    It's interesting that when I search for special offers (rebates or financing) on the Edge, I get nothing for my zip code. This rebate must be regional.

    It gets hot in the summers but you get used to it, just like you're used to frigid cold in the winter. There are pros and cons wherever you call home. Personally, I like being able to take my kid trick or treating at Halloween without bundling them up like they're about to scale Everest, but hey, that's just me!

    Yeah, I had damage to my home from Hurricane Rita. Luckily it was only minor. We do have winter here. It was a frigid 26 this morning! :shades:

    I've never noticed on any of my cars. Of course I live in Southeast Texas and snow isn't that much of a problem....

    How do you know it was a 2006? The '06s and '07s look a lot alike to me. Now the '08 is definitely different.

    "Loosely based" is another way of saying it doesn't share that much with the LS. To me, that means it's a completely different platform. The post above says it's mostly LS with very little Mustang which contradicts everything I've read about the MKR. If there's some other specific information about the platform, I'd love to see it.

    Do you have something to back that up? Everything I've read is that it rides on a stretched Mustang platform and the IRS was originally designed for the Mustang but later shelved due to cost (i.e. bean counters killed it). It was resurrected for the MKR concept.

    I've driven alot of FWD cars and never experienced understeer as severe as in the video. BTW, as a former owner of a Mazda6, I didn't care for the trashing either! :kissass:

    If I'm not mistaken, the Aura is based on the Vauxhall/Opel Vectra. I sure hope they fixed the wicked understeer problem. Watch this Top Gear video and you'll see what I mean: Link To Video
