I have a 2008 F250 CC, SB 4x4 PSD. I have 29k miles but I will hit 36 months in July. I tow an 11,000 lb gross (probably 9,500 lb typical) 5th wheel with it on vacations infrequently. It mostly takes me to work. I understand powertrain is 5/100 so my big concerns (engine, trans) are covered for 2 more years. My main questions were:
Transfer case, hubs and 4x4 electronics: Covered by powertrain warranty? Are people experiencing issues? I am getting some very feint squeeling noises while in 4x4 high that concern me. I will be taking it in for 30k service soon and will inquire but the fact that it is close to the end of the warranty concerns me.
Emissions (especially DPF!): Covered by powertrain warranty? How many miles are people getting from these? I seem to be in regen every 300 miles or so.
I am getting more and more squeaks and rattles in the cab. Somewhat annoying for a >$50k vehicle but i need to check to make sure I aired my tires back down after the last time I towed. I'll do that before I take it in.
What other issues are people having? Any typical problems that would drive the decision to extend the B2B warranty?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts
