  1. Amen to that. My 21 sounded like one of those kei cars from Japan. Bought FA1Z-13832-A level 3 dual horn which sounded like a real horn and swapped it out in about 10 minutes.
  2. Thank you very much!!! I really appreciate it. I'll check back around that time.
  3. Good Evening, Looking for the status of my order. Sales code F24015 Order Code 1000 No VIN yet. Thanks!
  4. It might. I am curious though exactly quality is affected by this. Only reason I am thinking that way is they still are producing it, just a week or two off here and there from what I see. I would hope that small amount of time would not let their skillset lapse? Plus I admit I don't know a thing about manufacturing but would they at least finish building all the vehicles in the line before shutting down? Or do they leave a painted body hanging on the line and when they start up marry the body/chassis? It would seem it would make sense to see every vehicle finished before shutting down otherwise something might be missed? If anything, I tend to think that the quality lapses are because they are rushing things trying to produce as much as they can. I could be off base on this though.
  5. I was trying to find that out also but it seems that as the poster below said, only the Rouge (F150) plant. I was hoping they did offer FR as I have a car on order and would have loved to try and get a tour on the day it was scheduled to be built. GM has a new option with the C8 Z06 where you can help build your engine. THAT would be so cool if you could do that with the GT500.
  6. No different in SFL where they all are getting jacked up on big tires. Probably spend 10-15k just in suspension and tires on top of the 80k price tag. Some even doing the Carolina squat now (which looks stupid by the way IMO).
  7. Here is what my wife saw when she looked at my timeline. Yes the car was somewhere in there. When I parked it, I knew exactly which direction and street I took. I had every intention to only have a drink or two but when it's top shelf stuff I like AND free, I found I drank more than I planned. However 4 hours later and the alcohol combined with a different entrance, lets just say my navigation skills would have been less than stellar. I would have eventually found it I am sure but not after a few tries probably. Wife wasn't having it walking around for blocks in heels. Just saying Google doesn't always record the exact spot your phone has been. Especially if you have never been there before. I was just happy the app simply let you send the vehicle location to maps and turn on walking mode to direct my wife to the car. Since she was sober she was driving home anyway. Literally by sending the location followed the breadcrumbs right to it.
  8. Ford management said they wanted the next gen to relive some of the "nostalgic" muscle car hood scoops in the new design. Not realizing they were dealing with millennials, the designers went back to the 80's hood scoops for inspiration as that is what they thought of as "nostalgic.".
  9. If you go to the rail line and take a picture of it traveling down the line, I would be impressed lol.
  10. If accurate, no AWD for next gen Mustang: https://fordauthority.com/2022/04/s650-mustang-will-not-offer-any-type-of-awd-system-exclusive/ Could this be deflection on the part of Ford. A rep recently said no AWD along with promising a V8 was still going to be an option and admitted a manual is likely to be eventually nixed (but not totally if demand was high enough). If it is true that the next gen is based on the CD6 platform (nee Explorer), it could be that many speculated or assumed AWD would be a part of it because the platform is capable of it. But remember you can get an Explorer Hybrid in RWD only so AWD is not a given if it is a hybrid. If the next gen is based on the CD6 platform, I wonder how long before someone (maybe even Ford) transplants the V8 from the Mustang into an Explorer.
  11. Is this still true or has it been fixed after all this time?
  12. He did the same thing on Edmunds. https://forums.edmunds.com/discussion/68042/ford/explorer/2021-ford-explorer-issues-quality-is-no-longer-with-ford I feel bad if he got a "lemon" if it truly is. Given the pandemic's effect on many things, from parts, to labor, changes in manufacturing pressures and supply, etc. etc., it's gonna happen. The old adage still applies when you make thousands and thousands of an item, it is possible to make one not up to spec. However, most of the time it should be fixable. When I got my 21 edge, the rear drivers door was noticabely off when closed the gap was terrible. The little protective sticker on the top of the bumper was also bubbled. Drivers taillight assembly had water vapor/mist on the lens. My vehicle was produced Aug 21 as things were opening back up. So I got a few bad things, and the dealer fixed them all.
  13. I will tell you it can be very helpful. Went to wife's corporate holiday party. Top shelf event with top shelf alcohol. Dropped the wife off at the front of the hotel while I went and found a parking lot nearby to park (I'm OCD with my cars and don't valet ever). 5 hours later I could not remember where I parked as we came out a different entrance and I had never been to the area. Ford Pass app located my 21 Edge and you can send that to Google Maps. Wife put Google maps in walking mode and got directions right to the car. That alone was worth it lol.
