  1. I don’t have the answer - but if you buy the parts at your local Ford or Lincoln dealer, using your VIN, you will be assured of getting the right answer and parts.
  2. In an acknowledgement of poor quality, Ford has announced it will replace the hardtops on the two and four door Bronco models: https://www.detroitnews.com/story/business/autos/ford/2021/08/12/bronco-bug-ford-replace-all-hardtop-roofs-fix-quality-issues/8111220002/ and https://www.ford.com/support/how-tos/owner-resources/bronco/bronco-roof-frequently-asked-questions/#1
  3. Road and Track magazine is reporting ongoing quality issues with the Bronco hardtop: https://www.roadandtrack.com/news/a37067232/ford-bronco-quality-issues/
  4. Since you did not authorize the change, which is not related to the safety recall software update, I would return to the dealer and request that they return the feature that you like (and paid for with the car).
  5. Kia ranks higher than Lincoln in the 2021 J.D. Power dependability study: https://www.jdpower.com/business/press-releases/2021-us-vehicle-dependability-study-vds
  6. Ford is facing 1.3 billion dollars in penalties regarding the importation of the Ford Transit Connect vehicle: https://www.freep.com/story/money/cars/ford/2021/06/03/ford-transit-connect-van-import-penalty/7524765002/
  7. Ford has discovered an electrical problem with 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E models built on or before February 3, 2021: https://www.freep.com/story/money/cars/ford/2021/04/09/mustang-mach-e-2021-battery-problem/7153778002/
  8. Or - no recalls? There is not a current culture of quality with Ford. Recently, there have been safety recalls for the 2021 Bronco Sport (2), the 20221 Mach-E, tens of thousands of 2021 F-150 trucks, some Super Duty trucks, and vehicles built but not placed in the delivery pipeline because they are being stored for “quality checks” (translation: something wasn’t manufactured correctly). Ford and the UAW massively botched the launch of the 2020 Explorer, Aviator and Police Interceptor models. It was so bad, Ford acknowledged the problem in a filing with the SEC, after trucking thousands of new vehicles to another state for employees to try to fix the problems. Ford was very coy with the media (and its customers) with the problems and defects. After buying GM and Dodge vehicles for years, I ordered and bought my first Ford; a 2015 Ford Expedition Limited 4x4. It was delivered with defects, and numerous problems have appeared. However, there have been no safety recalls. I have no faith currently that Ford can manufacture a new vehicle properly - and the numerous safety recalls just reinforce my beliefs.
  9. Ford has issued a safety recall for certain 2021 Mach-E models to repair subframe fasteners that may not be tightened properly: https://media.ford.com/content/fordmedia/fna/us/en/news/2021/03/05/ford-motor-company-to-address-subframe-bolt-issue.html Some of the vehicles have been delivered to customers, and the bulk of the affected vehicles have not been sold.
  10. I’d rather they be proactive with initial build quality - instead of playing the “repair the mistakes” game (safety recall).
  11. I have a 2015 Expedition Limited 4x4, with the ambient lighting, adjustable pedals and the rain sensing wipers. I found the ambient lighting to be a waste of money and that the rain sensing wipers worked poorly - so bad, that I turned the feature off. Although I am the only driver of the vehicle, I do feel the adjustable pedals are a good feature - and agree that you should not have to order a package with the Vista roof to get the features you desire and are willing to pay for.
  12. Ford has issued a second safety recall for some 2021 Bronco Sport models, as an incorrect front lower control arm was installed on the affected vehicles: https://www.freep.com/story/money/cars/ford/2021/02/26/2021-ford-bronco-sportsrecall-risk-rollover/6829320002/
  13. Ford has issued a safety recall involving 2020 and 2021 Super Duty truck models due to an improperly installed windshield: https://www.detroitnews.com/story/business/autos/ford/2021/02/22/ford-recall-thousands-2021-f-150-s-super-duty-trucks/4541119001/
  14. Ford has issued a safety recall involving tens of thousands of 2021 F-150 truck models due to an improperly installed windshield: https://www.detroitnews.com/story/business/autos/ford/2021/02/22/ford-recall-thousands-2021-f-150-s-super-duty-trucks/4541119001/
  15. Ford has issued a safety recall for some 2021 Bronco Sport models because the rear suspension has missing bolts and/or improperly torqued fasteners: https://www.freep.com/story/money/cars/ford/2021/02/19/ford-recall-bronco-sport-suvs-ranger-mustang-fusion/4510412001/
  16. I’m curious - what updates do you want? Is there a problem with the current version of the Sync software? Thanks.
  17. I bought my 1999 C5 coupe new - also with all options except magnesium wheels, block heater and the power telescoping wheel with memory package (on constraint when ordered). It was arctic white with the firethorn red interior, with the A4 transmission and both tops. I ordered the vehicle in September 1998, and almost ordered the pewter color with a black interior.. The OEM Goodyear run-flats were terrible with noise and harshness. When they wore out, I replaced them with Michelin run-flats and found them to be MUCH quieter and compliant. The Goodyears were rated for 200 miles at zero pressure, but the Michelin run-flats were rated for 50 miles at zero pressure. I bought my first Ford, a 2015 Ford Expedition Limited 4x4, and was disappointed with the initial and long-term quality. Ford has a problem on their hands with building new vehicles without defects when they are delivered new to the customer. Currently, the Bronco Sport has been delayed, there are thousands of F-150 models being held in holding lots for quality checks, and the Mustang Mach-E has been placed on a stop-ship order due to quality issues. Good luck with your new vehicle. It’s a shame you had so many problems - but considerable media coverage I’ve seen stated there were NUMEROUS problems with the 2020 Explorer and Aviator. You would think Ford and Lincoln would bend over backwards to ensure their customer’s new cars are fixed right, because they knew of the many issues.
  18. I’ve followed several of your posts. A luxury vehicle should not have so many quality issues (or any vehicle for that matter). What vehicle did you replace it with?

  21. You could order a replacement cap from your dealer, using the VIN to ensure the correct cap, and then examine the backside of it to determine how it attaches to the mirror assembly. I’d bet that it simply snaps on.
