  1. Our 2010 Flex was a great vehicle. We have about the same mileage. We kept it for my son, but decided to give him our 2015 Edge instead, so the Flex is going to be donated (it needs some work, and is not worth fixing to sell).
  2. Agreed. A fixed/hard top Bronco option would be a great addition imho.
  3. Holy cow is the site snappy now. Thanks again!
  4. And it must be BOF with a V8, preferably the 4.6, but the 302 will do. RWD with a manual. None of this Coyote stuff.
  5. My wife has been happy with her ‘23 Maverick (non-hybrid). The engine sounds a little too much like a sewing machine to me, but I’m also used to driving an EV at this point.
  6. Thank you! Any thought of offering subscriptions? The sites I am most active in disable ads if you are a subscriber. The site does seem fast!
  7. lol Search for allot and you can see what his current nom de plume likely is.
  8. I don’t trust people who don’t know the difference between a lot and allot.
  9. Recent Stelantis concept vs reality.
  10. I’ve had park assist on three different vehicles since 2015 and used it exactly zero times.
  11. My son noticed we spent the bulk of our time at Ford. Stellantis skipping the show was a boon for Ford. The Wrangler driving course is always popular. This year they got everyone in Broncos instead. The GTD is gorgeous. I want a Switchgear. The Lightning Platinum Black shows fingerprints like mad. The Green/Gold appearance package on the Mach-E looks good in real life. The Mach-E Rally is wacky. The new Ranger looks great, especially Raptor, though the interior looks dated. The Explorer is underwhelming. The Expedition is a dinosaur. No Lincoln!! Would have thought they’d have a Nautilus at least. Elsewhere: I really like the new Landcruiser. I don’t see how it doesn’t just replace the 4Runner. Lexus GX is pretty nice too. Nee SantaFe is impressive. VW Bus is really nice too. Honda Prologue and Acura ZDX look ok. Would hate to get a model based on a platform from another manufacturer that the brand doesn’t intend to use going forward. The “Chicago Drives Electric” area was popular too, and featured BEV from virtually all the manufacturers. Including Tesla. Was surprised to see Tesla participate. They had a Cybertruck there. It’s every bit as ugly in real life. The show seemed to be half the size it usually is. (Was only in one side of McCormick Place).
  12. We ordered my wife’s Maverick, it took 13 months, but we paid MSRP, and had no markups. Bought from the same salesman as I bought my last five Fords. Paid MSRP on the Lightning and Mach-E too. Wife is very happy with the Maverick. It’s fun to drive (hers is the 2.5/Non-Hybrid). The engine noise is weird, but other than that its a very good value.
  13. Losing the tax rebate likely hurt. Love my Lightning, but my Mach-E was the best Ford I’ve owned.
  14. Haven’t they said the were prioritizing the hybrid for the PIU?
  15. You must not spend much time on the multiple Maverick forums or Facebook groups. Lots of passionate fans of the Maverick. Were very happy with my wife’s Mav.
  16. The Maverick is longer than the BS. I don’t think you can offer a Maverick SUV AND the BS. They’re too similar, and the Mav being bigger would cannibalize BS sales. In my opinion it’s not “Bronco” enough to justify additional cost, and even if the interior is nicer, Americans equate size to value, so they’re not going to pay more for a BS than a Maverick SUV.
  17. And then when they launched the all new CD4 model in 2015 they kept MFT as sync 3 wasn’t ready yet, and then they switched for the 2016 model. Our 2015 is MFT and I’m tempted to swap it out to a sync 3 system so my son has carplay.
  18. The 24 also has a heat pump for heat, so it’s not like it’s a straight carry over.
  19. Need sunglasses out of my wife’s car? Keypad. It comes in handy. It’s even more important with phone as key. I’ve not used the fob, except for service, since the day I brought my Lightning home (and same for my Mach-E prior). The keypad gives me confidence that if my phone dies, breaks, or is stolen/lost I can still drive home.
  20. Fords been removing it lately, which is a shame. All four of my cars have it. It’s one of those little things that make a Ford a Ford. https://fordauthority.com/2023/09/2024-ford-escape-drops-securicode-keyless-entry-keypad/#:~:text=Ford's SecuriCode keyless entry keypad, those that purchase the latter
  21. There are a couple of people swapping them from the Escape to Maverick on the forums.
