  1. Oh absolutely get what you’re saying, imagine the Super cab bed on the crew cab and the 8’ Single cab bed on the Supercab..

  2. For me it's the stubby bed. The supercab looked way better with the longer bed.

  3. https://www.cnbc.com/2026/09/08/ford-china-dot-sean-duffy.html Keep it civil and politics as much as possible out of it. My take-This just window dressing for theatrics, if the administration wanted to be really "hard on Ford" they wouldn't have authorized the Corsair/Nautilus to be imported from China and the hard fact is that the "best" battery tech comes from Chinese companies, till someone else comes up with a better way of making them. Ford has said they'll already move production or replace those products with ones made in NA in a few years. Why hasn't GM been criticized for importing large portions of their lineup from Mexico (trucks particularly)or Buicks that come from China? I'm guessing they'll be next.

  4. You missed his point. At its price range, it's competing with both the RX and the X5. He's arguing that switching to RWD will help it better compete with the X5 side of the equation at the price point they're charging.

  5. $66k for a 222 mile range? Non-starter.

  6. Read Ford’s response, it’s worthwhile. They very politely call out Sean Duffy for being the idiot he is. Get it before it gets paywalled. https://www.detroitnews.com/story/business/autos/ford/2026/09/08/trump-administration-criticizes-ford-for-intertwining-with-chinese-firms/91662495007/

  7. I think Ford is right for taking its time making sure the EREV approach does what its buyers want rather than rushing something out to have it.

  9. I'm gonna guess that the Fathom front end is going to have a front end similar to the Bronco Basecamp/Dodge Charger where it looks larger then it is visually, but is opened up through the hood to cut down on the frontal area see photo for what I'm talking about

  13. Funny, I had suggested a while ago they try to build more things on CD6 to try to get what they can out of that platform but was told over and over that "no CD6 is dead" "there's no business case" "they are better off using C2"

  14. I don’t want to say too much and get myself in trouble but Bronco production didn’t have as much to do with it as you would think from what I understand of the situation

  15. Ford Banked Quality Turnaround On Over 300 Technical Specialists We also know that Ford brought back a number of "gray beard engineers" as part of its quality overhaul, but now, we're learning that it also brought in a host of technical specialists as well, according to Automotive News. The Blue Oval has either hired or promoted around 350 of them across the last three years, all of whom have one specific responsibility as it pertains to a part or component - such as a person tasked with preventing issues with vehicle wiring or engine contamination.
