn't even look at a Tacoma now, ranger all day.

Stock Market is not representative of the economy at large, only one of myriad indicators and it can be a misleading one at that.

Absolutely but the current primary election system makes that virtually impossible. Something needs to change.

Time to start bookmarking some in-stock vehicles, and see if the dealers get greedy once again. HRG

I'll believe 25% across the board tariffs when I see it. Maybe for a short period of time but I'm skeptical of it being a permanent thing.

Ha!! My Maverick is built and already over the border!!! Delivery date to dealer is next week and as of two days ago, she was on a train car near Topeka Kansas...

Joe, My bet is those 750's are gas powered jobs meant for light duty plow work-intersections, ramps, parking areas or maintenance work-just like Mass DOT that has similar 750s. Biggest reason Ford gets these orders I would bet is they are far cheaper than any F'liner or International as up until now at Ford offers the only gas engine in a class 6 or 7 conventional cab. With the release of the 6.7 Cummins gas engine that has changed, although I would have to believe that it will be a more costly option than a 7.3 powered 650/750 . But some agencies might be willing to pay the premium for that engine for the sake of fleet commonality given the class 8 trucks in their fleet. While I don't know what the 7.3's torque curves are, the Cummins gas engine does put out significant torque at lower RPM. That capability might justify its premium over a 7.3. Also as long as Ford refuses to offer air brakes in a gas powered 650/750 that will be another benefit the Cummins provides in a class 6, 7 truck.
