  1. Getting "error, access denied" at this time...
  2. With all due respect Fbf, I wouldn't call our o/t "massive." We have worked, I think, a Saturday and a couple Sundays so far this year. We'll see what the C489 launch brings...
  3. Does anyone know if any HVC's have maintenance (skilled trades) people on site?
  4. Steve, if you're talking about ppl leaving thru buyouts & retirements, we won't know for sure how many ppl will actually leave until the end of this year (in all the plants). As has been the case with every round of buyouts/retirement programs, some ppl do the math and decide it's better for them to keep working.
  5. A sad time, indeed; what a rich history TCAP has. Maybe down the road, if the economy ever improves and we get back to selling 15m-17m vehicles in NA annually, the company will see fit to bring back a compact pickup, built and sold in the U.S. Best of luck to not only everyone who was still @ TCAP, but everyone in the supplier plants, too. If you're thinking about transferring, many of us are living proof that it can be done, and you can survive. Long live TCAP!
  6. Yes; the democratic process worked, the majority of the membership voted to ratify. Now let's stick together, and make mgmt live up to their part of the new agreement. Oh, and one more thing: i was told i need to be a Cardinal fan! ;}
  7. Always a pleasure to read your posts, sir! Ford's resident economists and analysts are still predicting that if the economy recovers, sales could once again return to 16-17 million units/year or more. If that happens, and our market share grows with that, it's not a pipe dream that we could use another U.S. plant or two. Keep Wixom and Twin Cities open! :}
  8. Posting went up Thursday, at 13 plants/ worksites, for (4) pipefitters for LAP. Report time of October, no date.
  9. What year? We heard Marky Mark will tell us to be glad we have a job, and here's a '99 Mystique w/ only 79K miles for each of us, if we ratify today! :shades:
  10. At Indy, we heard that, plus a voucher for free food & drinks @ all Hooter's. For life. Damn, King & Settles effin' rawk! :happy feet:
  11. Going thru a plant closing suuuuuks! I wish nobody---hourly, salaried, contract---had to go thru this. Having said that, I feel so fortunate to at least have the opportunity to keep working, keep my seniority, keep making a good wage, and have decent benefits. Thank you UAW! For those moving on---salaried, contract, and our hourly coworkers retiring or leaving the Blue Oval family altogether--- I wish you all the best. For those of us heading to new plants: let's be glad we have good jobs to go to, and work to endear ourselves to our new "families". Peaceout!
  12. Your comments are encouraging, 44; I ordered one as well, a Titanium hatchback. And my kudos also to the folks @ KCAP---and everyone involved in making my '11 Escape. It's been a great vehicle; no problems!
  13. Indianapolis Steering is closing late this year, early next. So we'll be outta da picture. But Raws, Sterling, Milan, Saline, & Sandusky---the company is gonna xsfer all the blue Tier 1's outta those plants? I don't see that happening.
