  1. I can't really tell from the photos but is Ford now offering 3 different types of fenders? Raptor, Everglades, and regular to accommodate the different flares? I can't tell if the Everglades squared off flares are on slightly squared off fenders or regular round arch? I think they should all have always been slightly squared from the get go.
  2. sounds like For and Rivian have decided not to build an EV together say s Automotive News
  3. GM can put out a shiny FPC V8 all they want but they must be wanting a "Bronco" more than anything. How bout 50 race built V8 Broncos for $250k each? How 'bout booked order banks for Bronco, Maverick and Lightning? Hummer shmummer.
  4. I wonder if they put the spare tire inside the vehicle cargo area? I believe the L has it below.
  5. https://www.motortrend.com/news/ford-maverick-st-sport-truck-render/ This! I think this would be great Euro Focus ST drivetrain 2.3L would be killer.
  6. Rear 3/4 view is my favorite view. Trying to get used to the headlight scheme... Struggling as I still am with the new F150 lights.. I do really like this vehicle though. Interior is great. Navy pier cloth on XLT is nice, even like the orange accents. Minor detail? No push button start? Just good old fashioned key?
  7. I'm a little worried about the final appearance of these headlights as I am about the Mavericks...
  8. Pretty negative start to this thread any positive developments?
  9. I agree, I think the big screen lightning dash we saw last night is the new Expy dash. Maybe a 12" screen on the XLT?
  10. Thought this might have been posted earlier. I like the sound of the Wagoneer. Interesting in betweener lengthwise. Too pricey for me, still waiting for the right used expedition max to replace my rusting hulk Yukon XL.
  11. All looks pretty good to me except I'm struggling with the headlights and grill.
  12. Not feeling it. Orange highlight is nasty, bar on grill is nasty. It's only marginally better than the awful police grill with the stupid square opening. Let me tell you how I really feel!...
  13. I wonder if there will be a trim level or another country of sale that will use conventional keys? My friends Nissan Rogue has a push button start and its right next to the column where there a plastic plug covering the hole for a keyed ignition.
  14. What did Ford do with the F150 bodies to prevent aluminum corrosion that they didn't do on the hoods and tailgates of other vehicles referenced here? I haven't heard any nightmares on F150 panel corrosion. Also regarding vehicles weights, I remember folks saying that they were able to add additional feature and content to vehicles due to the lower weight of the body shell. i.e large sunroofs, electronics. etc.
  15. To some degree, I'm with snooter. The headlights are just messed up. The rest of the vehicle is great.
  16. I've come to like the exterior of the current Explorer minus the ST and cop grill (square air intake) and bland tailgate. The stance and profile is nice. On the interior, the IP is not competitive at all. I was hoping one of these new off road versions would have some decent mechanicals like the GC for some light overlanding, beach duty or whatever. It's got the bones and correct layout to do it. Instead we get tow hooks, a stupid red trim bumper accent and OK tires. So I'm not a target customer for an Explorer or even GC, I get it. I have a killer Rubicon Jeep that goes off road once in a while. I'd trade it for a 4 door Bronco after they finally sort out their stupid trims but sometimes its nice to buy a vehicle that has the capability and image even though you don't need it.
  17. I like this a lot. Exterior has a little of the Chrysler minivan with that chrome wrapping around the back but I like both. I think the interior is much better executed than the Explorer....much better. Was hoping the straight 6 engine would debut here. We are done with 3 row "large" vehicle needs so the regular Grand Cherokee would fit the bill better. Keeping my old shitbox Yukon XL for hauling needs.
  18. I'd take it over a Tahoe/Yukon. The interior is nice but I need to see how the rear cargo area lies down, hopefully flat. The exterior is okay, not great. I don't like the kink in the rear glass. Just leave it flat. Rear is pretty good. The front end of the original (and the woodgrain) had great presence, this could use a little more inspiration from it. Just not enough. Do I like it better than an Expy? Maybe. I still can't get past the Expedition tail lights and bloated rear end. It needs to look slimmer. The Wagoneer looks slimmer for it's real size. Show me less glitzy Wagoneer with a burgundy red interior, white exterior or a dark blue or green one with tan interior
  19. I am more convinced after looking at several photos in the prior links that the rear fenders are bolt-ons. I could see an option or a special edition with Bronco R style fenders without the full wheel arch.
  20. I don't disagree. Its the same argument for the Mustang. The V8 has the sound and nostalgia.
  21. This is probably a good preview of the next Ranger Raptor for sure.
  22. Here's my take as a 2019 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited owner Bronco Pros: Frame-less doors and fender mounted mirrors. Jeep can have issues with exterior hinge corrosion and door weight. Curious how the hinges and wiring work Modern Suspension. Coil over shock springs and trick IFS looks promising. Better for 90% of users Roof. No mid bar open roof looks great, modular pieces lighter weight for moving and storage Drive train. 7 speed with granny allows for a normal first gear allowing a better start from stop, both engines look great on par axles from Dana Design. It looks very good but a touch more cartoonish than the Wrangler. I thinks it's from the over fenders. Electronic Wizardry. 12" display and IP well done. 5-7 modes of operation could be interesting if done right. Perimeter view handy Cargo area. I like the slide out tailgate with the Ford logo. Well done. Cargo underneath this space? Interior. Looks like a lot more appearance options and styles. Nice use of dash space. Nice console and better window switch location Sasquatch. Yep. Bronco Cons: Roof. No mid bar eliminated overhead lighting over cabin, speakers. Not obvious if a conventional convertible roof exists for various levels of open-ness Audio. TBD, speaker locations aren't obvious. Front mid knee? Dash yes. Rear passengers and cargo Sub performance? Drive train. They have to know that everyone really wants a Coyote in this thing. The 8 spd in the Jeep is excellent. The ford 10 speed may be as well but overkill. Design. The cargo area lift height should have followed the door height and the door could have used the f150 mirror drop line Electronic Wizardry. A real tachometer instead of a speedometer would have been better with just a numeric digital speedo in the center Interior. The HVAC and stereo controls and location are very underwhelming (the mounting panel mostly). Grab handles are cool but should be up on A pillar. Just my initial thoughts...
