  1. But Ford hasn’t built a two door Ranger in almost 15 years either.
  2. https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a64545301/40-ford-woody-wagon-inside-wwii-shipwreck/
  3. Right but more often then not a 4 door sells better then its 2 door counterpart (Wrangler and Bronco for example), so your limiting your potential for a more limited market. But I guess it all depends on what they want or try to accomplish with it...and maybe a 4 door is in the works.
  4. Do you really think the demand is there for a Lincoln Bronco that costs about that? The Braptor is basically a parts bin that doesn't have a major development costs over the standard Bronco A Lincoln Bronco would require whole new stampings and interior
  5. The one thing I'm really curious about is the design choice to go with only 2 doors-given how the SUV/Truck market has gone with multiple doors since the 1990s, how much demand is there really for 2 door product?
  6. But what is the point when Ford is already selling 100K Bronco Raptors? Its the same train of thought that gave us the Lincoln LT and Blackwood-both sales duds. Ford buyers will spend that money but I don't think Ford buyers will get Lincolns, because it doesn't give a good look for say owners of companies, since workers would be turned of by the image of a Lincoln instead of a Ford product. Another way to put it is like this-I worked for a company-Found out the benefits where changing one day, but yet she pulls up in a brand new Range Rover for the meeting...it would be the same thing.
  7. Wellness is an active and ongoing process of making lifestyle choices that promote a state of holistic health and well-being, encompassing physical, mental, social, and spiritual dimensions. It's not just about the absence of disease but about actively striving for a state of optimal health and well-being through conscious efforts and positive habits. Not sure how Lincoln can translate that into more vehicle sales
  8. One of my friends has a Subaru and is a bit more esoteric-they have a Nakajima sticker on theirs...but he is a bit of a WW2 nut too
  9. Nah-there is money to be made by people clicking on AI generated articles and its not the Auto manufactures doing it. Contrary to popular belief, most styling testing is done internally with focus groups with NDAs. Most concepts are upcoming products with their styling turned up to 12-13. Do keep in mind that a concept shown off 2-3 years prior to a product release was most likely done around the same time the styling was locked in for a product. Case in point, this was leaked in December 2019 This Ranger didn't go on sale till late 22 in Australia and 2023 in USA
  10. https://www.motor1.com/news/757234/slate-electric-pickup-prototype-parked-on-street/ Holy Bronco II vibes.
  11. It would be far easier just to use the Everest with a new front end to make it a Lincoln
  12. I dunno that is an absolutely terrible AI/Photoshopped image...you can't make 80% of the details on it.
  13. https://arstechnica.com/cars/2025/04/tesla-makes-its-cars-lie-about-their-mileage-lawsuit-claims/?comments-page=1#comments
  14. That is considered less ugly?! wow
  15. Seems like over the past 5 years or so we either get over/too busy styling or soap bar type styling on vehicles. Car design have been suffering the past couple of years because of this.
  16. Kinda of a interesting chart...Ford does well https://www.visualcapitalist.com/ranked-favorite-car-brands-of-the-ultra-rich/
  17. Another article https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a64489334/slate-ev-truck-teaser/
  18. Just noticed on the spy shot that charge port is at the rear instead of the front.
  19. But haven’t we’ve seen saying this for the past 20 years or so? Im guessing the impact is lower than what we think it is. Im guessing that blowing out inventory and cutting back on production will help out Ford for the rest of this year.
  20. https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/business/2025/04/13/gm-brightdrop-ev-crisis-mass-layoffs/83057183007/# who would of thought that selling a 70K EV van would be problematic?! with that said, anyone have any idea how Amazon is making out with their rivian vans? It seems like they had a ton in my area, then they disappeared for 6-8 months and I finally saw one a few weeks ago in my area.
  21. I dunno, as I get older I really have no interest in reviving a 40-50 year old name for a luxury product that doesn’t resonate with my generation?
  22. Also keep in mind some of those same people who are angry and vocal about Tesla are nothing more then people who want everything to be about them-they go from claiming to savings the environment or whatever to putting stickers on their cars saying they bought it be Elon went crazy in their eyes. All because of how they want to be perceived
  23. They did this years back with another credit card...my parents had the same thing happen.
  24. I'm thinking its the Slate Truck that was in the thread I posted I don't think Ford would do a 2 door truck either Just for compairson: A Maverick on a Flatbed tow truck-the CE2 would be roughly the same size This 2 door looks quite a bit shorter in OL vs the Maverick.
  25. So here is the problem with all of this-people are fed information from their media about the United States and Trump has been a lightning rod of negative attention for years now...good bad or indifferent. I know random people in the EU that complain about Trump (without being prompted by me) and its a regurgitation of what they've seen from the media, which has its own agenda...but that is whole another story. People are equating Trump=USA. People also feel powerless because they think the USA has this outsized influence over their country (real or managed) and vent about it. Much of what is being done is stereotypical Trump's Art of the Deal style, which is further infuriating people. People are dumb/stupid/assholes and just react to what is feed/given to them, instead of trying to be analytical and actually thinking about what is going on. But no the media just sells everything as a kneejerk reaction. Anyways-what has been going on is change of style in how the US policy is being done (once again good/bad/indifferent) and removal of the status que that some people feel like that the US might have been getting taken advantage of by certain individuals or even groups. How much is actually changes won't be known till long after Trump is out of office.
