I don't know if many people would consider the puma an icon, and this is clearly AI, but I'd like it if the puma went in this sort of direction for the next gen, sportier, leaner, and less bulbous. The current puma design is solid, and it's been so well received, this would probably build on that momentum. If it looked like this and came to the US, Ford would have a hit on their hands.

I'm thrilled, finally we get to see it instead of just hear about it. I'm expecting the styling to be pretty radical considering Farley as said they won't look anything like what people expects and he doesn't know how they'll react. He has said these small affordable EVs won't look like generic toasters on wheels, so that's promising. They're either gonna look awesome, or look like shit lol.1 point

Well technically a Mid engine vehicle is nothing more then car with an engine in front of its transmission or rear axle, so basically you could make the argument of just swapping the front with the rear subframes, but I don't think it is that easy 😛1 point

That wasn’t a mass produced platform it was a one off bespoke vehicle which they then modified for the GR1 which was also a one off concept car.1 point

Sedan sales were falling for decades as truck and utility sales increased. That made it easy for mfrs to discontinue them in favor of more CAFE friendly models and/or to divert those resources to new BEVs. It’s a combination of all those things. Take one away and it might be different.1 point
