The 2.3 only has 310 hp in the Mustang.  The Ranger only has 270, right?  So, the 2.7 would provide significantly more hp.  Akirby has already mentioned the torque difference.

1988 460 was only rated at a little over 200hp and I guaran-fricking-tee it will out haul a 2.3 any day of the week.

Quoting 4000rpm HP numbers as an end-all, be-all is really naive and shows an unfamiliarity with trucks.

It’s based off of the Isuzu D Max, which looks like this.01_22.jpgzw-d-max-4_720x540.jpg

I usually like Mazda interiors, but the Isuzu’s interior looks better to me.

Does make it a sister vehicle to the Colorado/Canyon?

You guys/they are seeing letters that aren't there.

The "E" that is beeing "seen" is just a reflection of the surroundings that happens to look like an E and is not really there.  You can see the same effect on the right of the N.  Ford doesn't put their letters that close.

We're just seeing a Platinum trim, and you're only seeing the N.

Look at how Ford spaces out the lettering on the current Platinum for reference:

Notice how the N is in roughly the same position below the (wider on the new model) tailgate latch area:

You can also tell it's a higher-end truck with the full LED taillights.

Reflections would show a backwards N and E. Those are not backwards and not a reflection.

As far as the letter spacing, we dont know what it will be. New truck. New styling elements.

    I guess you don't have a family.

Sell your home?  Take your kids out of school?  Make your spouse quit her/his job?  Leave the very desirable San Fransisco area?  Just so you can follow Elon to Nevada or Texas?  Really?  You would do this?

People have been moving for work for hundreds of years.

You're forgetting one major thing. Those profits from the Titian and Tundra, don't stay in the US. I have no idea where Ram goes. Titan and Tundra are both bottom of the barrel as far as being competitive. The only redeeming factor for Toyota is you get the quality (real or perceived) of Toyota. The Titan is the value pick. Neither sell well.

Profits go to shareholders, whom live all over the world, including the US.

That also applies to parts manufacturers. Well, except the Chinese parts manufacturers that Ford, GM and Fiat like to buy from.
