  1. We are not running any saturday production at this time. so the only time to see it run is during the week
  2. Yeah, glad they let us out when it was coming down the hardest. I took my time leaving....I've seen our co-workers drive
  3. Yeah, job 2 went good tonight. I noticed when we started up we were not doing many 150" wheel base ( 1 in the first hour I believe), but as the night went on we were doing a lot. I also noticed a flex fuel lariat go down the line that had "car show" printed on the travel ticket, wonder if we will see it at NAIAS. It would be nice to see three of our trucks at the show. Not to knock the other two plants, it's just a pride thing. Dtpm, have had a chace to see the new 20" rim/tire option on the Licoln? Now that is a sweet ass rim. I put a few of them on tonight. I did not get a chance to see the tri-coat, but I heard it looks real sharp. Just one question.....if the 5.5' bed S.cab is 133....and the 5.5' bed crewcab is 139.......and the 6.5' bed S.cab is 145......How come the 6.5' bed on the crewcab has a wheelbase of 150". You would think it would be 151". Guess Ford just likes the sound of a 150" F-150.
  4. Well I posted something smilar to this before everything crashed. I guess you could say I saw it coming. Well anyway, what I posted before was that process of building cars and trucks is a numbers game. No matter who is building it, you are going to have 2-5% of all production that has problems. So therfor the more you make the higher number of problems. You are seeing this with toyota because they have been pushing so hard to become number one. I say let them become number one. They can have everything that goes with it, especially the recalls. Look at the numbers, Dodge is number four now and have had only 750,000 recalls this year.
  5. Well I was not saying our plant was number 1, I was just saying congrats to ALL of the truck plants for the TRUCK being named #1. :P
  6. As far as I know we have been running good. We have been hitting 60/hour every day but one for the last 3 weeks now.I know we are still running two-tones. But we are getting ready to put a new tri-coat white on the Lincoln, so that might be sending some two-tones to you. We have been getting a lot of Harley's added to the mix lately also. we are doing a steady 9.2 every day and getting close to 500 a shift. All in all I think we are starting to get the bugs out of the machines and have become a lot more productive. On a side note....congrats to all of us for the F-150 being named #1 in J.D.Powers initial quality!
  7. :o The "United" states of America is dead. Because this country is no longer "united", It will hence forth be known as the "Corporate States of America". It will be lead by coporate greed and corrupt politicians . The rich will get richer off the backs of the poor who get poorer while the middle class fights amongst it's self for the table scraps of the rich. O.K. I'm done venting now
  8. Well here is one possibility I see (THIS IS JUST MY OPINION NOTHING MORE). We have been told that the company only needs 5 shifts to build the F-150. Dearborn is flex so if it has a frame we can build it. We end up with the ranger and Michigan truck (which is on life suppoprt right now) gets the other half of ranger production. Again, just my opinion but it does seem very feasible.
  9. :D :D :D congrats to ALL of the F-150 plants ( NAP,K.C. and Dearborn). 2006 F-150 was listed #1 in J.D. Powers Initial quality. Keep up the great work!! :D :D :D
  10. careful, you might make K.C. and NAP mad and they will tell us to go back to making Mustangs  But seriously, congrats to ALL three truck plants. 2006 F-150: #1 in J.D. Powers initial quality. Great work to all the F-150 plants :D :D :D
  11. Don't get me wrong, I have a lot of respect for the higher seniority. I just don't think it should be the sole basis for keeping your job IF you never show up to do it. So yes, I hope something is done in 06 about the problem of attendance. There are deadbeats all through the seniority and none of them realize how good they have it. They would rather "work" the system than work thier job, and that brings all of us down. Do I like having to work afternoons and see my family on the weekends only? No, but I still drag my butt to work and do the job or jobs I get paid for. Why can't everyone?
  12. How about this one....when the layoffs hit, you don't do it by seniority you do it by Discipline ,attendance and how many jobs an Individual knows. That way you are left with the cream of the crop that wants to work. I mean can you really tell me that a guy with 20 years who knows 1 job and misses 1-2 days every week is better than a guy with 10 years who knows 7-8 jobs and shows up every day. O.K. let the attacks begin.
  13. I am so with you on that. We use to have 14 people for 8 jobs on my team. Management shifted people around and now we have 10. We only have 1 deadbeat now and I will be so glad when he is gone. This guy has missed on avg. 1-2 days a week. Part of me does fear 2007 because I only have 5 years in(November 13), I do not and will not ever buy into doing less than 100% of my job.
  14. Hey Chubby, the lions lost(I know, no shit) so does that mean Atlanta get's the new cars now?  keep it real my friend
  15. O.K...thank's. one more question....would there be any difference in $$$/hour between someone with an HMO (like myself) and someone who has the "blue cross gold card" that covers everything? I more or less have the same kind of coverage I had at my old job (grocery store) and I have no complaints about the HMO (I have HAP).
  16. :D :D :D and I also say you are welcome :D :D :D
  17. O.K....just Curious , I'm not trying to start shit with anyone....but where does this $65/hour crap come from. I'm at top pay ($27) and if you add what Ford paid for my benefits you get $35/hour, thats wage and benefits combined.
  18. On behalf of all the hard working people at DTP...you are welcome.
  19. http://employees.ford.com You will have to register to use the site.
  20. Well last year the final three was all big 3, so thay had to give it to an import company this year. Otherwise all the nuts in california were going to cancel thier scrip's :D
  21. Damn it's good to back! You can only argue with idiot's at the detroit news auto forum for so long. You show them facts and all they can do is attack you for a typo and say it's proof that all UAW workers are "stupid" and "uneducated". As far as rumors or news....hell I get it here so let's start posting people
