Ford's Quick Defrost Windshield/Rear Window option was first introduced in 1974 on two of its top of the line prestige cars, the Ford Thunderbird and Continental Mark IV. Using the same space age technology as the Boeing 747 electrically heated windshield. A transparent, thinly coated gold-bearing metallic film is sandwiched between layers of polyvinyl butyral and glass. When electrical current is applied to this film, it warms quickly and evenly to rapidly clear the glass of frost or ice. A second alternator is provided on cars equipped with this option, and two defrost power levels were provided: high for initial fast clearing, and low to keep the glass clear. After three to four minutes of operation, the glass areas are mostly cleared. One characteristic of this glass is its distinctive gold tint, clearly visible from outside the car, but barely perceptible from within. In addition to fast defrosting, this film layer laminated within the layers of glass rejects non-visible solar heat, which improves air conditioning performance during the warmer months. Known in the glass industry as the DW825 windshield, this option was short lived due in part to its cost, which was $306.70 on the Mark IV in 1974, and peaked at $360 on that same model in 1976.

Is Leatherette from cows and Leather from Bulls?
Leatherette is a form of artificial leather, usually made by covering a fabric base with plastic. The fabric can be made of a natural or a synthetic fibre which is then covered with a soft PVC layer.

Dislikes are the constant beeping of the rear sensors (parking sensors) that beep like crazy whenever the vehicle is stopped, or near stopped. Sometimes the beep, sometimes they don't. These should only beep when in reverse and they detect an object, not while driving. The stereo gets muted whenever the sensors go off making driving very annoying until you turn the sensors off.
The rear sensors are only active when the transmission is in R (Reverse).
The front sensors are active when the gearshift is in any position other than P (Park) or N (Neutral) and the vehicle speed is below 6 mph.
The system sounds an audible warning when obstacles are near either bumper in the following manner:
• Objects detected by the front sensors are indicated by a high-pitched tone from the front radio speakers.
• Objects detected by the rear sensors are indicated by a lower pitched tone from the rear radio speakers.
• The sensing system reports the obstacle which is closest to the front or rear of the vehicle. For example, if
an obstacle is 24 inches (60 centimeters) from the front of the vehicle and, at the same time, an obstacle is only 16 inches (40
centimeters) from the rear of the vehicle, the lower pitched tone sounds.
• An alternating warning sounds from the front and rear if there are objects at both bumpers that are closer than
10 inches (25 centimeters).

Yes. I think the next Ford Super Duty will have a boxed frame. Right now, I like what GM has done with their boxed frame and suspension improvements. Ram 2500/3500 is also boxed.
But all of these trucks are tremendously capable and awesome. I think any fan of domestic vehicles should be very proud. Competing only amongst themselves, all three have built the best trucks we've ever driven. 2011 is a huge win for HD truck buyers, regardless of brand.
The reason why the Ford Super Duty does not have a fully boxed frame.

It’s the latest phase of the new 3.5-liter EcoBoost truck engine’s “Torture Test,” a multipart series of web-based documentaries that began when this randomly selected EcoBoost engine endured the equivalent of 150,000 miles or 10 years’ use on the dynamometer, replicating the duty cycle of the harshest-use customer.
