  1. Mileage actually goes down or stays the same when I'm on a highway drive of 2 1/2 hours.
  2. Ford has been making improvements to it over the years (adding a heat pump this year and some minor interior changes), the styling might be getting "old" but there where apparently plans to make different models (coupe etc.) in the next year or two, but given all the changes as of late, like you said it may or may not be discontinued or maybe moved to the new CE1
  3. They quit using the Cobra name in 2004 and the GT500/350 names afterwards. I'd venture to guess that the GT350/500 resonate better (along with Mach 1, Boss, and Bullet) with the Mustang name plate then Cobra, which was an open top 2 door roadster
  4. Just going by the Mach E-I think the production cutbacks have hurt inventory, I know when employee pricing was announced, I checked my local dealership and they had next to no Mach Es in. Prior to this they had anywhere from 6-10 of them. Plus notice the Mach E has the lowest gross stock of all Ford products, outside of medium trucks and Lincoln.
  5. The funny thing is that my '22 Bronco has been getting the best around town MPG for my commute to work of all the vehicles I've owned in the past 20 years or so. I get about 20 MPG with the 2.7 V6. I was getting like 17 with the SHO (I'm sure the AWD didn't help) and my Mustang was around 18-19, but I drove much further with that to work vs what I've done for the past 10 years.

  7. They are? I wasn’t aware they arent the same type of construction
  8. So going on my experience with factory wraps-a single piece of protective film on my Bronco slowed progress so badly that I dropped it on my reorder. Apparently those options are done at a different location then on the primary assembly line. a quick search says a wrap on a car can take 1-5 days, but they also are most likely using precut ones to help speed the process up on the Slate. So I’m figuring at least 4 hours per vehicle to get it installed?
  9. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/15dxPZJaUw/?mibextid=wwXIfr 🚨 New Record Alert! The 2025 Ford Mustang GTD has shattered its own Nürburgring lap time, clocking in at 6:52.072, improving upon its previous 6:57.685 record. This cements its status as the 4th fastest car in the production sports car class on the ’Ring! 🏁🇺🇸 There was mention that they will be arriving Spring 2025? Summer officially starts in June so can we expect GTD’s to start arriving to customers this month?
  10. According to the wiki article, the ES on the TNGA-K (GA-K) and the Crown is on the TNGA-L (GA-L) So I'm assuming they are closely related to one another like the Chevy Blazer ICE and Equinox use the same platform, but one is longer then the other
  11. They do now-I've seen white and Piano black 😛
  12. Doing that would hurt Tesla even more then Cybertruck did. A self driving car has very limited potential at this point and having it interact with other drivers on the road is just asking for problems, even with AI assistance
  13. Here lies the problem though-in the NA market and to a lesser extent the EU, cheaper product will be compromised in such a way that it will turn off perspective buyers off. Until batteries get cheaper or labor is super cheap(like China), it’s going to be hard to make a profit off a EV that sells at $25k, not just start at or after US Federal tax breaks, which imo aren’t long for this world
  14. The problem with Tesla to a degree is the lack of diversity in their product lineup. A cheaper product from Tesla will just hurt 3/X sales because it won’t be that much different from them and be more appealing to customers in price. I’m sure the S had some sales taken from it the 3 also. The cyber truck was an attempt at diversifying the lineup but just did everything wrong.
  15. https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a64621664/2026-ford-mustang-shelby-gt500-spied/ I’m gonna assume that Ford isn’t going to use the Shelby name this go around.
  16. The biggest issue with the Slate truck is that it is possibly too bare bones at the price point that they are aiming for with a federal tax credit (which isn’t an discount to vast majority of buyers unless you lease). So I’m going to assume that if you want something with speakers and a wrap on it and the larger battery, the price point is going to be in the $35-40k range before any discounts. They have a low target of selling 150k of them, but I think it’s going to be more like 50-75k a year. I also didn’t see anything about what it is using for charging-like its port or if it’s a 800v system
  17. The ES has been based off the Avalon for a generation or two
  18. One major cost issue is going to the wrap for colors-on other products, like the Mustang for example, it is a $6K option just for a matte film over the paint. I've seen quotes for aftermarket wraps starting at $4K plus
  19. The Slate looks like it will answer what people claim what they want, but don't actually buy. Should be interesting how this all shakes out.

  21. I had my 2006 Mustang GT for 11 years and my Bronco doors have screwed up more in the past 3 years (even not driving it everyday to boot) then Mustang windows did. I think I had it happen maybe a half a dozen times in 11 years.
  22. I do...I don't see the point with spending extra money on stampings to make a fixed roof. Not to mention all the changes with the greenhouse to make it look different then the Bronco would add cost. Using the Everest with new front end clip and maybe some massaging of the the greenhouse to make it look different would work for a Lincoln Variant To counter what Fuzzy was saying about the doors-the frameless doors on the Bronco are a slight PIA to deal with-the auto down works most of the time but screws up enough to be annoying
  23. So I’m assuming that this is the retail market vs fleet sales. I’d venture to guess that trucks make up 60-80% of fleet sales. Also 2-3% increase or decrease is really a stretch when sedan sales are down around 25% over the past 10 years.
  24. Reminds me of a grownup Prius. The pea green interior looks terrible
