  1. The hits keep coming.... http://www.autoblog.com/2014/06/04/gm-extending-warranties-cadillac-cts-v-chevy-camaro-zl1/
  2. This isn't even selective enforcement. These companies have broken no laws at all.
  3. Heard of it? I'm not surprised if you haven't. It's a DOJ initiative that pressures banks to discontinue doing business with companies that the Administration has labeled "high risk" or otherwise objectionable, even though they are legally operated businesses. It's also not surprising that firearms related companies are on the list but this isn't about gun-control. Now, some of these businesses, like payday lenders, I find a but unsavory but I recognize they have a legal right to operate. But it is a HUGE concern that the administration is attempting to persecute businesses they don't like by executive fiat. This just reeks of the flagrant abuse of executive power disguised as a crime prevention initiative. I find some strong parallels to the IRS targeting scandal in that executive agencies are being used as operatives fighting a secret war on American citizens that the administration dislikes. More info HERE.
  4. As Blackhorse said, the food is crap (my only use for McDonald's is the men's room while on the road). The main draw is speed and price. If the price goes up, people will stop buying. It won't survive at a higher price point.
  5. The fast food chains are already talking about replacing cashiers with kiosks.
  6. I work in a right to work state. I made minimum wage for 8 years in high school and college. I left college (with a degree with actual career potential and not something in "Renaissance Impressionistic Art") and worked my way up. I wasn't recruited and had to bust my ass for everything and I took advantage of every opportunity. NOTHING was given to me. I now make 6 figures and am globally respected for my knowledge and expertise by my coworkers. All it takes is patience, hard work, good career decisions and the willingness to sacrifice in the short term for long term success.
  7. I didn't even realize he'd been banned because I had him on ignore. Oh well....
  8. I read that "I have no beliefs of my own but I hate others for what they believe".
  9. In 2008, Harry Reid said about then candidate Barack Obama is "a light-skinned African-American with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one." What a racist!
  10. Ever seen the Camry trunk pass-through? It's very narrow due to all the structural buttressing.
  11. The big question is whether they were prosecuting ALL 4c groups that lied on their applications or doing it selectively. The appearance is that it was selective.
  12. Apology accepted. I would like to point out that while I mentioned Reid specifically, I also mentioned Congress as whole (Democrats and Republicans) as being corrupt. I've lost confidence in our political parties.
  13. Nice try but you another classic LH FAIL. You felt the need to reply to my post trying to correct it because it only included a Dem. That's the real butthurt here. You get a major case of it whenever you feel a Dem is being slighted. As for the other part, that's all you had to post instead of the obnoxious "fixed it for ya".
  14. My post was specifically about Harry Reid. Not mentioning Mike Lee (who I know very little about) does not in any way invalidate my post. It's not my problem if you got butt hurt about it and decided you needed to "fix" something that didn't need fixing. You need to just get over it.
  15. Wrong. What I posted was entirely correct and needed no correction.
  16. I didn't post anything incorrect or invalid. It didn't need "fixing". When you actually do something worthy of my thanks, I'll let know.
  17. Harry Reid is also under investigation for corruption. As far as I'm concerned, most of Congress is corrupt. Time for an enema to clean'em out!
  18. Bad analogy. It may have been one of England's colonies but it was never a part of the United States.
  19. Crimea was part of Russia from the late 1700's up until Kruschev decided to make it part of the Ukraine province in 1951. As far as I'm concerned, the citizens of Crimea should be able to rejoin Russia if they vote to do so. We should just stay out of it.
