  1. I can't stop thinking of those old polygon graphic video games from the 80's when I see this truck.
  2. Paying a subscription to use a device in the car work is total nonsense. Toyota just added another reason to not buy their cars. I never bought satellite radio for that reason too.
  3. The Fords are probably there due to their support of Rivian, kind of making them an "in law" of the Amazon/Rivian marriage.
  4. I can actually see why they did that with the tail lights. Mini's styling is kind of painted in a corner by having to look like a Mini. If they change too much, it would harm the brand as so much of it's identity is based on how it is shaped. The lights are a styling element that doesn't rock the boat too much, but can easily identify this as a new model.
  5. https://www.yahoo.com/autos/chrysler-airflow-ev-concept-previews-173400488.html This seems to make more sense than the Dodge idea.
  6. I think of the character Syndrome from the Incredibles film when he wanted to give everybody super powers... "Because when everyone is super, no one is" This is why I think Dodge will fail. Dodge makes its way by being a super fast car, but every BEV can easily do this, and a BEV Dodge will never stand out by just being as fast as every other car.
  7. I believe it is due to Dodge focusing for the past 10 years on just the three products that feature the Hemi. The focus was so much on gas engined "hemi" performance that their vision became a one horse show. I think it will be difficult for Dodge fans to accept anything else other than that. If they were to go electric for super performance, Tesla is already there and they are more established for that. Stellantis just has too many brands including multiple brands with one to three products and a narrow focus for each. A brand with a full lineup like Jeep can transition easier to that as it won't be all at once.
  8. But then again, driving a Tesla is exactly what changed my opinion on EVs.
  9. They probably just did the funky doors so the audience can get a better look inside. Lincoln did the same thing with a navigator concept, except the whole side of the car was a gull wing door. I think this is just to show some styling ideas that will be incorporated into an EV Kia Soul.
  10. Badge engineering at its worst. Me too styling with really bad looking grilles (or "not grilles" due to being EVs) as well.
  11. I like it, despite the roofline giving away its Honda Civic origin. The thing I wonder about this is that is this a car that belongs in a luxury brand? Or would this be better as a Honda?
  12. Agreed, they will keep the customers transitioning away from the Mazda 6 to CUVs. With the 6 gone, this and CX-5 will be the go to products.
  13. I think if that were sold here, the grille would be all chrome. I think chrome is a more American taste and not an item of importance to other regions of the world. I really like that car and wish things were different and it was built here.
  14. I agree, but because Ford and Lincoln are going to be "all SUVs all the time", then Continental must go on a range topping product, or not be used.
  15. I'm starting to think that the extended wheelbase of the Aviator should have coach doors and take the name Continental. But I think that name is being saved for a range topping BEV.
  16. Thank you, I was trying to remember what they called it. I wish Ford made a new sprint edition for the newer lineup. I would go with Mustang (of course) Ranger, Maverick, F-150, and Escape. Bronco and sport already have too many editions, so not for those.
  17. I think the most bizarre thing about my mother's Maverick was that there was no glove box, just a shelf where it would normally be. Her Maverick was also that white with blue racing stripes and red pinstripes. Like this:
  18. Most people don't realize that in that show, Baltar's second in command, Lucifer was voiced by the same Actor who played DR. Smith in Lost in space. I'd always imagine that Lucifer off screen was yelling at the Cylons, "you bumbling bolt!" and stuff like that all day.
  19. The Lexus grilles remind me of the red enemies in the Atari Tempest video game.
  20. It is a "look at me" grille, followed by the most forgettable, derivative CUV ever. So, it's "Oh my god" followed by Zzzzzzzz! The interior is good, but not great by luxury car standards. The Jeep interiors posted earlier are better than this.
  21. I pretty much find myself saying this about almost every CUV as well with this. The Edge was a bit more sporty, but this looks a little more expensive but overall "Zzzzzz".
  22. I actually say a Bronco almost like the one you ordered driving on the street in MA. It looks a bigger than the pictures made it out to look, but it is definitely smaller than a Hummer or the OJ Simpson Bronco. It is a lot more imposing and capable than the Wrangler and even the Hummer H2 of the past (that is of course based on looks.) If it were a kid, it would beat up the 90's Bronco and take its lunch money.
  23. Renegade has different body panels. I was trying to serve the purpose of saving a brand that needed help (Chrysler) and not bringing over another brand no one asked for (Fiat). I hope Stellantis learned from this and brings their European products over and places them within the brands that already exist here.
