  1. I couldn't agree more. That being said, if the '25/26 color palette for the s650 is any indication, it seems like Ford is trying to bring back fun colors. I genuinely hope these colors extend to bronco and other products. So many of us consumer are tired of the colorless hell scape.

  3. As someone who owns an EV and commutes 400+ miles in a day a few times a month, very rarely would you be at a charging station for half an hour. Batteries charge the fastest at a low remaining battery percentage. They take the full power of the charger in that range and then slow down the closer you go to full. Typically I’ll leave my home with a full charge on the Lightning, drive ~215 miles and stop at a charger for about 15 minutes. This adds ~100 miles to my range. Do the same at another station about 2-2.5 hours down the road. Eventually getting home with ~10% range left. (When I had a Model Y, that same range would take even less time). My 400 mile round trip typically has about 30 minutes total added for charging. Compared to about 10 minutes for fueling up my old F-150 with gas. I try to align my stops with restroom, stretch, and snack stops. So it really doesn’t add that time. In exchange for that time spent, I also save about 50% on fuel costs and don’t have to waste 2 hours at the dealership for oil changes every two months (I drive a lot - 40k a year). Along with never stopping anywhere to charge but at home when not on longer business trips.

  4. The 2.3 Puma diesel used by Jiangling Ford looks like it is also similarly value engineered for China. The European Puma diesel was either 2.0, 2.2 or 2.4 liter and have been replaced by the 2.0 EcoBlue. So looks like Ford updated the old Puma (there is 2.0 and 2.3 liter versions now) and is using it only in China. It powers all the Jiangling Ford trucks and vans as I noted above.

  5. EcoBoost engines are also made in China, so it's not just a local supplier thing. JMC wanted to make lower cost alternatives to the traditional EcoBoost engines since the existing Ford engines could drive the cost of the vehicles up. The JX4G15 and its larger derivatives were developed to the standards of Ford. The JMC-Ford 1.5T has a cast-iron block. Other things I found out is it has a side-mounted direct injection layout and a timing chain just like the larger 2.0 EcoBoost. The Equator Sport which is exported as the second gen (CN) Territory uses a larger more powerful 1.8-liter version of the JMC-Ford 1.5T in select export markets.

  6. According to the Stellpower website, Cherokee is supposed to be the same size as the Wagoneer S, which is 192 inches long. 1984 Cherokee was 167 inches long. Cherokee is supposed to be a Wagoneer S with a different front end and powered by a hybrid instead of electric motor.

  7. Yeah I get it, but checking behind my car and looking around for kids always worked. Yeah I know, things can change in 5 seconds. Okay, what about seat warmers? Why do we even need them? Just a fluff. Do car mfrs. have to recall cars if there's a problem with them? Does a warning light appear on the dash for something that trivial and unnecessary? Does it affect the computer? It shouldn't, but who knows these days. I wish I had my 67 Mustang. No nonsense, I could do any repair on it myself, no engine or oil/maintenance required lights, no emission crap. My 1985 Ford had a fender-mounted control module (Standard ignition part # was LX203) that I had to change once or twice in 15 years and that was it! No computer analysis was needed. If the car didn't start it was the coil, module or fuel pump. All easily replaced. Oh well.

  8. I see so many factory painted purple, pink, orange and bright green Jeeps. I don’t understand why Ford refuses to do the same thing with Bronco.

  10. I guess they did tease a 60th anniversary Bronco package, which I'm sure will be like Mustang's and just be a special paint color and a badge and sticker or two. How exciting!!

  11. At this point, all Miss Cleo sees is maybe a trim package here and there, and more recalls...
