  1. Just saw the reveal video on Good Morning America. I must say at first glance in the leaked photos a couple of days ago, I was like "meh". The more I see it, I think I'm falling in love with it more. The lines are beautiful, still instantly recognizable as mustang, yet taking it to another level of sophistication. I love that they're benchmarking the Germans, yet still the car for the common folks. I know M3 shoppers are not considering the "cheap Ford" but at least it'll bug them a bit that a car 1/2 the price can keep up with it! The interior looks especially nice and (at least to me) looks better than more expensive cars I've shopped for. The wife has the sport ute, I have the Sequoia, can I justify one of these? Got to start making effort to make room in the garage! I hope they sell a lot!
  2. Hadn't seen it until now. I think it's fugly. Then again most in this segment are, Escape being the better looking one IMO.
  3. I'd line up to buy one. Earlier this year I purchased a new Mercedes ML-350 Bluetec (AWD, 240-hp, 455-ft-lbs V-6 Diesel) and my wife and I love it! She averages around 23-24 mostly city, but we easily get 31-32 highway driving 70-80mph. If we keep it at speed limit, 65-70 we average 33-35mpg. Strangely, it's rated 20/27 and I've never acheived those numbers-ever. Anyway, that's my experience with mine so far. Interestingly, the day I bought it and was waiting for them to prepare and clean the car for me, I saw in newspaper article about Americans Warming up to Diesels. It had the Ram pictured and mentioned the Chevy (Cruz is it?). Hey, at least they're offering the option now!

  5. Consumer Report Article :reading: I apologize if this has already been posted.
  6. Anyone ever heard of this? My link http://ecomotors.com/ Ecomotors International
  7. Wife took the Lexus RX330 in yesterday for an oil change and was told it was being recalled for some power steering issue (potential leak of some sort). Now this! They gave her a brand-new, loaner ES350 which she said was nice because of the new-car smell but that it didn’t feel substantial and didn’t feel necessarily newer than her 2004 RX. The very next thing she said was how nice the new Escape was. And there you have it, the perception of Toyota now among Toyota owners.
  8. I've seen a lot of these things around here. Still, I see 10 Escalades and Navigators for each on of these or the Lexus LX570
  9. http://www.cnbc.com/id/39759908/ I'm having trouble adding links, but this aired the other day and was excellent IMO. My wife concluded, "Makes me want to buy a Ford." The Explorer is shown going through the sand dunes and it looks spectacular.
  10. Love it love it love it. None of that CGI crap used now. Smokey and the Bandit. Hell, even Cannonball had some good car scenes. Fast and Furious - me don't likey.
  11. I found this on the web after looking up 1988 Thunderbird TCs on the web. There is a pretty nice one selling on Ebay btw… It mentions 2012 being the year of the Thunderbird and 2010 being the year of the Mustang. Seems to be more rumor that anything substantial. If by 2010 being for the year of the Mustang they are referring about introducing the 5.0, then that makes sense. But what about a Thunderbird (or perhaps a prototype) for 2012 would that completely be out of the question? Given Mulallys record, I do believe the question has been brought up. I mean, he was the one asking Wheres the Taurus? Walking into the Thunderbird meeting room day in day out, Im sure hes pondered it. I wouldnt be in the market for one, especially if its a two-seater, but I wonder how viable it would be to share the cars platform with something new from Lincoln, the Fusion/MKZ or even offering it with a small 6cyl or 4cyl Turbo… Old news I guess, but interesting nonetheless.
  12. It looks pretty good actually. How much?
  13. The fat ass makes it looks like a stepside pony car. Or, a dually of some sort. Know what I mean?
  14. Totally agree with you. There are those that will bitch bitch bitch about the new materials, but if they only knew the advancements made in materials science... Rest assured this will be a better truck than the current one. I have confidence in Ford.
