  1. Its going to be Ram version of the Wagoneer...not midsize SUV
  2. Going by that teaser photo, I'm guessing its a new grill and bumper to make it look more like a Ram vs a Jeep...
  3. It is simple-they assumed that people would always plug in their vehicles and use EV mode, but what is actually happening is people aren't charging the vehicles either due to laziness or because they can't. They went with the best case instead of worst case when making estimates, because they forgot to factor in human nature.
  4. In the grand scheme of things, outside of a major issue, an EV should be more reliable/require less maintenance then an ICE product would. It would also make me wonder if the local mechanic shops would be even willing to invest money in training to be able to fix them.
  5. https://insideevs.com/news/738757/scout-range-extender-gas-option/ Ford's 1.5L 3 Ecoboost in relation I'm guessing that an ICE in a EREV configuration won't need as many accessories attached to it to help make it smaller

  7. As for how it collect data: https://theicct.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/fs-obfcm-accuracy-verification-feb22.pdf
  8. If you get bored, the calculations are here: https://www.epa.gov/energy/greenhouse-gas-equivalencies-calculator-calculations-and-references 8.89 × 10-3 metric tons CO2/gallon gasoline × 10,917 VMT car/truck average × 1/22.8 miles per gallon car/truck average × 1 CO2, CH4, and N2O/0.994 CO2 = 4.29 metric tons CO2e/vehicle /year The other way to look at it is that for every kwH being produced by a power plant, its going to multiple things not just powering a car...then multiple the number above for every single vehicle being operated at that time, which adds up very quicky TLDR-Powerplants overall produce less CO2 then thousands/millions of cars operating at the same time.
  9. Uh that is the concept (same color/wheels) as what was poste before....just the windows aren't photoshoped/tinted out That window drop in the front door looks awful IMO.
  10. I'm still waiting for the fuel pump fix...hopefully they'll have the seat thing taken care of also soon so I can get both taken care of lol
  11. Ford to recall about 227,000 vehicles in US for windshield, seat issues, NHTSA says
  12. I just got a carfax notification for another recall on my Bronco about the seat? I haven't seen that before.
  13. I kinda like it but I think its going to be watered down quite a bit and won't translate as well to a production model. Looking at the current model and the concept, they aren't all that far apart, it looks like Toyota broke out a straight edge for the styling on the concept They are using a lot of black to hide things-like the C pillar and making the green house look different towards the rear view mirrors
  14. Good point but older people are even a harder sell. The other issue is people already hate dealing with dealerships (already a trust issue there and they have their own motives for not wanting to sell them)
  15. Well it hard to collect data when it wasn't collected prior to 2021 LOL The data has been updated since then
  16. OBFCM - On Board Fuel Consumption Monitoring These where added in 2021, thus why the data doesn't go back that far
  17. what it boils down to is many people dislike change and hate having to change their habits. EVs require both. I find people are very resistant to change, unless they see a huge, clear advantage in doing so and EVs don't do that for large part of the population. If people where more willing to try something different, I think there would be less resistance to them.
  18. Article: https://www.autoblog.com/news/plug-in-hybrids-five-times-dirtier-than-claimed-te-study Direct link to study: Smoke screen: the growing PHEV emissions scandal Also looking like people aren't plugging in their PHEVs as often as they should, once again.
  19. Exactly-everyone is sharing an opinion and not information.
  20. The Author is just an asshole https://247wallst.com/cars-and-drivers/2025/10/27/ford-gets-a-correction-to-our-f-150-lightning-story/
  21. But comparing the US to other countries is stupid also...since quite a few of our states have equal land mass to countries in the EU for example. What might work there doesn't work here and vice versa. its a lot easier to build say a national train system when your country is the size of say Washington State (Germany) vs one that needs to stretch over 2800 miles east to west and multiple time zone. There are so many other factors at play like cost of gas and other things that making a comparison of what works in one market vs another is far beyond most peoples knowledge here.
  22. Are they? using the Ranger as an example*: US Ranger XLT starting MSRP: $35,3751 Australian Ranger XLT Starting MSRP: $69000 AUD=$45230.88 USD South Africa Ranger XLT starting MSRP: R681500=$39536 USD UK Ranger Raptor (no XLT) starting MSRP £47,800=$63748.23 vs 56,070 MSRP * This isn't completely inclusive because the ROW Ranger has a Diesel vs Ecoboost in the US and the market variations in options/packages, but close enough to prove the point. Not to mention currency strength vs the US Dollar. Also some vehicles are going to be "cheaper" because the cost of living or earning levels are lower then in other countries also.
  23. How many times are you going to answer this? LOL
