  1. glad to see you all are still around. i've bought half a dozen cars since my 99 but i still have the '99. kept mine NA. now it has an SHM 5.0 Bigbore with 12.5:1 compression. Got the whole engine pkg from intake to headers. supposedly makes 700+ on large spray but i'm very happy with my 385 to the ground and 16mpg city. it only gets a couple hundred miles a month now.
  2. i think this site definitely has an identity issue. . . . it's pretty sad but they lost most of the SVT traffic due to these "upgrades" and thread deletions. . . . . . assclowns haha
  3. you're going to need at least 550rwhp on a Cobra to run with a 2006 Z06. . . . . Even the '03-'04 supercharged cobras running about 550rwhp are running close. If you want to beat them handily you're going to have to have 600-650rwhp (to be safe in case your friend with the vette gets some mods too). To hit that figure you're looking at well into $20K of work/parts for your current 2001 NA Cobra. You'll need a good rebuild with stronger internals (perhaps even an increase in displacement is in order) not to mention a blower of some sort and pretty much replacing everything else that influences power generation. It's not gonna be cheap, but if that's what you want, let us know how it goes. After you're done you'll have a nearly brand new car. . . . . i initially sold this to my wife but she still got pissed on how much my new engine, tranny, misc add ons. . . ended up costing with installation.
