Yes this could have be popular with fleets. In construction alone this would be driven by utility locators, safety guys, QA, estimstors, a runabout for office people that need to run to site. You'd be amazed how many construction pickups don't haul anything.

This will have the same reaction as calling a Holden Commodore a GTO

Doesn't look that far off from.an Avalanche

So they're saying that the final Mach-E and Bronco Sport were more influenced by Farley and not so much by office furniture guy? I can buy that. Also, the article implies that Bill Ford Jr. is more than just a figurehead.
Fords Chairmen have always been involved.
Unless things go south then the CEO takes the fall.

I was under the impression that part of the reason the TC was smaller was to avoid the EPA Footprint issues that the E-150 had. The Metris is about 202 inches long, the TC is 190 and the old E-150 was 216
Another possibility is that Ford could possibly do a 3 row CUV thingy for NA based on the TC/Maverick/Bronco Sport..or maybe an Ecosport replacement?
The TC is smaller because it is smaller. It makes a convenient small package for light deliveries and tradespeople doing work in large cities. See NV200 and Promaster City.
The T-150 replaced the E-150.

I thought it was boring....Leno just rambled on trying to impress Farley and Farley seemed bored with Leno's thoughts. I was hoping they would at least drive the Mach E and instead Leno got in and Farley stayed outside and barely talked. What a waste of time.
Leno needs to tread carefully and not get too technical. He is trying to appeal to a larger audience than just gearheads. Even Farley had to rein himself in when he knew he was getting too technical.
I think it was a well balanced segment where Ford got their news out with it becoming an infomercial.

It's not offensive, but certainly doesn't scream "buy me"

Apparently, Tata is also worried about the Bronco.

Unless they are repurposing an existing truck plant to EVs.

There is supposed to be a Ford/Lincoln BEV crossover coming in about 2 years (I *think*) on a new skateboard chassis. There is differing news about whether they will be build in Ohio or OAC.
OAC is 100% confirmed for multiple EV "models"

Wow you guys voted already? It was a week before we started voting. You need to factor in the exchange rate. Canadians measure a week differently.

Not impressed with recent VW styling. They seem to be borrowing a lot of elements from other manufacturers.

All of these startups are great. Too bad none of them, including Tesla, have figured out manufacturing and supply chain.

I remember a few years back-I think even before the Bronco was leaked in UAW documents in 2015, that Peter D was talking there was at least 2-3 companies including Ford (which was the Bronco) developing "Wrangler Fighters" at the time.
Hummer H4 was planned before that.

That would make some sense... but with the bronco starting at 29k, could ford actually build and sell an Everest for 19k? Or maybe the better question is, would they want to?
What happens when you produce a T6 SUV that doesn't have all of the extensive offloading features of the Bronco? You get a vehicles costing less.

Why do people want Ford to sell the Everest here? You want a less capable Bronco?
If anything, Ford needs to sell the Bronco wherever they sell the Everest.Yes, at 10k less than a comparably equipped Bronco. Not everyone wants a BOF utility that can scale K2 and ford through Lake Superior.
Kind of like how we have a Ranger because not everyone needs the capability of
a Super Duty

Canadians pull over and let you pass if you’re driving faster than them. In the US we just block traffic and say screw you. Pretty much the same way with masks.
No they don't. Toronto has some of the rudest, selfish, entitled and oblivious drivers in all of North America. There is more passing to the right than to the left on most highways.
-
Special edition? Like they are having trouble selling these?
-
No surprise. They just don't sell well. I wonder if the vans will go next.

16 cupholders. What more could you ask for??
Most cupholders I ever had, was 10 in a 2004 XLT Supercrew.
1 in each door, 2 in the dash pullout, 2 in the front of the console and 2 in the rear of the console.
10 cupholders for a vehicle that seated 5.

Lol. The same Elon that put his tech out into the ether for everyone to use now says the opposite.

I'd bet that a healthy number of crew cab F150s are used as little more than shopping trolleys.
Not every pickup hauls lumber. Many contractors will use these to pull trailers with their tools and material.
Not to mention that a Supercrew with 4' of length can still haul a pallet with 500lbs of items or a 36" reel of cable weighing the same.
These buyers know exactly what they are buying and how it will fit their needs.

I would imagine this would also get the TT V6 they announced 2 years ago as Toyota phases out V8s. Also wouldn't be surprised to see a hybrid option soon.
