  1. Can confirm because I own a 2019 F-150 Limited, no difference EXCEPT tailgate step was included with Limited package for Canadian model vs. an option in USA. Dash has option for Kilometers or Miles depending on your location/preference in both US and Canadian versions.
  2. After owning the vehicle for about 8 hours I don't have enough time in the drivers seat to give a full report, but so far I am really impressed with the vehicle. I have bought many new Ford vehicles in the past, but never a Lincoln. Traded in a 2006 Fusion SEL bought new which has been trouble free. There are probably not a lot of 33 yr old MKS buyers out there, but when looking at the SHO and MKS I did compare the BMW and Lexus. With both the SHO and MKS the standard list of options and features handedly beat BMW 5 series and Lexus LS series. Comparably equipped, BMW or Lexus would have been substantially more and I'm not sure that I would have enjoyed the ride anymore than the Lincoln. Most people including myself will never take the vehicle on a slalom course or for that matter to a drag strip to check quarter mile times. With the Ecoboost the drag strip certainly might help those wondering which vehicle to buy though. Power is smooth, transmission doesn't need to downshif when rolling the throttle up an incline and interior is whisper quiet. My wife says the Lincoln is "classy" in looks and not overdone. I tend to agree. There are a number of items on the MKS that you may not notice at first, such as the chrome trim running on either side of the roof along the upper edge of the doors, all finish items such as chrome, leather, dash, carpet and even floor mats are upgraded to a level one would expect from a European car. Even the arm-rests on both the front doors and back doors are padded leather. Lincoln is also lit up in the sill plate which makes for a nice welcome upon opening the doors. I am still learning Sync, but so far all I can say is WOW. I'll give a more detailed report after some time behind the wheel, but for those considering the MKS especially against foreign name plates it's a solid contender.
  3. Decision made, after thinking it through I have decided on the MKS. I spend a lot of time in the car 100-150 miles per day and it is essentially a mobile office for me. Many of the creature comforts are similar, but I think I would appreciate the quieter atmosphere and perhaps the "Lincoln" ride quality enough to make the difference. Unpleasant part will be cancelling the SHO due to the relationship I have with the dealer. All in all, X-Plan and rebates equals over 5k off of sticker..... I'll report back on initial quality perceptions later.
  4. SHO currently has $1,000 FMCC rebate and Lincoln has $1,500 FMCC rebate. Not that much difference between the two right now. Will make a final decision tomorrow, I appreciate all the responses and perspectives so far.
  5. I'm a long time reader, but haven't posted a lot. I'm posting this on the main discussion board to get opinions from all vs. just Taurus or MKS fans. Normally I don't have a difficult time in deciding which Ford product to purchase until now. Ordered a SHO on X-Plan a few months back and it's scheduled to arrive tomorrow. I drove an MKS Ecoboost today and am having a difficult time deciding on which one to get. MKS interior is most notably a few notches above the SHO, but is lacking BLIS and active motion seats. Exterior styling preference of MKS vs. SHO is more personal and I like aspects of both. At the end of the day, the difference in the two loaded vehicles is close to 10k. Other than obvious distinctions, is the Lincoln worth that much more on quality, resale, finish etc? If I got the Lincoln I would imagine the Ford dealer may be upset, but either cars will be Ford family.
  6. I think this is being blown out of proportion, this is being addressed very early on and will affect a total of three days worth of sells. Majority of SD owners I have heard from are extremely pleased with the performance of thier trucks with a few already logging considerable mileage. Teething problems I agree, but the sky is not falling and from all indications it can be fixed with the reflash. If you are not familiar with the regen process you might want to look into it, Dodge and Gm are doing the same thing with basically the same type of system. I'm going to speculate they too will have their teething problems.
