  1. I don't believe any 2023 Corsairs have shipped yet. The Louisville Assembly Plant appears to be in "hold" mode for some reason. My wife ordered a 2023 Corsair Reserve last September and recently received her 5th notice of delayed production. For what it's worth, here's a summary of this adventure from the beginning: 21-Sep-2022: Order placed at local Lincoln dealership 21-Sep-2022: Order confirmation received from Lincoln 17-Nov-2022: Scheduled for production week of 09-Jan-2023 17-Nov-2022: VIN assigned: 5LMCJ2DA1PULxxxxx 21-Nov-2022: Priority Code changed from 19 to 02 by Lincoln 21-Nov-2022: Subwoofer delete confirmed; $250 price reduction 10-Jan-2023: Production delayed until week of 23-Jan-2023 17-Jan-2023: Production delayed (again) until week of 06-Feb-2023 25-Jan-2023: Production delayed (again) until week of 13-Feb-2023 02-Feb-2023: Production not scheduled per Lincoln online tracking 03-Feb-2023: Production delayed (again) until week of 21-Feb-2023 09-Feb-2023: Production delayed (again) until week of 27-Feb-2023
  2. You are correct, 1984Poke. The plant manager of Ford's Louisville Assembly Plant issued a welcome-back announcement on January 19th: Welcome Back! (ford.com) This suggests they haven't built any 2023 Escapes or Corsairs yet.
  3. Yet another production delay for my wife's 2023 Corsair Reserve. For the record, here's the timeline thus far: 21-Sep-2022: Order placed at local Lincoln dealership 21-Sep-2022: Order confirmation received from Lincoln 17-Nov-2022: Scheduled for production week of 09-Jan-2023 17-Nov-2022: VIN assigned: 5LMCJ2DA1PULxxxxx 21-Nov-2022: Priority Code changed from 19 to 02 by Lincoln 21-Nov-2022: Subwoofer delete confirmed; $250 price reduction 10-Jan-2023: Production delayed until week of 23-Jan-2023 17-Jan-2023: Production delayed (again) until week of 06-Feb-2023 25-Jan-2023: Production delayed (again) until week of 13-Feb-2023 Searching online, I can't find an in-stock 2023 Corsair anywhere. I don't think they exist yet.
  4. Yet another delay for the 2023 Corsair Reserve ordered for my wife last September. FWIW, here's a summary of what's happened so far: 21-Sep-2022: Order placed at local Lincoln dealership 21-Sep-2022: Order confirmation received from Lincoln 17-Nov-2022: Scheduled for production week of 09-Jan-2023 17-Nov-2022: VIN assigned: 5LMCJ2DA1PULxxxxx 21-Nov-2022: Priority Code changed from 19 to 02 by Lincoln 21-Nov-2022: Subwoofer delete confirmed; $250 price reduction 10-Jan-2023: Production delayed until week of 23-Jan-2023 17-Jan-2023: Production delayed (again) until week of 06-Feb-2023 E-mail updates from Lincoln Motor Company never say why these delays are happening, but at least we know they're paying attention.
  5. Ordered a 2023 Corsair last September. Production was scheduled for this week (week of Jan. 9); now delayed by two weeks until week of Jan. 23. FWIW, here's timeline so far: 21-Sep-2022: Order placed at local Lincoln dealership 21-Sep-2022: Order confirmation email received from Lincoln 17-Nov-2022: Scheduled for production week of 09-Jan-2023 17-Nov-2022: VIN assigned: 5LMCJ2DA1PULxxxxx 21-Nov-2022: Priority Code changed from 19 to 02 by Lincoln 21-Nov-2022: Subwoofer delete confirmed; $250 price reduction 10-Jan-2023: Production delayed until week of 23-Jan-2023
  6. UPDATE: My 2022 Aviator finally arrived at my dealership yesterday (10/4)! Pending timely and successful dealer prep, I expect to take delivery tomorrow (10/6). BTW, the Lincoln Order Tracking System and the dealer's Vehicle Visibility Report indicated status as "awaiting shipment" since 9/19 -- even when the vehicle was in transit. It remained "awaiting shipment" until my Aviator actually arrived at the dealership. Yesterday, the Lincoln Order Tracking System milestone dates updated upon arrival of my Aviator. Here's what it says now: Order Confirmed: 3/30/201 In Production: 9/9/2021 Built: 1/1/1980 (yes, more than 40 years ago) Shipped: 9/19/202 Delivery: 10/4/2021 For sure, something's hinky with the tracking system. But all's well that ends well.

  8. Just wanted to express my appreciation for the valuable vehicle-locater service you provide to Blue Oval Forum members. Turns out my 2022 Aviator shipped on 9/19, arrived at the local railroad freight depot here on 9/28, and was delivered to my dealer this morning (10/4). FWIW, here's a photo taken just after my (very dirty) Aviator was unloaded from the car carrier at the dealership:
  9. I can confirm the Lincoln order-status tracking system isn't working. According to the system, my 2022 Aviator status has been stuck on "Your vehicle has been built and we are arranging shipment to your dealer" since 9/19/2021. I'm fortunate to have contacts within the shipping industry and by providing my Aviator's VIN, I was able to obtain status of "Shipped 9/19/201" from Norfolk Southern Railroad. Also got the rail-car number on which my Aviator is riding and used the Norfolk Southern Touch-Trace system to confirm that my Aviator arrived and was unloaded at my local railroad freight depot on 9/29/2021. I know that United Road Logistics handles transport of vehicles from the railroad freight depot to my dealer, so I called my contact there today (10/1/2021). Again using my Aviator's VIN, I was able to confirm that my Aviator is awaiting pickup at the local railroad freight depot. Without a doubt, the Lincoln order-status tracking system isn't working (at least for my Aviator). What's more, the dealership's Vehicle Visibility System also shows "Awaiting shipment" as the current status and does not provide a rail-car number as it should. I hope this info is helpful to those of you who are in the dark while waiting patiently for delivery of your 2022 Aviator.
  10. Please tell me there's been some progress on this one: Dealer Code: L12487 Order Number: W001 VIN: 5LM5J7XC4NGL01941 Make my day, Mr. Cyberdman!
  11. Hoping for a good-news update on this one: Dealer Code: L12487 Order Number: W001 VIN: 5LM5J7XC4NGL01941 Thanks for helping me "manage the wait," cyberdman.
  12. Update: I received an e-mail message from Lincoln Motor Company at 6:24 a.m. EDT today that announced my 2022 Aviator "has been built." This is the only e-mail I've received from Lincoln since August 5. The Lincoln Order Tracking System now predicts delivery by October 15. Before today, the delivery date was October 9. In addition, the Order Tracking System says that my Aviator was In Production on 9/9/2021 and Built on 10/15/2021. Don't know how they can say my Aviator "has been built" then specify a Built date that's in the future.
  13. I'm experiencing a similar routine with my special-order 2022 Aviator! My window-sticker Blend Date was 9/7, and according to the Lincoln Order Tracking website, the vehicle was built in Chicago on 9/9. Current status is it's "...being manufactured at one of our factories." Status hasn't changed since 9/9. Estimated delivery is 10/9 -- exactly one month after it was built -- but that sounds like Lincoln's scheduling system is just guessing at delivery. I also called the Lincoln Concierge and was told my 2022 Aviator has been produced but is still at the factory. My dealer shared exactly the same info with me yesterday, and cyberdman from here at Blue Oval Forums kindly provided the following status update: "In Production - Produced Ford Chicago Assembly, IL Sep-09-2021, 00:00 EDT. Nothing after that unfortunately." Nobody seems to know why nothing has happened to my Aviator since 9/9, but it appears that aviator47 is in the same boat.
  14. Any progress to report on this one? Dealer Code: L12487 Order Code: W001 VIN: 5LM5J7XC4NGL01941 Thank you, cyberdman! You're the best!
  15. I ordered my 2022 Aviator on March 30. Since then, I have been tracking order status to the best of my ability and with the assistance of cyberdman here at Blue Oval Forums. According to cyberdman's most recent order-status update, "It says it was scheduled to start production on 09/07, but that is it, nothing more yet. It doesn't say it was started even." This morning, I checked status online and discovered that expected delivery is now October 9, but there's still no indication this Aviator has been produced. My situation is similar to that of aviator47 in the post above. Perhaps there's a communications glitch between the Chicago Assembly Plant and the Lincoln order-status system? FWIW, here's a summary of my order status and timeline thus far: 30-Mar-2021: Order confirmed via e-mail from Lincoln 30-Jun-2021: In Order Processing - Unscheduled - Clean Mar-30-2021, 13:58 EDT 26-Jul-2021: Confirmed no change in status 29-Jul-2021: Scheduled for production week of 27-Sep-2021 (e-mail from Lincoln) 29-Jul-2021: Assigned VIN: 5LM5J7XC4NGLxxxxx 05-Aug-2021: Production week changed to week of 06-Sep-2021 (e-mail from Lincoln) 01-Sep-2021: Window sticker generated 01-Sep-2021: Blend date assigned; production scheduled for 07-Sep-2021 10-Sep-2021: Order status now indicates expected delivery on 09-Oct-2021
  16. I appreciate the update, cyberdman! I hope this means they're building it very slowly, double-checking every nut and bolt. ?
  17. Hoping there's an update: Dealer Code: L12487 Order Code: W001 VIN: 5LM5J7XC4NGL01941 Thank you!
  18. FWIW, here's the timeline so far for my 2022 Aviator Reserve. 30-Mar-2021: Order placed at local Lincoln dealership 30-Mar-2021: Order confirmed via e-mail from Lincoln Motor Company 30-Jun-2021: Confirmed status -- In Order Processing - Unscheduled - Clean 29-Jul-2021: Scheduled for production week of 27-Sep-2021 (e-mail from Lincoln) 29-Jul-2021: Assigned VIN: 5LM5J7XC4NGLxxxxx 05-Aug-2021: Production week changed to week of 06-Sep-2021 (e-mail from Lincoln) Hopefully, this info will be helpful to someone.
  19. I have three (3) Massachusetts green plates, each mounted on the rear of a different registered and insured vehicle (2020 Ford Explorer, 2002 Ford Thunderbird, 1965 Rambler American). All of my green plates are original, in excellent condition, and easily readable from a distance of 60 feet. Last month (June) My 2002 T-Bird passed Massachusetts safety inspection with its single green plate, and the inspector didn't say anything about green plates needing to be returned. In fact, Page 8 of the current Passenger Plates Booklet published by the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles shows a photo of a green license plate and says, "The Passenger Normal Plate features either a white background with red lettering; or a white background with green lettering." Here's a link to Massachusetts Passenger Plates Booklet: ENVIRONMENTAL (mass.gov) I believe there was a story circulating several years ago about Massachusetts green plates needing to be returned, but that story is false.
  20. Any news? Dealer Code: L12487 Order Code: W001 Thank you for what you do!
  21. Over the past several years, I custom-ordered three new Explorer Platinum models: a 2016, a 2018, and a 2020. I live in Massachusetts, and Ford insists that each of my Explorers be equipped with a factory installed front license-plate bracket at the factory (Chicago Assembly Plant). For my Explorers, I have one of the older "green" plates from way back when Massachusetts issued only one (rear) plate per vehicle. I've kept the plate in mint condition, and Massachusetts allows its use as long as the numerals are readable from a distance of 60 feet. When I take delivery of a new Explorer, I carefully drill-out the plastic rivets that hold the front plate bracket to the bumper and remove the bracket. I plug the small holes in the bumper with plastic plugs painted to match my Explorer's exterior color. I keep the bracket so I can include it when I trade-in or sell the Explorer.
  22. Ordered on March 30, 2021: Dealer Code: L12487 Order Code: W001 Thanks!
  23. Thank you for sharing this helpful info, Mr. Capades!
  24. FWIW, I spoke with my Lincoln dealer's sales manager (John) today, and we talked about Ford's enhanced Customer Order Verification Program (COVP). According to John, this program is available to Lincoln dealerships but applies only to unscheduled orders placed on or after April 1, 2021. My order for a 2022 Aviator was submitted to Lincoln Motor Company on March 30, so my order does not require further verification via the enhanced Customer Order Verification Program. John went on to say how challenging it is to conduct business with new-car inventory in such short supply. He said he has customers with vehicles coming off-lease soon, and he has very few new vehicles to offer as replacements.
  25. Thanks for your input, Blwnsmoke. I do have a copy of the DORA, and I received e-mail confirmation of my unscheduled (retail) order from Lincoln within hours of order submission on March 30. So, I'm confident my order was accepted. My understanding is that Ford wants dealers to verify unscheduled retail orders to prove those orders are retail orders instead of stock orders. Perhaps Lincoln dealers are more trustworthy and don't have to participate in the 2021 Customer Order Verification Program (COVP).
